| The rock smashed, caused by the ninja attacking the young girl. Kohaku had easily found an opening and taken it. Two other ran in from opposite directions, concluding three ninja altogether, minus Kohaku, who waited for the attacks to come from each side, standing still, her arms not raised in the least in a defensive motion. The vests on her opponents signified that they were all jounin rank. Just as the two attacks came in, Kohaku jumped up, into the air, and threw a single kunai, a string tied to it, at the ninja on her left side, while throwing the bear wire at the other ninja. Still in the air, now up side down, she raised one hand to her face, and stuck up her pointer and middle finger, the others in a fist, causing the kunai to explode into lightening as it hit the left attacker, and channel through the wire which had caught on to the others wrist. She made it look easy.
All the sudden there was the first ninja behind her, having used the body flicker. Kohaku noticed, but did not look scared, not even when the ninja drew a sword and raised it above his head in an attacking way. In a second, Kohaku had landed, as did the other ninja, his sword blazing in her direction, from behind her. Kohaku closed her eyes and easily side stepped the attack, allowing the sword to reach a hard surface, but not her. It slammed against the ground, followed by Kohaku's foot, shattering the sword quickly. Within the same second, Kohaku had struck him three times in the chest and arms, her back still turned. He looked stunned, then fell over.
Hurt but still able to battle, the electrocuted ninja stood back up, each also drawing a sword. Kohaku smiled once more before the two were on her, swinging their swords in perfect harmony with each other. Kohaku herself took out two katanas, holding them backwards. As the blades came into contact Kohaku started to blur, her image lasting longer than it was supposed to... then she was gone, her image still there.
Three short seconds passed before she came flying at the two from the sky, her swords like wings beside her. Just as her swords came into range, she flipped around and spun around smashing her foot into the others jaws, and sending them sprawled onto the ground. Without wasting another second, Kohaku threw the swords in between the legs of the sprawled ninja, right before the crotch, allowing her to claim victory.

| Paks slipped through the streets of Sunagakure garnet eyes focused on the sky, or more importantly, the rooftops. While the buildings in Suna tended to be round, almost like upside down pots, there were plenty of buildings with flat roofs, and some of the curved rooftops were at such an angle that one could traverse over them too. Casting one last glance towards the group of people surging through the street, she made her decision. Bending her knees, she leapt into the air and landed lightly atop a nearby roof. The tiles clicked beneath her shoes, but no one paused to look up.
Now that she could travel unimpeded by the normal bustle of people in the streets, Paks glided across the rooftops, careful to keep herself out of sight from a cursory glance. She focused a modicum of chakra to the soles of her shoes, in order to ensure that she would stick to even the most slanted surface. Not that she believed she really needed the chakra to keep her balance, she was quick enough that even if she landed on a vertical incline she could leap away before slipping and loosing any ground. But still, it would be unacceptable to find herself wrong and fall to the ground.
Allowing her body to work on autopilot, she had traveled over the rooftops of Suna enough times that she needn't put much thought into it, Paks strained her senses outward. She still had yet to receive word from her Sensei, much to her chagrin. She hadn't even met her teammate, which was really the least that she should have achieved. But no word had been sent, and she had no idea who this illusive teammate was.
She had no real purpose right now, no missions to prepare for, and no directed training either. Her Father was too busy to do anything in that area, and she wasn't about to bother him. But still, she felt like she was wasting precious time. There was very little she could do on her own after all, and while she tried to train by herself, at her level she did not get very far. Even if she was determined, and she had a goal in mind, she just couldn't engender the knowledge into her mind. Although she did try, and trial and error seemed to work for the simpler things. Which was a small blessing that she fully appreciated.
As it was, her days grew longer and longer with nothing to do. And she found herself roaming the Village so as to escape her empty room. A heavy thud, the familiar sound of a body hitting something, reached her ears, pulling her from her errant thoughts. Tensing slightly, Paks sped up, her instincts urging her forward. Fights were common in Sunagakure, and mostly harmless, but there was no reason to be sloppy and she had an obligation to check such things out.
She came to a stop on the nearest rooftop, glancing down at the battlefield below her. Four shinobi, three laying flat on the ground while the fourth stood over them victoriously. Her keen eyes immediately picked up the fact that the girl was young, although the flak vests on all four shinobi marked them as Jounin. The angle at which the bodies were laying prevented Paks from getting a clear glance at their hitai-ate, although she could see that the girl was from Suna.
It appeared as if the three had attacked her, and even a Jounin should be pressed by three opponents of equal rank theoretically. Paks wasn't about to assume anything about the kunoichi's strength based on her age, because she herself knew about such things. In any event, she should make sure that nothing serious was going on, and ensure that the Jounin was alright.
Just to be cautious, she reached into her ninja pouch and gripped a slim senbon, hiding it in her palm. Leaping lightly off the rooftop, she landed a few feet away from the kunoichi. Far enough not to be threatening. "Jounin-san, is everything alright?" she intoned solemnly, her voice a serious monotone while she focused half of her attention on the older girl and the other half on their surroundings, having no idea what the situation was and if anyone else was about to attack. At the moment she would have to forgo politeness as bowing now would leave herself far too open for a few seconds, something she wasn't sure she could afford.

