R2:Sora Toutetsu vs Kimiko Miyamoto Ce_sta10

Leaf Chuunin

Through all the anxious waiting, Kimiko hadn't even gotten to fight someone yet, which she was looking forward too. On the bright side, she decided that it would build up more energy until the second round. The rows of people were probably disappointed, but their was nothing she could do about it. Kimiko just nodded her head and waltzed back up the stairs and into the room reserved for Chuunin Exam takers. Though the excitement was bubbling inside her she remained calm. Actually, she did occasionally clap and make loud cheers for the other matches. Watching the battles only made her want to fight more, something she actually rarely wanted to do. She was convinced it was probably because she wanted to show off some of her skills. On the downside, Sora would possibly be able to kick her butt, leaving Kimiko to wait until the next Chuunin Exams. She really didn't want to go through that, but then again what person would?

Those thoughts swirled around into her head like a witches brew. With some relief, they all ceased when the noises of claps and cheering filled the air. Her lips pursed in realization after the crowd died down. It was her turn against someone named Sora, who had ironically won be default like herself. A small smile was plastered onto the young kunoichi's face as she stepped down the steps, once again, on her way to the middle of the stadium.

She kicked up some dust, gazing around the stadium, waiting for Sora with her arms crossed. The same old proctor stood in place looking rather bored with his arms on his hips. Kimiko couldn't say she envied his job. She snapped out of her thoughts for the last time and began to stance herself. Being cocky wouldn't get her through this, only smarts and careful attacking. Her kunai were still sharp and her scroll was still intacted. Kimiko was ready for the fight against Sora. With her body stanced and breathing steady, she was sure she was ready. This was the path to go down on if she wanted to become Chuunin. Mentally, she wished for the best of luck for them and awaited.

The match would shortly begin. Kimiko Miyamoto versus Sora Toutetsu.

Sand Genin

No sooner had the excited noise of the crowd died down and started to wither into a nervous silence then the second contestant emerged from the opposite side of the stadium. Not a single breath was taken before – once again– the crowd’s hundreds of voices all joined together to create one large, incomprehensible cheer of support. Growing and growing until it filled the massive structure with the shouts and screams of a thousand people, all eager, and slightly impatient, for the impending fight to begin…

Amongst all the noise and stifling heat that had gathered in the vast stadium, Sora kept walking; unhurried and unflustered as he crossed the soft ground for the second time that same morning. A light haired kunoichi awaited him in the middle of the soon-to-be battlefield; from what he could see she looked around his own age, his own height even, but better trained no doubt. It would appear that experience was not on his side and he wouldn’t be surprised if she beat him within the first few minutes; it certainly looked that way. Her face was devoid of any emotion, even from up close. Her neutral features making it impossible to guess what she was thinking, making the thought of fighting against her even more daunting.

Up in the stands the noise of the crowd had finally died down, rising and falling until all that remained were a few, inaudible whispers of unconcealed anticipation. It was then that the proctor noisily cleared his throat and shouted for the entire stadium to hear:
‘ Round 2, Kimiko Miyamoto against Sora Toutetsu.’
Sora couldn’t help catching the boredom that laced his voice, a sort of weary reluctance that suggested he was either extremely tired or that he wasn’t expecting much from the two young shinobi stood before him. He couldn’t help letting out a shallow sigh, causing the proctor to stare at him for a moment with a look of tired amusement before shaking his head wearily and stepping back, allowing the contestants to reach their opponent. An absolute silence fell over the stands as the crowd waited, muttering amongst one another in an attempt to contain their desperate anticipation. Sora made a brief bow of respect and took a single step back, a few paces to his right the proctor’s weary voice spoke only three words…
‘You may begin...’

