A Chance Meeting (Izumo and Mizu)

Mizu was standing in the park in her fighting position on a tree. She was training since she felt she was getting rusty. She had her headband on and she had her hair tied back to show She was training.

" Clone Jutsu" she said and four clones appeared to fight the fake targets. She did not like feeling incompetent so she fought them like they were real. She used her heel of her foot and hit the back of their heads.

She fought hard an hours straight then she began to pant. She was tired and she lied on the ground and then smiled and surrounded herself in water to see how she could control her element , it only reached her shoulders. She then meditated trying to blow off the adrenaline rush she felt

Izumo was walking through the Public Park. Stocked for he just recently got the rank of jounin earlier in the week. He was one of the youngest jounin in the village, which made him feel a bit left out. All the other jounin were going into the Tavern to have a drink and have a good laugh. But Izumo was only seventeen.

Izumo walked across the walkway. It was near the top of the trees. Izumo stopped and looked down over the ledge, leaning on the handrail. It was a fair distance down, it looked peaceful down there. Izumo looked back up at the sun, it was going to set soon. This was the part of the day Izumo loved the most. He just wished he had somebody to share these moments with. His fringe was blowing in the wind blowing gently across his face. Izumo smiled slightly as he went to walk home. When he heard a panting noise from the distance.

He looked back over the rail to see a girl laying on the ground, panting. "Hey are you okay down there?"

Mizu was now concentrating in meditation. She felt herself herself feeling calmer. Her breathing were deeper because she was concentrating to calm her adrenaline rush.

"Hey are you okay down there?" she heard .

She immediately looked up and the water dispersed and she looked a little annoyed. She looked at him, and saw that the person looked about her age and he looked like his level or training. She was annoyed because he interrupted her meditation . She rarely showed emotions because she felt that her anger would make her weak. She needed her meditation.

" Can I help you?" she said taking deep breaths.

The girl stopped meditating and looked up at Izumo. Izumo felt bad for interrupting her training, but he thought that something might of been wrong with all the panting.

"Can I help you?" the girl responded.

The sun light shot a beam down towards the girls face. Izumo's jaw dropped. The girl was shining in the light and she looked magnificent. Her big bright blue eyes glistened in the light and made Izumo get butterflies in his stomach. Izumo was a romantic when it came to talking to girls, but this girl made him speechless.

"Ummm ahhh ummmm" Izumo stuttered.

Mizu waited for a response. She was patient, but it depended on the situation. She was patient in reaching total meditation . Growing up she was told by her mother while she was alive, that she was like the ocean. She could be seen as peaceful and serene, but then when annoyed she could make people feel the ways of anger and annoyance run through her.

She then blocked those thoughts that could make her emotions show and raised and eyebrow waiting for him to say something. She was not trying to be rude, but she wanted to know what he wanted. She looked straight at him, waiting for his response. What she heard annoyed her.


"Ummm ahhh ummmm" she heard and her eyes concentrating on him even more.

She got up and put her hair down. She let is down since the training was over for this boy's interruption. She looked at him waiting for something more, but he said nothing, his reaction was cute, but she sighed.

' Not another one' she thought ' One stupid boy saying some pick up line and then pow they get a hit when they say something stupid to me. Well, I can see how strong I am if he says something stupid' she thought mentally shrugging.

" Can you speak more than asking if someone is okay and stuttering" she said somewhat amused.

Izumo was speechless 'Whats happening to me why am i stuttering? Why am I acting different to this one' Izumo thought.

"Can you speak more than asking if someone is okay and stuttering" the girl said. Izumo sensed some sarcasm in her voice. Which made him feel even more light headed. 'C'mon Man Get Your Act Together' He put his left hand on the hand rail again leaping over it to the forest below.

He hit the ground landed in a crouching position, before slowly standing up. The Girl was now directly in front of him. The butterflies in his stomach were getting even worse. But he sucked it all up to speak.

"I'm Izumo Tatake..." he said as he slowly bowed. "And It is lovely to meet you" he said as he came up from the bow.

Mizu looked at him. She was waiting for his response and he looked like he went to gaga land. She huffed blowing her bang out of her face. She thought he was slow, which was choice one, or he lost it. Too bad, he wasn't ugly either.

' There is always a fault in all men' her inner self said. She nodded inwardly.

She took a step back as he ended up right in front of her. She was not use to people having such a close space to her. She liked to keep her distance with people.

"I'm Izumo Tatake...And It is lovely to meet you" she heard.

She looked at him in a bored expression , but she was curious as to who he was.

" Mizu , Mizu Tenshi" she said. " And wish I could say the same" she said

She then heard a squeak from far away. She smiled forgetting he was there and put up a front as she saw her little Umi running towards her . She bent down and lifted her baby panda.

" Hey Chibi" she said smiling nuzzling her panda as it snuggled back.

