Mission: The Forest Of Deadly Snakes (P)

Yuto has waiting at the entrance of the Forest for the mission participants. "Hmmm these snakes are causing major problems, Its about time a assigned ninja to take care of it" Yuto said to himself. He picked the ninja he believed that he had picked the right ninja for the job. A medical Jounin named Yoru Hikari, his childhood friend, he would be perfect with his skill and medical techniques. A Chuunin named Fujimaru Timaki who was the head teacher of the Academy and a greatly skilled Genjutsu specialist. Lastly Hayate Mitarashi, a powerful Genin currently studying Medical Techniques, Yuto thought it would be great for for Hayate to learn better medical skills from Yoru.

Yuto took a sit as his guards raised their attention like somebody was heading towards them.

Fujimaru was annoyed, he had to go on a lame C rank mission, he had a lot of work in the Academy and hadn't time for this. "It is the Hokages order" Fujimaru thought as he slowly started to walk to the Forest of Death. "This better be a quick mission, or I am not going to be prepered for the new classes". Fujimaru was carrying a minor backpack filled with scrolls, paper and pens, he hoped to be able to work a little during this mission. "Well it only is a C rank so i shouldn't take more that a day or 2" Fujimaru comforted himself.

The Forest of Death was right before him, there was only a hundred meters or so to the entrance. Fujimaru could see a few shadows at the gate already, "I hope that is the rest of the team" Fujimaru thought. When he came closer, he could recognize the Hokage and his guards. "Damn, it isn't them" Fujimaru thought while walking towards the Hokage. "Hokage-sama, I didn't expect to see you here, who are the other teammembers for this mission?" Fujimaru said with a fake smile.

Yoru had just received a message from one of the Hokages personal guards to report at the Konoha gates for a C rank mission. Yoru already talked to the Hokage about this and knew what it was about. Even though this was just a Crank mission he knew that it was of great importants to the patients in his hospital. He had a sudden increase of posion victims been sent to the hospital and an ANBU had informed of the increase in deadly snake numbers in the Konoha forest. The hospital was running out of posion for anti-posion remedies. Yoru packed a bag and left the hospital. Other than the posion victims the hospital was quiet today and expected to be tomorrow. This was perfect timing for Yoru to go on a quick mission, Plus he had fujimaru and another genin with him which would be a big help. Yoru walked closer to the Konoha gates, he slipped the clear, resealable bags in his top pocket of his pack and re checked he had everything he needed. When he looked up he saw fujimaru and the Hokage at the gate..."Hmm the genin must not be here yet, Hello everyone how are we on this sunny morning?"

Hayate was groggy, he didn't want to wake up and go on a mission today. He would be quite content with staying at home and reading, maybe play some chess if he felt like it. Hayate sat up in bed, he positioned himself so that his feet where dangling over the edge, not touching the floor but close to it. "This is a pain, but at least it's a C ranked mission. Hopefully I will get to actually do something, probably not." He looked at his feet as they swayed back and forth. "Buhh, this sucks!" He put on his shoes and began to pack his bag; he threw some shuriken and kunai in it, then opened his desk drawer and pulled out several syringes. Ya never know, he thought to himself. He headed out the door, and proceeded through the village, the place looked desolate. He continued through the town until he reached the gate, he took notes of the others and gave them a nod. "Morning people, let's knock this out quick, shall we."

Yuto giggled "You girls this mission should be easy for Such skilled ninja as you guys" Yuto said sarcastically as he began to laugh. "Ok well seriously now, There are two giant snakes in the forest behind me..." explained Yuto as he turned to Yoru "As you already know my friend" he said looking into Yoru's eyes. Yuto connected with Yoru for a second knowing they both felt a heavy pain for the victims. Yuto turned back to the group, "Some ninja have even been killed by these monsters. Your mission is too enter the forest and kill them both, Bring me their heads." said Yuto with anger "They are both males so there is no chance of babies..only these two" he continued. "And Yoru please bring back some venom, I'd like you to study it for a cure" said Yuto as he threw a little sample bottle to place the venom in. "I wish you all luck, Report back me at the end of the mission I will be at my office" said Yuto as he walked back to the village with his guards trailing behind.

Before he left for the mission Fujimaru knew the mission would involve snakes and their venom, but this. "Great, two large poisonous snakes wanting to kill me" Fujimaru felt depressed, but knew he had to do the mission anyway.
"At least we have two medical ninja, eventhough one of them isn't much a medic yet." Fujimaru tried to make himself feel better. "I really hate snakes, you never know what they might do, at least they are fairly dumb, so genjutsu ought to work well. But I really hate those animals." Fujimaru started to walk towards the gate, in front of the gate several warningsigns were painted of the gate. "This is just great". Fujimaru turned around, looked at his teammembers "What are you waiting for, a written invitation from the snakes? Let's go" Fujimaru opened the gate and walked inside the forest...