Leaf Chuunin

Kimiko hadn't really seen Sora's facial area from the deck reserved for the Chuunin Exams, but now that she was infront of him his features stood out. His skin was a delicate pale like her's, only more paler. His hair was a light brunette, like her's, but hung in a slight mess. Underneath his bangs, hid his sharp piercing blue eyes. Her amethyst colored eyes continued to examine him as he inched closer to the middle of the stadium. When he reached at his destination she noticed Sora examine the bored proctor, like Kimiko had done. A sigh from Sora seeped passed his lips and into the slighty tensed atmosphere. Before the match began, he made a brief bow and took a step back which was something she hadn't expected. Her eyes couldn't help but to flicker some interest and amusement at him and she returned a bow at him. The crowd continued to wait with a struggled silence. Kimiko usually noticed that Taijutsu users had a little more muscle to them, so she ruled out that his main couldn't be tai. Before she could think more intently on the matter -

"You may begin..."

Without much thought to it, she hopped back a little, eyeing Sora. How long would this match last? What was he going to do? For that matter what was she going to do? She refused to show any sign of worry and continued to be calm, breathing steadily. That was when a small plan plotted into her head. She calmly placed her hands behind her back, possibly looking as if she were holding kunai, but instead began to form some hand seals trying to be quiet as possible. After a few seconds the clone appeared right next to her. What Sora didn't know was that the clone was a genjutsu that only he would be able to see. With some hope, he would continue to try to attack the both of them until the genjutsu wore off, wasting up some of his energy and maybe some chakra, making it easier for Kimiko.

Only seconds after the first jutsu was preformed, Kimiko and her twin began to form more hand seals again. This time it was ninjutsu. Her twin wouldn't be able to cause any damage with the ninjutsu, but it might make Sora feel pressured. Only a few seconds later, the earth rumbled in the tiniest bit by Sora and medium sized vines came soaring from the earth. The vines then attempted to wrap around the boy's legs, whether the plan would work or not wasn't clear. She still had some chakra to spare, but would rather not waste all of it up if she wasn't sure it would work that well. Though she was optimistic in her abilites, she decided to stand on gaurd. Besides, you shouldn't underestimate your match. Kimiko knew that well enough and Sora probably did too.

Sand Genin

His bow seemed to take her by surprise, almost as if she hadn’t quite been expecting him to do such a thing to someone he had just met. Intrigue and amusement crept across her face as she returned the gesture; long strands of light brown hair tumbling over her shoulders as she inclined her head to the ground. Sora fingered the holster at his waist as if to pull out a kunai but it was his opponent that made the first move. She straightened herself up and hopped back in the same quick movement; hiding her arms behind her waist as she made a gentle arch through the air. Instead of taking out a kunai or shurikein – as would be expected – she made a slight movement behind her back and her image split in two so that she was standing next to her own clone. Sora wasn’t too worried; he’d been reminded a thousand times at school that a single hit to the second image would get rid of it in a matter of seconds. Nothing to spend too much time fretting about when his opponent was about to attack. He watched with idle interest as her fingers formed the long strings of handsigns that would allow her to perform ninjutsu, and use it to attack him whilst he appeared off guard. Beneath his feet the earth rumbled with the force of something pushing through it… He made three swift jumps to his right as a series of tangled vines burst out of the ground; attempting to twist around his ankles and hold him – rooted to the spot and unable to defend himself– as Kimiko could do with him what she pleased. His fingers seemed to find their way into his holster of their own accord and pulled three kunai from the padded pocket. The first and second flew toward Kimiko and her clone. Whistling through the air as the third tore toward the vines, seconds away from shredding them into a hundred pieces of frail green that would fall useless to the ground. Sora himself skidded to a halt a few metres away from the plants; his breathing the slightest bit faster and his eyes wide and alert, with a fourth kunai gripped between his clenched teeth.

