The clans Kekkei Genkai Akaoujou is a advanced three tier bloodline, it is a old clan, but has been advanced throughout the ages, the bloodline itself though has several different tiers, some only capable of going to only level one tiers, while others to higher ones. In total there are three tiers, each tier gives additional abilities, but also gives disadvantages with them. Depending on the clan member and their parents the bloodline tier they reach will be different, everyone within the clan has at least the first tier at most situations, unless they are not fully of the clan, such as their mother is not of the clan, but their father is, those outside the clan are less likely to have the abilities as the clans genetic traits themselves are recessive compared to the rest of the human races genetics. The clan inbreeds and avoids marriage with non-Nichikurin clan members, those who do marry with people out of the clan are exiled, along with their children being incapable of having the bloodline for the majority of the time, those exiled with the ability and clan marking are allowed to keep their secrets and abilities and markings, but aren't allowed on clan grounds, but are given respect by the clan as to not attack them, unless the exile wasn't by their will, but because they had killed a clan member or something of the nature. The clan's Kekkei Genkai activates and advances accordingly to age, so one doesn't discover which tiers they have until the appropriate age arrives. The three abilities as well as being useful is also used by the clan to create a sort of social class order, in status and wealth, those with only the level one tier being the poorer, while the second being richer. It is rare for someone to have all three tiers and only a hand full have all of them. Most clan members are only gifted with the first tier. Second or third tiers are uncommon, but it happens from time to time for a member to have the second and first. One may get further Tiers without getting prior ones such as getting tier three, but not two. The tier three is quite rare and only a few within a century gain it. Clan members get the clan marking at the age of eighteen to signify they are indeed a member of the clan, also to signify the coming of age. The Tattoo must include a red panda, but may be original for each clan member, it has no special abilities, but merely is to mark them.

1st Tier


The first tier of the clans Kekkei Genkai is the most common and is discovered at the birth of the clan member, they gain the ability to transform biologically for the most part at will into a red panda. They retain their human mind and brain although it has been altered to fit within the body of a Red Panda and to work correctly for the body and such, when they transform due to the size being smaller and how the human brain is primarily large due to the expansion of the cortex, which has to do with forethought, so in transformation the user will lose some of their ability to think ahead. They don't gain any additional features in human form from Tier one, so clan members won't have animal ears, tails, etc. Although they may have a facial structure that is somewhat similar in shape or build of a red panda, although it'll be quite vague and basically look similar to a normal humans. All clan members naturally at this time receive the gift of highly advanced senses, their sense of smell, sight, hearing, taste and touch become extremely acute allowing them to basically gain the senses of their animal form, this is passively existing and is just a natural part of their body from birth. The ability of the clan also grants them the ability to telepathically communicate with other clan members, but only with clan members, they are unable to communicate with natural Red Pandas, nor with other animals, they have no animal instinct, and are basically just in a different physical form. They can talk in human speech while in their alternate form, they may also make the noises that a Red Panda would naturally make although they don't know exactly what each sound indicates, although they have some knowledge and can estimate to a somewhat accurate degree. When turning into Red Panda form users don't have their clothing transforming with them, so they usually just slip through, users usually try and carry less equipment and try keeping their clothing easily holdable and capable of being folded.

They usually have a small backpack within their normal set of clothing which after transforming is used to keep their clothing and things within, just slipping it onto themselves. Other users who have become skilled with summoning jutsus often just place their clothing within a summoning mark or scroll, the clan has also invented certain jewelry which shrinks with the user when transforming, where the user can keep a summoning mark on, or hollow to place small scrolls within. They have the climbing skills, hiding and hunting skills along with the other natural abilities of a red Panda in both forms, although they don't come naturally and requires the user to practice with the ability. While in animal form they still keep their human intelligence minus some forethinking, but their mentality and thoughts and desires/etc for the most part stay the same. The disadvantage of the clan members though is they are capable of transforming at will, but cannot transform back into their human form until a full 24 hours has passed since their transformation into a Panda, thus somewhat leaving them vulnerable. They are capable of performing jutsu in Panda form, but are limited to only jutsus that use simple hand signs, and are incapable of difficult/long stringed hand signs unless given much practice. They have a false thumb making it impossible for them to perform some difficult jutsu, but they can do ones utilizing short signs or no signs, they can try to use their false thumb for the handsigns requiring it, but it is difficult. They can still wield weapons/etc while in their form, although large weapons are a difficult matter with wielding. An additional ability of the first tier is their skill of seeing a trail of chakra when concentrating chakra into their eyes, It is only usable while in Panda form, thus they are able to see a clear trail of someone’s movement as long as that person being tracked had gone that way within the past two weeks.