Yoru walked ahead, "Follow me guys, the snakes should be deep in the forest." Yoru jumped up into the trees as his team followed. "We have to work as a team or we may get killed, don't do anything without me knowing or we could all could not be coming back." even though it was a serious talk, Yoro said it with a smile on his face. "Let's get going," Yoru jumped from tree to tree through the forest. The deeper he and his team went the darker it became, he didn't like the dark that much. Not knowing what is there doesn't appeal to him, but he would never show it.

Hayate, looked at the other two squad mates, he gave a smirk when Fujimaru said "What are you waiting for, a written invitation from the snakes? Let's go". Hayate looked at him and said, "Why yes, I would love an invitation." He chuckled lightly to himself as he followed Yoru's lead. They moved quite swiftly through the trees, jumping from branch to branch, speeding up ever so slightly after each jump. Hayate took point at the rear of the squad, he would watch their backs just in case one, or both of the snakes where to catch the off guard. He tried to ready himself mentally as they entered deeper into the darkness. He found peace in the darkness, it calmed him. He felt more focused as the leapt onwards. "Soo... what exactly to we plan on doing once we see this huge snakes..."

The mission had started and the team was inside the forest. They were jumping from branch to branch in order to move quicker. Hailstorm looked worried, it was his first C rank mission, so Fujimaru understood his feelings. "Soo... what exactly to we plan on doing once we see this huge snakes..." Fujimaru heard Hailstorm say behind him. "We kill them, pure and simple, Hailstorm." Fujimaru said in a harsh tone. But quickly added; "don't worry, me and Yoru will probably do all the fighting, you will just watch and learn." Fujimaru closed his mouth and mind again, focusing on the task at hand: finding the snakes and killing them.

Yoru looked behind him to see Fujimaru and Hayate jumping behind him vigorously. He smiled "they are keeping up good." He knew Fujimaru would, he was one of Konoha's most talented, experienced chuunin's and he knew that he could share the work load when Fujimaru was around. He sensed Hayate being a little worried so he had to say something. " We will be killing the snakes, don't underestimate them they have a powerful, deadly poison, but don't worry your in good hands." "We need to bag their heads and i will extract posion from their corpses into sterilised container bottles. If any of you get bitten you have to tell me instantly, or it could be deadly. I have to get to the poison before it spreads through your body." But I'm sure we will be fine, Yoru said with a smile on his face. He turned back and faced the dark forest ahead, they were close he could feel it and something told him that it wouldn't be as straight forward as first intented.

Hayate, was beginning to feel a little uneasy. He tried to hide his expression but he knew that they had realized he was nervous when Yoru said "We will be killing the snakes, don't underestimate them they have a powerful, deadly poison, but don't worry your in good hands." This put Hayate at ease, if only for a minute. It was nice to know that he had a Jounin a skilled Chuunin with him in case anything too bad happened. He would try and help as much as he could, even if it was just carrying the corpses back he would give it his all. The thought of carrying the remains of the snakes made him grin. They would annihilate these monsters hey thought. They deeper and deeper they traveled into the forest he could sense something, the snakes probably knew they where there. Hayate began to feel less nervous and intimidated and began to feel empowered. He wasn't going to let these higher ranking nin have all the fun, he would make them think twice before looking down on him. He was going to prove himself here today. Hayate's confidence started to show as he picked up more speed, he lunged to the head of the group, with a grin on his face he turned back to Yoru and Fujimaru "How bout you guys keep up huh, you're makin me look bad, slowin me down n such."

Fujimaru wasn't paying much attention to his teammates, the only thought in his head was to find the snakes. When Hayate suddenly rushed forward, Fujimarus lost his concentration. "How bout you guys keep up huh, you're makin me look bad, slowin me down n such." Hayate said with a grin, Fujimaru was annoyed, this young Genin believed that he could outrun Fujimaru and Yoru. "Get back in line Hayate, if we move quicker than now, we will make to much noise, the snakes will notice." Fujimaru was surprised that Hayate hadn't though his actions through. "But he is only a Genin" Fujimaru reminded himself.
Fujimaru saw something up head and made the stop-sign to his teammates, then he snuck a few hundred meters. There was a small glade and the two giant snakes were there, enjoying the little sun that could reach through the treetops. "Found them" Fujimaru thought as he signaled the team.