Leaf Chuunin

Kimiko and her clone let out a deep breath and jumped out of the way of the incoming kunai. They landed a few inches away and stuck to the earth. Sora's third kunai hit her vines, which she watch become shredded as they hit the ground. She had to admit she was impressed he didn't get caught by her vines, even in the slightest, for everyone usually didn't expect it. Her head tilted to the side as her and her twin examined him. No one had been hit yet. Sora skidded towards the right and brought up some light dust in the air. His chest rose slightly faster with every breath. They were both alert now as well as the crowd. Nothing too interesting had happen yet to cause any clapping or cheers. It was still silent. She noticed Sora holding a fourth kunai by the mouth. Holding a kunai by the mouth never seemed like a great idea to Kimiko, but she had done it before. Not to mention is usually didn't feel that nice against her teeth. Depending on the jutsu, she imagined that she could probably do four or five more. That seemed right seeing how she was usually good with her chakra control. One of them could be used to summon her scythe, Thorn, but she wasn't too sure. Her heart pounded harder and her lips pursed. Should she wait for him to make a move? Or should she attack again? She thought over it for a few seconds and began to start forming hand seals again, which her clone did as well. Within seconds of the doing the hand seals, Kimiko and her clone had multiple vines come out of they're wristbands, shooting straight for Sora. The real Kimiko's vines went to grasp the boy's pale wrists while the genjutsu's vines wrapped around his waist. The people in the large stadium would only see the vines trying to wrap around his wrists, but Sora would look down to see at least eleven vines swirling around his waist and wrists. To Kimiko, it looked like she had successfully tamed him. Her and her clone gave a swift tug in hopes it would sling Sora closer. It was rather random, but she decided she liked Sora as her opponent. Not because she thought she would win or anything like that, but he wasn't cocky and he had some manners. Kimiko just couldn't stand fighting against people that talked through out the whole battle or verbally abused or tried to share they're whole life story. That got tiring quick.

[Green... :3]

Both kunai missed their target, thudding into the soft earth a couple of inches behind the girl and her clone. Sora wasn’t too worried though, hurling the two weapons had been nothing more than a futile attempt to try and wound his opponent; in hindsight is was obvious that it wouldn’t have worked. A couple of feet in front of him Kimiko had begun another set of handsigns, and from what he could see it was going to be something similar to the last. He waited, his breathing beginning to get steadier and steadier as he managed to regain his composure. He concentrated his thoughts onto the battle, calculating his timing, his speed, his strength. In front of him the handsigns stopped. Multiple vines burst from the wrists of Kimiko and her clone. The plants moved faster then he would have thought possible and had twisted their way around his arms and waist before he even had time to draw breath. In front of him - amongst the tangle of vines surrounding her hands - a satisfied expression crept across Kimiko's face. So pleased that she had managed to catch him with such little effort that she and her clone gave a sharp tug in hopes of pulling him closer. To tell the truth Sora had been expecting something of the sort and - although she hadn't realised it - had managed to prepare himself within seconds of the thought crossing his mind. Wrenching his right hand upwards he tilted his head to the side and slipped the kunai he had been holding in his mouth between his skin and the tightened vine. The stems were thick and it took three shakes of the head to slice through and free his hand. With his free hand he took the kunai from his teeth and slashed through the vines that were still wrapped around his left arm, releasing it too from the grip of Kimiko's plants. Both wrists were bleeding from shallow wounds from where the kunai had pressed into his skin but there was little pain to speak of. What small amount of pain there was shot through his arms and straight into his brain, in a couple of seconds Kimiko’s illusion was gone and Sora had fallen forward onto the ground, stumbling forward on his feet. Still holding the kunai in his limp fingers, he started to run in the direction of his opponent. The distance was little more than three metres and with his sudden burst of speed he crossed it in a matter of seconds, coming face to face with Kimiko in no time at all. In the brief, surprised pause that seemed to follow he fastened his grip and slashed at her shoulder with his kunai, hoping – with some regret – to wound her at long last.

Leaf Chuunin

[Yeah, I like green too! :3 ]

