| it's actually some images ripped off of google, and you have to use a lot of salt, it makes it look better :) | |

| It takes a lot of skill to actually copy something, and repaint it on a wall. And the salt is used for the pain to look a bit more...real. Right? I tried painting something, and used some salt to make the picture stand out more? | |

| .. you've never painted with salt? salt makes the image pop out, etc, look real. it also makes the image look 3-D, and since you're painting on a wall, it brings the effects it'll have on paper to the wall, and it's like a turn of the head, since it's not .. flat on the desk.
don't use watercolour paint, unless you want that drippy effect. i use acrylic paint, and it's a matter of skill-and-speed, as you put the paint on the wall, you have to almost throw the salt onto that specific part you want.. accented, before it dries. i duno bout your walls, but on my walls, the paint dried pretty quickly and the salt fell off quickly.
and no, a 2 year old can re-paint something he sees. it's not a matter of memorization, since you have the image in front. you draw the outline for it, then you paint it. it's not rocket science. you get the hang of waht to paint, then you start interpreting other images. questions? | |

| That is truely amazing work, and you are right. We can normally copy what we see and draw/paint it. In fact, that is the only form of painting in which I have any skill at all. However, it takes more skill to be able to add our own touch, to put ourselves into it, if you will. And even more to completely grasp the colors, their positions, vibrancy, and the perspective of what it is we are imitating ^_^ | |