She then stopped and remembered they weren't alone a light blush appeared and she cleared her throat looking away..

As he bowed the girl took a step back. He didn't realize this until he had stopped bowing. He looked up with her, she had a bored expression on his face. He didn't wanna seem like a sleazebag pulling out his romantic pick up lines, so he went with a basic, polite approach and that failed too. He didn't know what to do.

"Mizu, Mizu Tenshi" she said. "And wish I could say the same" she said.

Her last comment crushed him inside a bit. He thought he was one of the most likable people in the village. He would never say a bad thing about anybody and always put others before himself. He had a great personality, but it wasn't showing. He was still caught in her beauty. He felt like he was caught in a Genjutsu.

Izumo didn't know what else to say, the silence broke by a squeak from the distance. 'What is that a panda?' he thought. A cute little baby panda started running towards them. He looked at Mizu as she smiled.

Mizu bent down picking up the baby panda. "Hey Chibi" she said smiling nuzzling her panda as it snuggled back.

Izumo smiled, Mizu looked so cute snuggling her panda. She then stopped and looked at Izumo with a light blush, followed by clearing her throat and looking away.

Izumo blushed too, as his fringe covered his right eye. Izumo looked back up at that sun. "Beautiful isn't it?" he said as it was setting.

Mizu felt bad ....just a tiny bit as she saw his face when she said " Wish I could say the same" she could not help it for she was always doing that since she was young. She pushed people away it was a way to keep safe. Umi was the only one that cracks into her hard exterior.

She saw hi blush and she felt embarrassed for going soft for her baby. Umi was looking like she was laughing from her expression and Mizu discretely stuck out her tongue and Umi squeaked in laughter.

"Beautiful isn't it?"she heard him say about the sunset she nodded absentmindedly.

" Yes so beautiful" she said. " I love being out here during this time" she said .

Umi squeaked and tried to move towards Izumo. Umi was known to do this to all males she saw which annoyed Mizu to no end. Mizu held her tight to try to stop her.

" So what bring you here?" she asked trying not to be so rude.

Izumo heard the baby panda squeak and squeak, it sounded so cute Izumo smiled again, looking down trying to cover up his soft side.

"Yes so beautiful" Mizu said. "I love being out here during this time" she continued. Izumo looked back at Mizu. 'Mizu...' he said in himself. He didn't know what the end of the sentence was, he just met this girl, but he felt a weird connection.

The baby panda squeaked and tried to move towards Izumo. Izumo just looked at it, not sure to smile or be worried. Maybe the panda though Izumo planned taking Mizu away from it.

Izumo looked down at the ground again. "So what bring you here?" Mizu asked Izumo. Izumo looked back up.
"I come here almost every night. I just love how peaceful it is." Izumo explained.

He felt soft again. He blushed slightly with a innocent smile as he looked back down trying to cover it up.

"I come here almost every night. I just love how peaceful it is." she heard him say.

She looked at him semi impressed. She was interested as to who he was, he seemed to like the time of the day like she did. He did not annoy her so much since she could tolerate him. For her that was a big improvement.

' See he isn't so Omg marrying me type, or calling me beautiful, don't jump to conclusions' a voice said to her. She nodded in her head.

She bit her lip and sighed.

" So, you come here almost every night, coincidence how I do to. I meditate in this exact place everyday" she told him.

Umi squeaked nodding in approval and climb up Mizu's shoulder to lick Izumo's cheek. She nuzzled him and moved back down with a pink blush. Mizu blushed in embarrassment at her pet.

Izumo looked back up at Mizu. His hands began to shake a bit, so he put them in his pockets. The sun shined down a last ray before it would set and it would become dark. Izumo could see the lights above him on the walkway begin to light up. It was rather dark where the two shinobi were though.

"So, you come here almost every night, coincidence how I do to. I meditate in this exact place everyday" Mizu explained to Izumo. 'I wonder why I don't see her much, maybe shes so caught up in meditating and I've ruined her session for today' Izumo said swallowing some saliva, he felt guilty now.

The baby panda squeaked and crawls up Mizu, to lick Izumo on the cheek. Izumo felt the little sloppy tongue run up his cheek pushing his hair up showing both his eyes, for only a second before his fringe dropped back down. The quick second that both eyes were showing, Izumo looked directly into Mizu's eyes. Izumo's heart started feeling a weird sensation.

Izumo pulled his hand up his pocket and whipped the panda saliva off with his sleeve. Izumo let a quiet laugh. He saw Mizu blushing again. Which made him smile more. He took a step forward, standing right in front of Mizu and put his hand out to pat the baby panda. "So whats your name cutey?" he said as he gently stroked the baby panda.

Mizu blushed as she saw Umi embarrass her once again. She looked at his face and saw his two eyes. She was surprised at how full of intellect they had. She bit her lip to keep from laughing as Umi left a trail of saliva. She let out a small laugh and looked down at Umi.