Kimiko seethed with her teeth somewhat clenched as she realized what he was doing with the kunai. She went to pull him in an attempt to cease him from cutting the vines, but it was too late and he had already been able to cut through them. At least he had some small damage, but that also made the clone vanish. The fact she didn't get much use out of her genjutsu irritated her, but she relaxed her jaw and kept her composure. She watched him stumble and took the chance to slink into her pouch on her hip, taking out the sharp kunai. More dust kicked up into the air as the sun shined brighter. The temperature was getting hotter as well as the battle. Before she knew it, Sora was dashing towards her with the kunai he used to destroy her precious vines. His pale face was face to face with her own pale face. Kimiko did her best to raise her own kunai in defence. Within seconds, she could feel the warm blood trickle down. Raising her kunai eased the damage Sora could have done but it still hurt. That was going to leave a scar on her smooth skin that hadn't been to badly damaged until now. Not that beauty was too important to Kimiko. An odd sound escaped the kunoichi's lips. A sound that came out almost as a growl and a grunt. With pain and a small amount of anger shooting up in her, she let out a short breath and slashed at Sora's chest with her own kunai. Sora was invading Kimiko's personal space. She wanted him to back up. Taijutsu wasn't her specialty but she could throw a few good punches and kicks. After slashing his chest, only a few peaceful seconds passed until her right knee raised and striked him in the stomach. That should have down something, right? As her right leg eased back to the ground, more dust kicked up, and the crowd gasped in impatience to see what would happen. Kimiko regained her balance but did her best to keep her gaze locked onto Sora.

The kunoichi's chest rose up and down, panting quietly. Her fingers twitched in anticipation. For the first time meeting Sora, she opened her mouth to talk. It would be the first time he would hear her usually soft voice. "Whats going to happen now, Sora?" She questioned for no real good reason. Her breath attempted to find a pace and her hunger for a fight was still pretty strong. In a surprisigly quick amount of time, she summoned her scythe, Thorn, and held it pointing towards Sora. She would finally be able to use it.

Sand Genin

[Sorry for the short post, I have Science homework]

This time the kunai didn’t miss. Instead it slashed through Kimiko’s clothes and through her shoulder with only the slightest of resistance. Sora was sorry to have scarred her pale skin, but he had to injure her if he wanted to be victorious. Shock filled her eyes as she growled and tried to slice across Sora’s chest with her kunai. He just about managed to block it using his own weapon, but it had already drawn blood and it was enough to make him spring away, seconds before Kimiko’s knee almost caught him in the stomach. Landing a couple of feet from his original position, Sora noticed her take a minuscule scroll from her breast pocket and wipe her blood across the tiny surface. Moments later a small scythe appeared beside her and she plucked it from the air, fixing her amethyst eyes on her opponent;
‘ What’s going to happen now, Sora?’
‘ I don’t know’ he replied, smiling at her ‘ But someone’s going to get hurt’. The wound on her shoulder was bleeding freely, as was the wound on his chest. Sora waited for his opponent to make the first move, staring at her newly summoned scythe; there was nothing overly amazing about it, but the blade looked viscous and Sora knew better than to underestimate and armed opponent. A few moments passed and it became evident that Sora wasn’t going to make any sort of attack, he was just waiting for Kimiko to do so. It was easier for him to see what she would do before launching himself at her like last time.

Leaf Chuunin

[Its okay, I don't mind too much. My post this time was somewhat short too...]

They both had cut eachother. Though, they're cuts weren't bleeding that much, it was still both irritating and painful. The faint metallic smell blood usually gave off couldn't be found in the air yet. Not enough blood had been spilled, which was probably what the crowd wanted. A whole stadium was filled just to watch fights between genin in hopes that they would become chuunin. That didn't seem exactly all the great to Kimiko but if that was what the people wanted...

She watched intently as he jumped away from her. He had barely gotten hit by her knee. She slinked her kunai back into her hip pouch, never taking her eyes off of Sora. He finally said something and gave Kimiko a smile. Her expression soften in the slighest bit and she let out a short small giggle. Well, of course someone was going to get hurt! It was the chuunin exams after all! The crowd was still anxious and wanted to see more. Her gaze continued to lock onto his and went back to a expressionless stare. His gaze was locked onto hers and occasionally Thorn. Only a few moments passed by until Kimiko registered that Sora would not be making any move until she did. Her fingers lightly drummed over the handle of her scythe. She couldn't wait to use it against some one. Until now, Kimiko had only gotten to use it against some of her clones. The light reflected off of Thorn and its ridgid blade, gleaming proudly as if it had a mind of its own. She moved the scythe infront of her body. Her hands clasped together, despite the scythe in the way, and began to preform a string of handseals. After this jutsu she concluded that she would focus most of her effort into Thorn. It would give her chakra a break. She moved her hands as fast as she could and flickered off with a small amount of dust kicked up in the spot she had been in. Just like that, Kimiko reappeared behind Sora within seconds and striked his back with her scythe. She thought for sure she was fast enough. Without even giving another moments though about it, she swung Thorn another three times, aim still on Sora's back. The crowd let out a series of gasps as they stared at the duo, hungry to see the results.