Yoru saw Hayate run ahead. "Kids" he thought. "Don't run too far ahead hayate, you don't know whats up their." Yoru saw Fujimaru go ahead and talk to hayate. Then suddenly Fujimaru stopped and gave the signal the sankes must be ahead. Fujimaru crept closer while Hayate stayed back. Yoru jumped up ahead with Fujimaru. he saw the two snakes up ahead, they were larger than he first anticipated. They were lying on the bottom of the forest coiled up in a circle. One was partly underneath the roots of a large tree while the other was partically seperated being a few metres away in the open. "Fujimaru, do you have any ideas for a plan of attack?" Yoru had a few scenario's planned out in his head, but he waned to see what Fujimaru thought first. if they were going to destroy these deadly snakes without getting hurt, they are going to have to work as a team. Yoru then looked back to see hayate who was standing with an unusual look on his face.

Hayate stood there with a questionable look on his face. "You gonna include me in the conversation or what" he said to his two team-mates who seemed to be deep in thought about the possible strategies they should use to take down the snakes. Hayate was curious as to what they had in mind, these snakes where huge, he felt a bit outclassed. After his previous mistake of running out in front of everyone he was a bit hesitant to offer any opinions on the current situation. He realized he messed up and that he had a lot to learn on how he might become an exceptional shinobi. For now he would watch and learn from his higher ups. Arrogance was something he should not exercise too frequently here. If he got to cocky again it might end up with him being dead. He looked at the snakes, then back at his team mates. He just waited patiently in the background, they would let him know what to do and when to do it.

Fujimaru was trying to make a strategy that would work against the big snakes. Genjutsu would work since snakes are quite stupid, the if the genjutsu is vision related it doesn't work since snakes detect heat. Many thought ran through Fujimarus mind, but then a plan formed. "Yoru, I have a plan, you and I will make a diversion with shadow clones and Hayate will use his water clones. The snakes can't sense the water clones and they can prefer and preform an attack with explosive traps, in the mean time we will draw the snakes' attention." Fujimaru looked intensely on his teammmates. "Hayate, you will make as many water clones as possible, don't attack right away, we need to kill these snakes without getting hurt, make a lot of traps using explosive tags and if you can get some tags around the snakes." Fujimaru didn't wait for an answer, "Yoru I will make use of a ninjutsu-genjutsu combo, so my clones can't back you up for that long since these jutsu will burn of a lot of chakra." Fujimarus pulse was rising, "before the attack I will use a genjutsu to draw one of the snakes away into an area that the two of you have filled with traps, when that snakes is killed, we will attack the remaining one as first planned" Fujimarus body was pumping of adrenaline.

Yoru was impressed with fujimaru's plan, a little different to what he had planed but more or less the wider idea was the same. " We need to draw the snakes away from each other, Fujimaru and Hayate use your water clones to distract the snake furthest away from the tree, into an open area west from the snake underneath the tree. Hayate and Fujimaru you send your clones in for a distraction on the first snake and your real bodies make the explosive traps like Fujimaru said. I will keep the other snkae distracted with my clones and i will kill it, you do the same im sure you two can handle the other snake!" Yoru said with a smile on his face. "Fujimaru take care of Hayate i will be with you when im done, i expect you will be able to handle this you are a great ninja. And Hayate learn, listen and react promptly! What Fujumaru says goes, you got it?" Yoru said with a serious look on his face. Now go Yoru yelled Kage Bunshin No Jutsu He created three clones of himself and jumped from tree to tree closer to the snakes lare.


Kage Bunshin No Jutsu [Shadow Clone Jutsu]

Description: Kage Bunshin is a Jounin level Ninjutsu technique. When Naruto stole the scroll of seals, he learned this technique as well. The normal Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja that lacks any substance. The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones. This makes Kage Bunshin an excellent training method if the ninja has the chakra capacity and stamina to maintain the Kage Bunshins for an extended period of time. This allows the ninja to essentially reduce the time it takes to train and learn with each clone added. This is especially true when used with Tajuu Kage Bunshin.

Hayate was standing at a position of attention behind the two high level nin. He was just waiting to receive orders and follow through on them. He seen Yoru turn around and address both himself and Fujimaru. " We need to draw the snakes away from each other, Fujimaru and Hayate use your water clones to distract the snake furthest away from the tree, into an open area west from the snake underneath the tree. Hayate and Fujimaru you send your clones in for a distraction on the first snake and your real bodies make the explosive traps like Fujimaru said. I will keep the other snake distracted with my clones and I will kill it, you do the same im sure you two can handle the other snake!" Hayate had heard these words from Yoru and immediately began making hand seals, muttered to himself Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu and four water clones sprung from the ground behind him. Each one of them stood at the ready. He then readied some explosive tags that he had in his pack. Hayate awaited Fujimaru’s next move, he would follow his lead into this battle and hopefully come out of this alive.

