Marching Band

This is us last saturday at McQueen High School. We placed 5th out or our division, which is AA. We lost to Carson, Galena, Bella Vista(who beat everyone, even the AAAA bands, though theyre onyl a AA Band), and Reno lol. I think we did great except for the spacing issues. Some people didnt march on the beat, but as a band we did great, i think. We're working on Part 3 of Pirates before our next show(the 17th) so wish us luck ^^

PS The wind was terrible at the show, but from the field(or downwind), we sounded AMAZING! We're much better players then marchers, though we have quite a few good marchers.

Hey, are you guys WBA or SUSBOA? My band (Falcon Peagentry Corps) is WBA, mostly, yet everyone in our valley is SUSBOA (lol). I'll try getting up something from our first comp, when we have it.

I dont really no much about it only from seeing American Pie Band Camp haha. We dont really do this in our hemisphere. haha

First day of Band Camp, i got tonguing lessons from a senior(in a closet), leraned to 'hit it and quit it' and 'cut it off', and i came out of the closet. No joke O.O

We were learning how to march, and a BIG bug was flying around. (IT haunts our school. I'vee seen it about 5 times.) It flew towards the back where most of the freshmen girls were wispering, and then a loud "EEEEK!!!" came from them. The bug was flying around them! It was hilarious.

Band Camp isnt as fun as everyone palys it up to be. Wait, who am I kidding XD

But do you know taht dirty, insecure feeling about yourself you get after watching Rocky Horror Picture Show? Band does taht to us EVERYDAY! Band may be fun(hella fun), but the whole band is screwed up in the head big time, myself included(though im just a freshman and havnt been introduced to all the other bad things in band )

Hey! Trumpets are da bomb! In fact, they are the only reasons marching bands thrive!
(I play trumpet, so I may be slightly biased, but WHATEVER!)

But Band Camp for me would probably be a lot better if it wasn't a day-by-day at the school ghetto thing. But it still gets really funny sometimes.

Instead of having an actual camp, I just go to the school for two weeks every day from 8 to 8.