[Really bad post... again, homework. Luckily it's the last piece]

Despite himself, Sora coudn't help from smiling as Kimiko let out a small giggle. It was cute considering the situation. What? bleeding and threatening him with a scythe that she no doubt intended to use? It was amazing that she could still laugh. Most people would just stare him down and attempt to itimidate him before cutting him to pieces. Not giggle...

Sora waited for her to realise that she would have to move before she did. Fortunatly she was quick to register his hesitance and she clasped her hands together ready for more handsigns. This time they were brief and at first it seemed as though nothing would happen... but then she was gone, vanished into thin air. It took Sora only a few seconds to work it out and he spun round almost immediantly, barely dodging a ferocious swing that would have opened up his back had he not reacted so fast. The blade whistled frighteningly close to his head. Missing by only the smallest of distances. Kimiko swung again; three times to be precise. Not one strike hit its target, instead they just whistled past, further and further away each time. Sora landed a few feet away, pulled three kunai from his pouch and - smiling at his opponent - flung them at her legs and arms. If they hit they would slow down her movement at the very least, giving him a fairly big advantage. But that was only if they hit. Sora watched, not really expecting his attack to work. He was sure Kimiko would dodge it, so far she'd done well and although he hadn't fought anyone in the first round he thought of her as one of the best people he'd ever fought - but then again she was the only one he had ever fought...

Leaf Chuunin

[Good luck on your homework then.]

To tell the truth, Kimiko was starting to get tired in the slightest bit. She still had some juice to run on and could continue to put up a good fight, but because of her - 'special gift' - as her mother stated, which Kimiko had to agree it was rather cool and useful, she would tire out a little more quicker. This special gift was that she was completely immune to poison. Actually, she wasn't sure it blocked off all poisons, just most of the poisons she had come in to contact with. It was her own fault for having it. Yes, Kimiko remembered it as if it were yesterday. She just had to have snuck into her parent's lab, didn't she? Thats when she saw that pretty vial and tripped over herself and spelt it all over her and into her body. The down side? She lost some of her strength. This used to irritate her, but she delt with it, and actually did pretty well. Sometime she even forgot about the drawback until it came back to bite her. None the less, she had enough energy left and she was determined.

Thorn whistled past Sora, almost tearing up his back and then becoming dangerously close to his head. Was he trying to get himself killed because Thorn could caught off some body parts. She honestly wasn't intending on killing him, well, didn't even really want to either. She just wished he would get hurt. Her other swings at Sora missed; he jumped back and threw three kunai in hopes to hit her. Two of them flew passed her, but one cut her hip in the tiniest bit. Infact - blood didn't even trickle down, just bubbled up and at there as if it were a scab. Her fingers twitched while grapsing Thorn and she let out a short sigh. Kimiko ignored the fresh new cut and charged Sora full on. The familiar whistling came back as she swished Thorn at the sand genin's body. She was mostly aiming for his chest or stomach, then occasionally his arms and legs. Kimiko wasn't blood thristy or cruel enough to attempt to strike as his throat or pale face. She couldn't even imagine how much that would have hurt. Some people began to cheer while others gasped. The battle was finally picking up it's pace.

Considering the match didn't finish in time, I had to delay the chuunin exams so you could finish. But it seems you couldn't finish the match in time for the delay either.

So I unfortunately have to make a decision of the winner of the match and the person who will be continuing onto the next match.

Considering you both didn't get as far as some of the others the decision was harder, but I have come to my decision after reading through your match.