Fujimaru thought that Yoru's plans was okay, so he didn't make any objections. Yoru had told him to make water clones, but Fujimaru couldn't make water type jutsu, so he decided to make 5 shadow clones instead. "Hayate, follow my clones and set up the traps, using explosiv tags, I'll remain here and when the time is right lure the snake into our trap" Fujimaru said with a smile. "Let's go and preper the traps" one of the shadow clones said before taking of. "Yoru, don't worry about your student my clones will take care of him." Fujimaru said with ironic smile on his face. "Before you ask, I am going to make the snake thirsty and guide it through the area with traps. Now we just wait for Hayata and the clones to set the trap up." Fujimaru sat in a comfortable position, waiting for the trap to be ready.

Yoru trusted Fujimaru with hayate's protection. " yeah if needed just get him with a genjutsu, Well i better be off." Yoru said with a smile on his face. He jumped down from the tree, His clones had already gotten the attention fo the snake. It was huge when it had uncoiled itself. Yoru was surprised with its actually size. " Jeez they weren't kidding when they said big snakes!" Two of Yoru's clones had been destroyed by the snake whipping its tail across both of them and destroying them. It wasn't a big loss Yoru gathered the information from the destroyed clones and went in Chakra no Mesu Yoru's hand glowed with blue chakra he sprinted towards the snake. He was going to get up close and aim for the muscles controlling the snakes neck, tearing thorugh and braking it's neck. He jumped up in the air and landed on the snakes long body. The snake turned around and lunged at him with its large fangs. Yoru dodged and fell off the snakes body to the ground. "Hmm..this might not be as easy as i thought."

Chakra no Mesu [Chakra Scalpel]

Description: This ninjutsu technique is used primarily for field surgery. The ninja concentrates a powerful aura of chakra around their hand, creating a blade capable of tearing through muscles and arteries, or breaking bone, without actually breaking the skin of the person they're using it on.

Hayate and his clones pulled out some exploding tags from their packs so that they could begin setting up the traps for the first large snake that was left near the base of the massive tree and was currently sleeping. They each decided on where the explosive tags would be placed, three clones would set up tags to the North, West and East of the snake. They got as close as they could to it, without waking it and since there bodies gave off no heat signatures from being made entirely out of water the clones would get fairly close to it. They ended up making it ten meters around the snake and placed their tags flatly on the ground. Whist all of this was being taken care of Hayate was placing his tag to the south of the snake, this was only a precaution in case it tried to escape...
Hayate and the clones then returned to Fujimaru and waited for him to give the signal to attack

When Hayate and his clones left, Fujimaru was absolutly sure that he would get the job done. If it Fujimaru would have to teach him at the academy once again, and of course Fujimaru didn't want to start over with him again. On the other hand Fujimaru felt confident in the young shinobis skills. "Yoru, don't attract the other snakes attention to much, then it will be difficult to lure it into the traps.

Yoru seemed to either have underrestimated the snakes or he simply didn't take this serious. "Is must be the later" Fujimaru thought. "He is a Jounin" Fujimaru reminded himself. Eventhough Yoru didn't seem to be able to take the snake down easily, on the other hand he wasn't really trying.

A few minuts after Hayate and the clones left, Fujimaru saw Hayate give him the attack signal, the traps were in place. Allright time to begin" Fujimaru thought as he stood up. The other snakes was interessed in the fight between Yoru and the other snakes, but it didn't seem likely that it was going to join the fight. "Seth Hi No Jutsu" Fujimaru said as he focused on the snake. A few moments later the snakes took off heading east (the nearest water source was in that direction). Fujimaru smiled this should work out nicely. The snakes was now in the edge of the glade, "now is our chance, I am counting on Hayate" Fujimaru thought.