" Sorry about that" she said softly.

She felt herself much smaller as he got closer and saw the height difference. She looked surprised as he put his hand on Umi's fur. She felt Umi did an almost purr. She squeaked happily.

"So whats your name cutey?" she heard him say.

She looked at him and smiled slightly.

" Her name is Umi" she said " I call her chibi" she said.

Umi cooed as he pet her softly and stretched out letting him pet her more in Angel's arms as Angel tried to glare at her.

Izumo was a fair bit taller than her, but he didn't care. He looked into her eyes as he continued to stroke the panda. "Sorry about that" Mizu said softly. "Its okay, i think its cute" Izumo said, whipping the last bit of saliva off his cheek.

"Her name is Umi" Mizu said "I call her Chibi" Izumo wasn't sure to call her Umi or Chibi, he didn't want to break a special bond by calling her Chibi. "Well hello Umi" Izumo said continuing to stroke her.

Mizu held Umi out a bit further for Izumo to pat. Izumo smiled as he reached underneath Umi and rubbed her little belly. Izumo stopped patting her after a short time and put his hand in his pocket. He felt awkward, he was standing right in front of Mizu, inches away from her face. For once in his life. He didn't know what to do. He felt it would be to soon if he went in to kiss her.

"Urgh well ummm, I better go soon, I have to get home and prepare, my dinner" Izumo said taking a step back. Izumo looked down in disappointment in himself.

Mizu looked at him and smiled at how sweet he was with Umi. She thought he was the sweetest guy she had met so far. She respected him, firs to all for being a jounin at their age. Most jounin were at the tavern.


"Urgh well ummm, I better go soon, I have to get home and prepare ,y dinner" she heard him say.

She frowned ..but had no idea why. She looked up at him and nodded. She took a step back and looked down her bang covering her eye.

" Okay, yeah.........I should too ,my chibi needs to sleep" she said softly.

She then looked back up and smiled slighty

They were both looking down. Izumo wasn't even that hungry. He wanted to spend more time around Mizu, and Umi too. He enjoyed their company.

"Well, I'm feeling a little tense, I might go to the Hot Springs to take a load off before I go home" Izumo said. "If you wanna come?" Izumo said looking back up to Mizu.

He was hoping she'd say yes. But he would understand if she'd say no. He felt rather forward. Not long ago she thought he was a stuttering idiot. If he was in her place, he wouldn't say yes. Mizu seems to good for Izumo. Izumo had to many flaws for such a perfect girl.

Mizu felt awkward that they were both looking down. She looked at Umi and Umi herself was sad and yawning.

"Well, I'm feeling a little tense, I might go to the Hot Springs to take a load off before I go home" she heard him say.

She thought for a moment and felt stupid as to why she never thought of that before her training. normally when she got home she took a warm bath and then bathed Umi and they fell asleep.


"If you wanna come?" She heard she looked up and looked at Umi. Umi nodded and licked his hand.

" Okay sure" she said smiling.





"If you wanna come?"

Izumo watched as Umi nodded in approval. Izumo smiled.

"Okay sure" Mizu said smiling.

"If you wanna come?" Mizu said, teasing Izumo.
Izumo walked right up next to her. "Well lets see if you can catch up, I'll go extra slow for you" Izumo said. After all he was super fast.

Izumo quickly kissed Mizu on the cheek and jumped up to the walkway. "Gotcha!" He said as he laughed. He then disappeared through the park heading towards the hot springs, knowing that Mizu would follow.

Mizu smiled and then she scrunched her nose as she heard this.

Well lets see if you can catch up, I'll go extra slow for you" she heard this and mocked glare.

She bent down to put Umi in her carrying bag and stood up. She then felt him kiss her cheek and she blushed in embarrassment . She felt out of place as to what to do. She heard Umi giggle and looked down glaring at Umi. Umi laughed louder in a cute laugh and Mizu could not help but laugh lightly.

She then heard. "Gotcha!" and she looked up him leaving already. She put on teh back pack quickly and climbed a tree jumping from limb to limb already catching up to him. Being of the water element she was flexible and graceful.

" Oh Izumo?" she said. She then saw him look up and she blew him a kiss going ahead laughing along with Umi.

Izumo was happy with how he kissed Mizu, it made her blush in embarrassment.

Izumo was now a good distance ahead, jumping from tree to tree. He then heard Mizu call out to him. "Oh Izumo?" she said and followed it up by blowing him a kiss.

He froze and blushed in embarrassment and forgot to pay attention where he was going. A tree branch came out of nowhere and smacked him across the torso. Izumo got winded and fell down the tree. He was really embarrassed now, he looked silly in front of Mizu.

He watched her pass him through the trees as he rubbed his sore belly. "Hey Wait Up" he said as he ran back up the tree and caught up to Mizu.
