Looks: Kigen is 5 ft, 10 inches tall with a medium build and
striking silver hair. He has few markings on his body, but of the few he has the most distinct are a 2-foot-long jagged scar on his back, reaching from his left shoulder to his right lower torso and another 6 inch scar crossing the first half way down his back. Kigen’s eyes are a steely grey color with a hint of pale purple to them.
Kigen is usually seen with his boomerang strapped to his back diagonally within easy reach of his right hand. He wears a loose purple jacket which conceals the light armor he wears underneath. The purple gloves Kigen wears were especially tailored from thick leather for the purpose of absorbing shock. This comes in handy especially when Kigen attempts to catch his giant boomerang. Kigen has dark-colored pants that fit loosely to allow him to make quick, rapid movements. His sandals are the same hue of purple as the rest of his outfit and were designed to allow Kigen to make sudden motions without any hindrance.
Personality: Kigen is a temperamental and somewhat reclusive boy. He often will charge into a situation without thinking, and just rely upon his skills to see him out of it. This rash behavior has gotten Kigen into trouble before; however, Kigen has never learned enough patience to sit back idly and watch the situation, if he feels he should intervene.
Kigen does not befriend many, but he is incredibly loyal and passionate about those, who he does consider friends. This most likely stems from his idealistic view of friendship and hate of people who betray their friends and family, unfortunately due to past betrayals, Kigen is somewhat reserved when meeting new people and prefers to remain in the background (especially around large groups).
Personality Trait's: The only personality trait that is major for Kigen is his hate for traitors. These could be people, who have betrayed their friends and family, or missing-nin, who have betrayed their country. This hate compels Kigen to extreme anger, when he meets these traitors. Therefore, it should not come as any great surprise that Kigen hopes to one day to a tracker ninja, who can hunt down and destroy the traitors of his village.

Special Characteristics: Kigen has trained to better his reaction time and reflexes. This training comes became necessary after Kigen would jump into battles without thinking all the way ahead and would thus severely injure himself. So instead of changing his style and temperament, Kigen worked to better his reflexes, so he can fight multiple opponents at once or be ambushed and escape with less injury.

Origin: The Boomerang Sword originally belonged to Kigen’s mother. However, after her murder, Kigen took his mother’s boomerang and adopted it as his own.

Description: Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.

Description: Fuuton • Daitoppa is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Wind Element. After bringing his hand to his mouth, Kigen will blow a large blast of wind capable of leveling most anything in its way. After doing this Kigen may send some chakra through his boomerang and then throw it after the blast of air. The boomerang would then be more hidden amongst the strong wind and strike at the target.
Background Information
Kigen was born as the older of two children. Both of his parents were average Shinobi of the Village Hidden in the Sand, who led pretty average lives and were both delighted to have a son. His mother gained some fame for wielding a giant boomerang sword, but that was the most recognition that his family received. For the first five years of his life, Kigen lived as an only child with his mother and father. Then, came his sister, Mia and for four years the four of them lived happily.
It was two weeks before, Mia’s birthday when the first signs of change to come arose. Kigen was out with his father running errands, when his father suddenly disappeared for a short while. When he returned, he had several shallow cuts on his arms and left cheek and had blood stains on his shirt. When Kigen tried to ask his father what was going on, his father turned around and hit him. Stunned and speechless, Kigen watched as his father left him and walked away. Neither he nor his father ever said anything about what happened, but Kigen noticed something was wrong. His father would disappear at odd hours and would sometimes come back with cuts or small bruises. His father also became more reclusive and withdrawn, spending hours on end in his private study working on something only he knew. But the worst was yet to come, on Mia’s birthday everything went bad. Kigen awoke to hear his parents arguing that morning, and he rushed downstairs to see what was wrong. Kigen watched as the argument got worse and worse, until his father raised his hand to hit his mother. Not able to stand it anymore, Kigen picked up a knife from the kitchen and threw it at his father. His father turned and caught the knife and then threw it back at Kigen. Kigen jumped out of the way only to realize that his sister had been standing behind him. Distracted by Mia’s sudden appearance Kigen didn’t stop himself in time and crashed into the wall beside him with enough force to knock him unconscious. Without Kigen in the way the knife plunged into Mia’s little body and threw her back a couple feet. By this time Kigen’s mother had risen to her feet upon seeing the body of her daughter and what she assumed was the body of her son, she let out a desperate cry and turned on her husband. Making a couple quick hand signs she blew a small ball of flames at Kigen’s father. Kigen’s father dodged the fireball and threw three kunai at Kigen’s mother. She must have been out of it, after seeing her dead daughter because she didn’t dodge quickly enough and the kunai hit her. Looking down at his dead wife, Kigen’s father turned and walked out the door. The fireball that his mother had shot had hit the wall and was now beginning to spread.
When Kigen regained consciousness, he was in the hospital and his back felt like it was on fire. Noticing that he was a wake, one of the medical ninja came over to talk to Kigen. He told Kigen that some passing ninja, returning from a mission, had found their house in flames and noticed bodies on the floor. Rushing in they tried to save his mother and sister, but it was too late for them. They had already died, however, they got to Kigen just in time. Unfortunately as the ninja were pulling him up to carry Kigen out of the burning house, a piece of the ceiling collapsed and tore up part of Kigen’s back giving him some a couple of scars. Since, then tracker ninja had found his father fleeing in the direction of the Village Hidden in the Rain and had killed him. Kigen spent a couple more weeks in the hospital and was discharged after being declared completely healed. Since then, however, Kigen has hated traitors for what his father did.
RP Sample:
The sand of the surrounding desert scratched against Kigen’s face as the wind began to pick up and blow more of the annoying earth around. Lifting his right hand to shield his eyes, Kigen looked forward into the distance. Sighing he continued trudging along, he had already been walking for half the day looking for the oasis, and with the sun reaching its peak and the searing wind sweeping sand into him, Kigen felt like just giving into the heat. Pulling his hood closer to his face, Kigen wearily took the next couple of steps and began muttering under his breath, “I hate you, I really, really, freakin’ hate you. Could you have come out and harvest the oasis flowers? Nooo, you had to stay home and play house sitter. It was way too much trouble for you to just find someone else to do it, so instead you have me running around doing all your errands. Not to mention the directions you gave me were wrong and now I’m stuck out here in the middle of the day. ‘It won’t take you more, than a half hour, Kigen. You should have it done in plenty of time before the sandstorm hits.’” Kigen continued muttering in a mock voice of his friend, who had asked him to do this. Kigen pulled his cloak tighter around him, so that the faint impression of a large, V-shaped object was visible on his back. Trudging onward, Kigen let the wind-swept sand slowly hide him from view.
