Meltdown

After their wierd meeting, Rika walked through the village. She remembered the encounter vividly. She had met the genin while he was in the village hunting for somwhere to eat. He couldnt seem to find his way around and had asked her to help him out. Instead of going home, like she normally would have done, Rika decided to help him. She had led him through the large crowd that was in the street at the time, and got him to the Dango shop. Their sweet dumplings were the best around and Rika had turned and started to leave. The genin stopped her and asked her if she wanted to eat with him. Normally she would have told him she was busy and blew him off, but for some reason she went along with him and accepted the invitation. They had peacful conversation for a while and ate a good amount of sweet dumplings. After almost finishing eating, the genin had freaked out about somthing really minor and started crying and saying things that didnt make sense. Rika had no clue what was going on or what to do so she had just knocked him out. That was the easiest thing she could think to do and she executed it quickly. After she knocked him out, she couldnt just leave him there, so she had picked him up. After paying, she left the dango shop with him in her arms. She walked through the village slowly and got a few wierd looks from people in the village. This was deserved because she was holding a genin in her arms and carrying him through the village. She sped up and hurried to her home. Once reaching her home, she opened the door and walked through the first room. Her home was bare and dreary. She had taken most of her stuff out and gotten rid of it because it reminded her of her dead fiance. She reached the main living room and layed him down on the couch. She sat in a chair nearby and waited for him to wake up.

Hayate could not remember a thing. He was eating and then next thing you know he is on the ground balling his eyes out. His memory blanked out after that. He drearily opened his eyes, he couldn't tell where he was, or what had happened. He was scared and he felt alone, out of the corner of his eye he could see a person sitting on a couch. It looked like the woman he had just met, it looked like Rika. He couldn't tell anymore though, Hayate's mind was playing tricks on him in his depression and all he could see was a person sitting there with a smile on her face, with her hands covered in blood. Hayate slowly stood up, he stumbled a bit. He began to slowly walk over to what he though was his grandfather's killer. It was in fact Rika though, Hayate had no control over his body at this time. It was purely guided by emotions now. Hayate lurched forward dragging his feet in front of him slowly. It was truly a scary site, the boy looked possessed. He never took his eyes off of Rika, he drew closer and closer to her. He reached behind himself with his left hand and drew a kunai from his pack. He help it behind him hoping not to reveal it to Rika, he was around to feet from her when he began screaming. "WHY... WHY DID YOU DO IT... WHY DID YOU KILL HIM, HE WAS ALL I HAD IN THIS WORLD AND NOW HE'S GONE...." Hayate began to smile maniacally, he truly looked possessed at this point "I'LL KILL YOU!" he screamed out. He revealed the kunai from behind his back and dove towards Rika, stabbing viciously through the air as he came lunging at her. The kunai dug into he left leg and Hayate began to laugh hysterically, he was losing his mind and he could not stop himself.

Rika watched as the boy began to stir. He rolled over a couple times then slowly got up. She smiled and leaned up in her chair to him. He looked at her for a second and his eyes were dark and he looked like he was possessed. Rika didnt know what to make of this. What is wrong with him? she thought. Then she noticed. He was in a state of absolute dispair. Rational thought was gone from him, and he was likely not to regain his composure before seriously hurting somone. This idea made her think to herself and what she was like the night she had killed her fiance. He had betrayed her and she had done her duty, but it still left a huge hole in her heart. That night she didnt know what she was going to do to herself. She thought about suicide alot but never went through with that. She didnt have the guts. After a few days of this depression she had returned to the village and never acted the same again. He was the only contact she had kept up with and outside of anbu she didnt really know anyone so she had been in her own depression for a while. She knew the look in his eyes well, but it hit her all the same. These were the same eyes as hers were, evil and deranged. This frightened her, and stunned her for a few seconds.

While she was stunned Hayate, had gotten up and gotten within reach. He started screaming almost incoherently. "WHY... WHY DID YOU DO IT... WHY DID YOU KILL HIM, HE WAS ALL I HAD IN THIS WORLD AND NOW HE'S GONE...." Rika didnt know what memories he was deriving these halucinations from or who had been killed, but she couldnt move. He yelled again, "I'LL KILL YOU!" and jumped at Rika. She was still stunned and didnt move while he pulled a kunai and dug it as deep as it could go in her leg. The blade pierced her skin, cutting through the flesh, and finally lodging in the bone in her thigh. This pain snapped her out of her stupor and she jumped into the air. She quickly realized her leg was out of commision and she fell to the ground. She definently felt sorry for the kid, but she wasnt going to die here. She formed a handsign on the ground and rolled over, snapping her fingers. A giant wind tore through the house. The roof and some of the walls exploded sending dust and debris everywhere. Hayate wasnt hit by the attack due to the bad angle, but he was knocked outside and was in the street. Rika crawled on her hands to the top a mound of debris. She activated her mangekyo sharingan. Im sorry Hayate, but i wont let you do somthing like this and end up like me, hating your life. she thought and concentrated on his body. Her right eye started to bleed and black flames came out of nowhere. They raced to Hayate, and tried to envelope him. These mythic flames would devour and destroy everything that Rika focused her eye on, so she made sure to only focus on him. If these flames hit, it would be over for Hayate. He would burn to ash in seconds.

Description: Amaterasu, named for the Goddess of the Sun, is a Ninjutsu technique which uses the Mangekyou form of the Sharingan eye to create a powerful black fire. This jutsu is generated by the right Mangekyou eye. It has been said that anything within the Mangekyou's vision will burn to ash if consumed by the fire. The fire itself is said to burn for 7 days and 7 nights. Because of the amount of chakra needed to use the technique, it can only be used on a very limited basis daily. Though it is regarded as the strongest of Mangekyou's physical attacks, usage of the ability will degrade the eye further and lead the user to blindness.

Hayate was blown through the air and he landed on the ground with a thud. The actual landing did no damage to him, he had some minor scratches on him from falling debris. That was about it though, the wounds he carried were not of a physical sort but rather the mental type. How much emotional strain can a young child take? How much before they completely snap in two? Breaking and splintering from beneath the immense pressure that is a cruel life.Hayate just lay there unmoving, there was no pain, there was no sadness. There was nothing, Hayate was alone and no one would come to his aid. He had no friends here, no allies nothing. He was lost to the world, the child that was once known as Hayate Mitarashi was now gone, leaving nothing but an empty vessel in his place. He was Lost forever in the sorrows of his own mind. The body lay there empty and unwilling to defend itself, it wanted death, it welcomed it in and would thank it when the delivery was made. Black flames rushed towards the boy's body and in just a moment he was engulfed and devoured by them. The searing heat began to chip away at his skin. Melting it to the core. Hayate couldn't feel the pain for he had died long before the flames even touched him. His body was being destroyed and his spirit had already left. The visions dimmed and everything became dark. Life as he knew it, had stopped and everything he lived for died at that moment.

Rika watched as the black flames burned the poor genin to ashes. The flames were still forming, so she closed her eye, which was bleeding black blood profusly now. They looked like black tears running down one side of her face. The power of that attack took alot of chakra and Rika was also loosing alot of blood. The kunai was still in her leg and a large pool of blood had developed under her. Her sharingan faded out and she stuggled to clear the blackness that edged around her vision. She almost faded out, but she knew, if she did, that she might not get help in time. She crawled out of the debris of her home and yelled, " Someone! Im bleeding, please help!" She crawled into the middle of the street and the darkness started to get to her. In just a few seconds she faded into pitch black.