| The ninja shifted uneasily as the swords were thrown into the ground, almost at their male weak point. Without sounding her voice, Kohaku twitched her fingers, causing the swords to fly back to her hands, before she stuck them gracefully in their sheaths on her back side. No sooner had she turned to walk away then she was confronted by a young female, sun glinting off of a senbon which she clumsily held in her palm. She looked to be about 10 or 11 at most, and therefor could be nothing more or less than genin, what with the hitai-ate she wore.
"Jounin-san, is everything alright?" She asked, her voice confirming her young age. Kohaku did not know how to answer to a young genin trying to stand up to her. She thought it was cute, but did not find anything intimidating about her. After all, three jounin ninja lay behind her, paralized from fear to move. Was this genin serious about what she was doing? Did she draw a weapon on her superior? She thought it annoying, but also was glad that there was such a diligent genin ninja.
"Everything is fine here. Some boys just thought they were unmatched by female shinobi. I hope its ok with you?" Kohaku said in a lightly mocking way, joking, and not mean in any way, supported with a soft smile.
The sun was setting in the sky, causing the sky to explode into a complete array of colors, ranging from deep red to purple and green. It was still hot however, and Kohaku hated the dry heat, which ate at her endurance constantly. "if you don't mind me asking, how old are you?." This young inspiration made her think of herself when she was young, determined to show herself to the world, and devoted to justice. Only, when she was this age about, she was already jounin, or special jounin. Even so, to have graduated at a young age, this ninja female should have some sort of talent, possible even a kekkei genkei? It would gave made since. Even though she held it clumsily, it was a hard thing to master the senbon as a weapon, as it took extreme accuracy and precision to use one, maybe a weapon specialist? Who knows?
A cool wind blew by, taking Kohaku's hair with it, allowing it to sway freely. It did the same to the genin girl...

| Paks cast a cutting glance towards the downed Jounin, but they didn't look like they were about to be getting up anytime soon. Her eyes quickly flicked towards the two slim katana that floated into the air towards their owner. She was pretty sure the kunoichi had only been defending herself against attackers, but Paks refused to let her guard down. Appearances were often deceiving.
"Everything is fine here. Some boys just thought they were unmatched by female shinobi. I hope its ok with you?"
Paks blinked slowly. Well then, it didn't appear as if this attack was anything serious. If these were enemy shinobi, or if there was an impending threat, the other kunoichi wouldn't be so casual. Or so Paks thought. Which meant that it was very likely the situation was safe, and that she did not have to keep her guard up. Even so, Paks felt wrong simply turning her back to their surroundings to engage in conversation so she held herself aware but focused mainly on the Jounin as was respectful.
"Why would your actions be held to my opinions Jounin-san?" she queried seriously, carefully keeping her face blank and successfully keeping the puzzlement from her voice. She truly did not understand what the older kunoichi was leading towards. Why would she ask if her actions were alright with Paks? She was only a Genin, and this girl was her superior. Even if her actions weren't alright with Paks, she would never have the right to say so. Protocol dictated such, and it was forbidden to deviate from protocol. So why would she even ask such a thing?
"If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?"
Paks inclined her head respectfully, dark purple tresses cascading over her shoulders to obscure her eyes until she straightened. "I have just turned ten Jounin-san," she intoned softly, again succeeding in keeping her tone level and without emotion. While Paks was skilled at maintaining her composure, her emotions still flitted through her head unchecked. Confusion marred her thoughts until they formed more questions than distinct sentences. She tried to ignore such frivolous things.
Paks managed not to shift her weight, feeling almost as if she was on display at the moment. A surge of self-consciousness was ruthlessly tamped down on as she shoved the weak emotion far far away. It had no place within her body, and she would not stand for such things. She felt the cool metal of her familiar weapon in her palm, and the habitual sensation soothed her. She had no idea where this situation would lead to, but she trusted in her skills. Were anything to happen, she would try her hardest and that was that. There was no use worrying over such things, because her thoughts only distracted her from the current reality.
Keeping silent, she waited to see what the older girl's response would be. It was not her place to speak, and even if it had been she couldn't find any words which wanted to be spoken. The Jounin seemed odd enough though that she tried to expect any response. So long as she followed protocol, she should be able to handle even unconventional inquiries from the kunoichi.