Yoru was in battle with the snake which was underneath the tree. Fujimaru led the snake off in the opposite direction while Hayate laid traps for the snake to walk into. This plan was flawless, if Yoru held up his end of the bargain. He had underestimated the snake on his first attack but that wouldn't happen twice, Yoru always learn't from his mistakes. Kage Bunshin No Jutsu Yoru created two clones. Yoru had a plan which would finish this battle once and for all, he didn't have time to muck around he had to get the job done and fast. One of Yoru's clones preformed some handsigns Sunabokori A cloud of dust came up from the ground surrounding the giant snake redering him blind. Yoru and one of his clones ran up and jumped onto the snakes body. Yoru knew for certain the snake would feel his body movements but thats what the clone was for. The snake lunged at Yoru with its sharp fangs. if he was hit with this deadly poison he would need to get to a hospital and fast. Yoru quickly ordered his clone in front of him 'Poof' it had disappeared. The clone had brought Yoru enough time to get close to the snakes head and attack his nervous system. Satsugaite no Jutsu Yoru focused a large mass of concentrated chakra in his hand easily enough to kill the snake or at least knock it well out. He striked, Yoru hit the snake right along the side of its head. The impact of the jutsu was felt straight away as the snake fell like a rotten tree in the forest. The dust cloud had settled by now and Yoru disabled his other clone. He stood their on top of the snakes head. It was quite amazing, You could fight 5 of him on jus the snakes head. But he knew he didn't have time to muck around, he got out a scalpel from his med kit and slashed just underneath the snakes throat. The then got out a small, sterile container and unscrewed the lid. With the scalpel in his other hand he cut just enough to trickle the venom gland into the container. He had got his venom sample and was now concentrating on finding Fujimaru and Hayate. He jumped up into the trees to search for his mission team mates. "I hope that they are alright." Yoru said quietly to himself.

The massive snake had felt the effect of the Genjutsu, that Fujimaru used on it. The snake shifted it's massive body to the east so that it could head for the water and replenish it's thirst. Hayate and the clones seen the snake preparing to move, so he got ready for an attack, Hayate drew two kunai. He had one in each of his hands as he waited for the snake to trigger his traps. The snake moved and it's tail triggered the trap that was laid 10 meters to the west of it. The trap caused an explosion that had severely damaged the snakes tail. It was bleeding very badly and had numerous burns all over it. When the explosion to the west went off it cause the snake to rush forwards and hit the tag that was laid directly in the path towards the water on the east side. The explosion made by this trap done extensive damage to the snakes underbelly. The snake was suffering from extensive scorch marks and gashes all over it's body. It looked fatigued and hurt so Hayate decided to use this time to his advantage, he charged the snake and began to run up it's back while it was distracted by the explosions. He ran up to the head of the snake and took the kunai from his right hand and dug it in deep to the top of the snakes skull. The massive snake began to thrash and flail around, Hayate had to grab onto the Kunai in order to stay on the top of the snakes head. As the snake was moving about Hayate took his other Kunai and he stabbed it into the neck of the snake. He jumped from the top of the snakes head and swung around to the front of it, whilest still holding the Kunai into the neck of the snake. Hayate pulled the kunai across and then began dragging it down the underbelly of the snake, gutting it. Hayate stepped away from the snake and dispersed his water clones. He looked over and noticed that Yoru had finished off his snake also. He hoped that maybe he had impressed the two higher ranking nin, showing them that he two could kill the snake. Hayate looked over at Fujimaru hoping for a sign of approval.

Fujimaru had followed the snake as it went to the east. Suddenly an explosive set off and the snake was wounded, several other explosives wounded the snake. "It looks like Hayate did a good job with traps" Fujimaru thought. Suddenly Hayate jumped at the snake with a kunai in each hand, stabbing the snakes in head. "What on earth is he doing" Fujimaru didn't believe that the Genin would do something as stupid as that. "Doesn't he know that if the snake bites him, he might die" Fujimaru was about to help Hayate, when he swung under the snake and gutted it. Hayate stood besides the corpse of snake looking at Fujimaru, Fujimaur should see that he wanted a pad on the back of some sort. "Well he sure was guts" Fujimaru thought as he shouted "good job Hayate", before looking behind him where Yoru was walking closer. "Let's get out of this bloody forest" Fujimaru yelled. Fujimaru did wait for an answer, he shouldn't wait to return to his normal job at the academy...

Yoru had walked over towards Hayate and Fujimaru to see that they had finished off the snake around the same time he did. " Yeah lets get out of here guys, i have enough of the snakes posion sample to make some venom antidotes back at the hospital. But we better get going im sure we all have something important to do back in the village." Yoru said looking at Fujimaru, knowing that he had paper work to do. Yoru shouldn't laugh he also had a lot of paper work on his desk, but he was hoping that if he posponded it for long enough it would magically go away. He hated doing paper work but it was a part of his job and he had to live with it. Yoru looked at Hayate and Fujimaru and said " Should we go now?" Yoru packed the venom sample in the back of his med kit and set off a long the trees jumping swiftly. " Come on guys or we wont make it back before nightfall."
