As the sun gleamed down threw the clear window above the crimson bed which Sumi stood by, it gave it a neon color due to the dust which resided threw its threads. The big wooden bed with red sheets and pillows whistled into the capacious room as the immense western breeze swayed its way threw the window. The breeze, carrying dust in its path, found its way into Sumi’s bedroom and threw the red curtains. Learning over the bed, Sumi’s stomach brushed against the wooden ledges as he gently closed the open glass windows. The slamming noise appeared louder then expected, and shook the glass on the desk in the corner of his room. Withdrawing from the window he stood up straight and wrapped his muscular tanned arms around his head. Closing his eyes, he walked to his closet to retrieve his uniform for duty.
Its been months since Sumi has served the Kazekage. The mere thought of being hospitalized for so long left a dreadful feel in his body which couldn’t be shaken off. After the accident with the Snow Village refugees, the battle almost killed Sumi if not for his superior medical techniques. But nevertheless he was rescued and brought back to the village where his injuries was beyond that of healing. Now, being fully recovered and ready to serve the village once again, he stands before his uniform and looks at it with pride.
Running his fingers threw the sleeves of his jacket a small tear shimmered down his right cheek as he smiled faintly. “
Its been a long time, wonder what the village has been up to since I've been a vegetable.” He said deplorably as he took the suite off the hook. “
Doesn’t matter I guess, I’m back in action!”
Walking down the husky wooden stairs and into the entrance room he stopped before he reached the door. Turning back and looking at his hospital gown which laid on the railing he sighed heavily as he thought of the nurse which came and visited him. Thinking that since this was his last day, the nurse would probably come a little later to wish him goodbye. But being in a hurry to leave Sumi thought he’ll leave her a note to wish her thanks for her help. Taking out a piece of paper and a pen he wrote a quick message and layed the thin brown paper on the step. Walking out the thick double doors a large group of people from the village stood outside cheering for Sumi. “
Sumi! We missed you!” The mob chanted as they ran towards Sumi. After a brief few moments of bear hugs he left the mob and walked to the Administration Building with a large smile.
~Sumi’s Letter to Nurse Ukah~
- Spoiler:
Dear Ukah
Thanks for everything you done for me, one of the reasons why I’m standing here today is because of you. From the time I came back to the village covered in blood, till right now where I go on duty, you’ve been there. I’m solely in your depth and the time we spent with each other will be one of my best memories. I’m sorry that you couldn’t see me go, but I’ll see you later on.
Love, Sumi Sensei