| [sorry its so short I had to go]
"Why would your actions be held to my opinions Jounin-san?"
Apparently the young girl had not caught the mocking and joking tone in her voice when she asked. But she decided to indulge the girl in something she believed in very strongly. This girl was to concentrated on protocol, Kohaku could tell. She still held her guard up to her though, showing nothing but distrust, and thus, disrespect.
"Why would I not respect your decision. Why would i treat you any less different than any other ninja? You are shinobi just like me, just like the Kazekage. I don't believe in self restraining, it only holds the victim back from filling out their max potential. I was jounin at twelve, and i was treated just as respectfully as any other. Who knows, one day, you could become one of the worlds greatest kunoichi, and then I would have talked to you with respect." Kohaku prided herself with her simple logic, and loved to share her beliefs with every one else who could use them to their advantage.
She knew that this ninja was something more than others. She had self confidence, which was vital, and she seemed to believe in herself. She was like a little Kohaku. It intrigued her. She would be the perfect genin for Kohaku to take. She did not want to train more than one genin any way. And from the look of her, she was smart, and well proportioned in the way of a shinobi, and what Kohaku like the most is that she knew she could teach her to become great! Although, if she were single, it would be tough in the chuunin exams - alone.
That did not mater now. "You. What's you name."

| OOC - That's fine, this one could do with another paragraph or so, so we're even. ^^)
Who knows, one day, you could become one of the worlds greatest kunoichi, and then I would have talked to you with respect."
Paks nodded, but kept her mouth shut. She was not quite sure why this Jounin was saying such things, and she didn't really understand, but she seemed so adamant, that Paks could not refute her. Even as her own logic said the exact opposite, and that it was only through restraint that one became truly skilled. For one must master their selves as well as their bodies in order to ensure optimal outcomes.
And part of that was holding to the rules and regulations that dictated the shinobi world. To be humble towards one of higher rank was not a bad thing, it showed respect for one who had reached such a high pinnacle. To be respectful to one of lower rank was not a bad thing either, but to act as if they were equal made no sense however she tried to think about it. They weren't, and they couldn't be. There were reasons that Shinobi were divided up into ranks, there was a hierarchy that kept things flowing smoothly. To disrupt that chain of command could only result in something bad. An inharmonious outcome.
"You. What's you name."
Paks glanced up at the direct question. Deeming that enough time had passed by now that she could allow herself small risks. And so she dipped into a bow, before rising and replying calmly and with no small amount of pride, "I am named Kuchinawa Paksennarion Jounin-san." She was proud of her Clan, and she was proud to bear the name Kuchinawa and the burden that came with it. Even now she was conscious of her blood coursing through her veins, an intensely visceral awareness. Whatever others may think of her Clan, she knew the truth. And such knowledge buoyed her forward. Besides, it was irrelevant what other people thought about the Kuchinawa Clan, their opinions on such things mattered not.
The sun was working its way downward, slowly absconding the sky and leaving the desert suddenly chill and dark. A few rays remained peaking over the horizon, turning the air into a haze of twilight. Faint enough to not truly be considered light out anymore, but the time was slowly slipping away off into the quickly approaching night. Paks was glad that she had found something today. Even with this Jounin's odd questions and sentiments, this was wholeheartedly much better than simply leaping from rooftop to rooftop around Sunagakure.

