Name: Flash Weld Wire
Appearance: Flash weld wire looks like standard razor wire except for it's brassy color. It is made in spools that can be cut to desired lengths. Typically this wire would be woven throughout a metal chain.

Special Abilities: Flash Weld Wire serves one single purpose, when chakra is introduced to the wire it becomes hot and creates a weld on two touching metal surfaces near instantly. Thus, if a wire is braided through a chain and activated the chain will become fused together, creating a rigid apparatus that can serve to imprison a person entangled in the chain. Of note is that when attached to an explosive tag correctly, the tag can be used as an trigger for the wire, rerouting the chakra from the tag into the wire without setting off the explosive tag. In this way the user can use the wire even in thrown weapons or remotely. Other applications include welding door hinges closed and other such ill-intended mischief.
Origin: The Ishikawa clan is no stranger to metallurgy. Knowing metal and how it is fused together the clan invented Flash Weld Wire to be used for quick tack welding. The wire simply is a chakra sensitive electrode wrapped in flux. With a small bit of chakra as the power supply the electrode heats, thus creating a weld. This became a very important too to the Ishikawa metal workers in creating various armors and weapons. Ken pilfered a roll of the wire one day and had the bright idea of using it to make soft weapons into hard metal prisons on the fly.
