An’barak stood atop a ledge, Overlooking his new…. Home of amegakure. The rain poured down on him, but bounced off his newly acquired Akatsuki robe. He had to admit, the black and red garment served far better than its former gray counterpart had. An enormous scroll, the scroll of Gul’dan, lay open at his feet, extending for nearly 15 feet, covered in ancient demonic writing. There was so much An’barak could learn from this… And he would have to start at the beginning. The first few lines talked about one of Guldan’s most famous genjutsu: his ability to amplify the pain an opponent felt many times over from any wound they incurred. It took less than a minute for An’barak to memorize the inner workings of the genjutsu, he had always had a great talent for learning new things such as this. All it required, what made this genjutsu particularly effective, was a glance into the opponents eyes. And from that point forward, it would be incredibly difficult to notice, until the opponent was dead. An’barak reread the description of how to perform the technique one final time, before deciding to test it. Weaving a series of handsigns, a dark portal opened behind him, through which came a single doomguard, an enormous behemoth of demonic orange color, thick muscle, but questionable intelligence. It stood ready, at attention, for any order An’barak might have for it. An’barak locked eyes with his target, letting his genjutsu take effect… This felguards reaction would determine if the jutsu had worked. An’barak slowly walked over to his summon, withdrawing a kunai, and cut a thick slash on the demons arm. The monster roared it pain, and shock, that such a minor wound could hurt so badly. It fell to its knees, its mouth agape, grasping at the somewhat small injury. “Interesting” An’barak said with a grin, before dismissing his summon.