| Kohaku smiled at the genin as she figured out that she was still only ten, and would not be able to clearly translate her words. Even if she explained it more, she could not be sure to instill in the genin the confidence needed to pass her own expectations by leaping bounds. Allowing her open palm to clump into a practiced, and knowing fist, Kohaku let her annoyance out. Just like her. Once she had believed in restraining herself, but had gotten no where, not until she stopped. The hierarchy the shinobi world was set up in was a monarchy - higher ranks on top of lower. Kohaku knew and respected this, but what she was trying to portray was the fact that she had just as much respect for this girl as any other jounin ninja doing his or her job.
She figured it was because of her relationship to the sand village, and the way they went about things with her clan. She had been made fun of until she rebelled against the system and became more powerful than any of the other genin. her clan had been slayed by this village, and she would never forget it, and now they made Kohaku an ambassador of the clan, living outside the sand village, and suna, working as a jounin where she did not belong. Even so, she had chosen to come and stay here, but being in this village was grating her self morals. When she was the Kazekage's aid, she felt that she could help people, but now, she was nothing more than a known and respected jounin of the sand. It had a nice title, but nothing that she wanted. they were threatening her to take on three genin and train them, when the genin would only be two years younger than her.
"I am named Kuchinawa Paksennarion Jounin-san."
Kohaku's eye brow raised, the genin girl carried her name with pride. It was wonderful to hear her seem confidant and unmatched in some area. It was so much like herself. Kohaku had always noted in her voice the importance of her clan, and sang it with pride when ever she was stating her name.
Kohaku's foot dug into the ground. She wanted to get back home, but do it without being mean to the genin girl, Paks. The silence between them grew awkward and long. Kohaku glanced back as the jounin started to move again. The one she had hit with the medical ninjutsu must have a tolerance against sch matters. The technique should have lasted for a good other thirty minutes. But she had not given it her all in the least.
Stumbling to his feet, the jounins head band fell to the ground, a slit across his forehead given to him by Kohaku, as was the challenge. He looked embarrassed at being beaten so easily. Putting his hands together and showing respect to her even though he was older and bowed, trying to leave. The others stumbled in the same way, there face all containing droplets of blood, coming from the individual slits on there foreheads given by the girl.
Ignoring them completely, Kohaku re shifted her focus towards the young girl. "See what one can accomplish if they break free of restraints?" Kohaku desperately wanted to see this girl in action, and test morals, seeing which ever one worked. She wondered who had accomplished more for their age. Without being cocky, Kohaku agreed with her own morals. She wondered about this genin. Who was she really.

| Paks shifted slightly, watching the Jounin from the corner of her eyes as they began to stir. It seemed that the kunoichi hadn't knocked them out totally, that or they had recovered quickly. She felt her shoulders tighten, fingers clenching minutely as the unknown variables got to their feet. Her tension was eased when they took their injuries with grace and bowed respectfully towards the kunoichi. It had just been a spar then, not an intense fight as Paks had feared. She was glad that these weren't enemy shinobi, and that this had been nothing more than a petty contest of skill.
Limping, the three shinobi stumbled away from the scene. They would probably reconsider their preconceptions in the future, and Paks found herself sizing the three of them up before glancing back at the kunoichi standing a few feet away from her. She had beaten all three of them, and seemingly without any effort. Awe filled her head as she watched the defeated Jounin slink away, able to tell from the way that they moved that they were no unskilled louts to be beaten by an unskilled opponent. Paks didn't normally feel amazed by anyone's skill, excluding the adults in her Clan. It was not uncommon for her to respect another's prowess, but to feel truly impressed was a whole other matter.
Filing her reaction away so that she could assess it at a later date, Paks waited until the Jounin slipped out of her field of vision before focusing fully back on the kunoichi. It seemed that she too had been deep in thought, and the silence dragged on. Paks had never minded silence, it was a constant companion throughout her days, and she had never really experienced what could be called an awkward silence. Mostly because she could appreciate pauses in conversation as times to put her thoughts in order and to take advantage of such openings.
The silence was broken soon enough though when the Jounin spoke up again, "See what one can accomplish if they break free of restraints?"
Paks flicked her eyes back towards where the girl's subjugated opponents had been only moments before. Was she referring to her own skill based on a lack of personal self-restraint? If she could achieve such skill without being self-disciplined, that was surely amazing. Paks wondered idly what this girl would be like if she did hold herself to moderation.
Unsure of weather or not her question had been rhetorical or not, Paks nodded solemnly. She did see what the Jounin could achieve being free of restraints, but perhaps not in the manner that she had wanted Paks to understand. This was simply something that her mind was unable to compute, a concept so foreign to her integral upbringing that she couldn't even begin to understand it. "Hai Jounin-san."
OOC - Aaah, sorry. That was a bad post. I rushed it. XP

| It was now certain. The young girl could not understand her words. It was like a different dialect of shinobi. Kohaku had once put the needed restraints on herself to bring her power to a boiling point, but nothing after that. It was simple to her, one is a better fighter if they are not tangled in a rope - that simple. She guessed the girl's clan, the one she spoke with confidence was against letting oneself slip free of the hierarchy, slip from the system, like she had.
Not many ninja could slip from the system, not many would even if they could. It provided a sort of security blanket around the ninja in it, and allowed them to feel as if the system kept them sane. She did not blame any one for wanting that since of power, no matter how odd and weird it looked to her. It was what some chose. Most chose.
The light was becoming more and more dismal, turning constantly into a dark color. The sun and its light was no almost completely gone. It did not seem that late when the fight broke out, but then she guessed, she was not actually paying attention to the time when she was training. She did not pay any attention to anything when she was training, except the training itself, improving on weaker points, and further strengthening her strong ones.
She did love the night however, it gave her a since of power and energy. It was almost as if she was given another spiritual energy to feed her jutsu off of at night, like another chakra flame. Because of this, she had always loved doing, or completing, her missions over night. She also loved the night because the ferocious heat unclasped its jaws around her, and took time to breathe.
"Well little one, Paksennarion, I have to get home. It was nice meeting you. I hope your jounin knows he is up to a task taking you on as his or hers. try and fathom what I was trying to tell you." Kohaku wished the girl would say that she did not have a jounin, or that she wanted to train under her, but obviously this was not the case. It could not be. She would have to wait for another chance to see the girl, or to show her exactly what power was, introduce to her another stance in amazement. Not because she wanted to show off, but because she desperately wanted to show this girl what she meant.
Kohaku put one hand in a fist, and kept the other strait, and put them together, as if she was punching her other hand, and nodded her head as she turned to leave, not expecting anything more from this girl. Her logic probably startled her into not liking her, so it was time to bring it to a closing. The night seemed to follow Kohaku as she turned, becoming dark and gloomy, but at the same time fresh and wonderful. As Kohaku passed the stiff genin she put a hand on her shoulder and dropped her head and whispered, "Don't remember who you are. Your a shinobi, just like any one else here. And one day you be as respected as me."
Then she walked away into the night, swallowing her in enveloped darkness...

| "Well little one, Paksennarion, I have to get home. It was nice meeting you. I hope your jounin knows he is up to a task taking you on as his or hers. try and fathom what I was trying to tell you."
Paks nodded again, the same look of solemn seriousness refusing to abandon her face. "Hai Jounin-san," she bowed once more, "It was a pleasure to meet you." Still, she couldn't help but think that this accomplished kunoichi would make a much better Sensei than the one she had, seeing as he still had yet to surface. Should she go ask an aide at the Kazekage's Office about that? Was he missing or something? Surely if he was missing, she would have been reassigned but she had received no word of such a thing. And all she could do was wait. But if this dragged on much longer, she would do all she could to get her allocation changed. She could not stand to waste this time, not for some errant Jounin who refused to show up.
"Don't remember who you are. Your a shinobi, just like any one else here. And one day you be as respected as me."
Paks tensed suddenly as a hand was pressed against her shoulder, her eyes widening fractionally before quickly returning to her mask of normality. The kunoichi's words pierced through the surprise of her actions, and Paks stared at her as she walked off, unable to reply.
For several minutes she simply stood there, trying to understand the whirl of astonishment and shock that filled her head. When that seemed impossible, Paks simply thrust the wayward emotions away. If she couldn't reconcile with them, then they could disappear. Glancing up at the sky, she noted the time and quickly leapt towards the nearest roof. She needed to return home soon, it was getting rather late and they would be wondering where she had been.