There is a side-effect that arrives with receiving this ability at birth, most clan members are effected by this side-effect as well, since the majority of the clan holds this ability. This side-effect is genetic causing all members the inability to digest cellulose, they naturally can't do so while in Red Panda form, but all members in human form also cannot do so, a few can digest it, but almost no one can. This makes it so clan members that eat plants and vegetables have issues with digesting it, thus not gaining as many nutrients from them, if they eat vegetables they need to eat extremely large amounts to receive energy from them. Some members resort to meat as they can digest it readily, thus making many overweight clan members. Although it's difficult for them to digest plant materials, the majority of the clan still eats vegetables and fruit, making it a basic staple for their life, so within the clan there are either obese or muscular members, or skinny and slim members. Very rarely do you see otherwise. The majority is skinny and slim rather than obese and bulky. It's in a 8:2 ratio of the members who are skinny to fat. Funny enough the members of the clan that are skinny usually are less active and need to focus on sleeping and eating more than being active as to gain body fat to survive. The fat and muscular members usually with their main diet being meat need to exercise more often and don't need as much rest due to having a active supply of body fat on them. They are muscular or fat depending on how much activity they get, most older members who focus on meat end up gaining weight issues due to inactivity, younger members however tend to train and exercise a lot leading to muscular builds.

2nd Tier


The second tier of the Kekkei Genkai is a bit more rare and appears even more rarely in male clan members, mainly only females obtaining it due to the origins and how it has to do with the genetics of the male and female chromosomes. They get the ability arriving around the age of 19-23. It gives the user the ability of the Hitaizenme (Fire Calming Eyes). The Red Panda is at times referred to as the Fire fox, due to its flamboyant colorization, it has received many names in time, but the name Fire fox is what intrigued the maker into creating it. The clan itself has utilized the name to some literal meaning with this ability, even if the Red Panda is not of the vulpine family. The members in the clan with the ability are capable of touching fire with their hair/fur without getting burned or harmed when they have this activated, this is obviously more useful in their animal form. They are capable of also generating fire and manipulating it to some degree. They can also only manipulate it to the point where it's in a 5-foot radius around them, meaning it can only be manipulated if it's within five feet of them thus limiting them somewhat. They can manipulate it to whatever shape they wish as long as it remains in the five-foot radius, but also giving them the skill of concentrating the fire, making it a bit more useful. This Kekkei Genkai requires chakra to keep the eyes activated, but beyond that they may use it to whatever way they wish, not increasing in chakra or decreasing depending on how they use the eyes when activated. The fur/hair of the user somewhat works as a shield creating a small shield against thermal energy, keeping the user cool from the flames.

They cannot generate fire or manipulate it when their hair/fur is wet though, although they are still immune to the heat of fire. All these abilities are only active when the Hitaizenme are activated, these eyes if extracted from the user immediately lose their ability, thus making it an impossibility to gain the ability by stealing the eyes. The eyes themselves burn to ash if removed from the host’s body, thus not allowing them to be transferred. The disadvantages of the Kekkei Genkai for this tier is that the user will begin seeing hallucinations similar to those when in intense heats, they will become more and more intense the longer the ability is used, if used for a long period of time the user may begin to suffer brain damage as well, causing the user to possibly gain side-effects such as permanent or temporary paralysis, intelligence loss, memory loss, etc. The side effect comes from the activation of the eyes and will gradually get more intense as time passes, once deactivated though the user will return to their normal state, but will be slightly exhausted and incapable of using the eyes for the rest of the day, the exhaustion depends on how long it is used and may last longer along with the inability to use the ability.

This ability although is only limited to those given the second Tier power happens to have a genetic back up ability, a secondary recessive gene that appears in those who do not received it, it doesn't appear in all who don't get the second ability, but is more common that the actual second tier. So if a clan member was not to get the actual Hitaizenme, they have a chance of ending up with this back up ability. It is a naturally given ability that comes at the time of the actual second tier that allows the user to concentrate chakra within their mind and eyes to coordinate their movement and predictions through vision at a more synced level, along with increasing their abilities at prediction somewhat cancelling out the disadvantage arising from the turning into a panda, in human form it increases their abilities even further. This ability is a lesser somewhat side-effects of the Genetics if the actual Kekkei Genkai doesn't arrive, this it never appears if the user has the actual second tier ability. It is active, and requires constant chakra concentration, the user needs to place their chakra within the areas of necessity to use, thus it must be shut down and on like actual dojutsu eyes. When in use the users iris pigment turns red and looks somewhat feral, the side-effects that come with this are the user will be starving for food after the use, as the mental trigger in the brains signals gets somewhat confused for a few minutes after the user uses the eyes, due to the process of the user concentrating their chakra within their mind. The user will feel hungry whether or not they really are or are in need of food. This may be one reason as to why a vast majority of the male population suffers from weight issues. As most females don't received this ability with the actual tier two being obtained.

3rd Tier


The third and final tier of the Nichikurin clan is the reason the clan's Kekkei Genkai is called the Bloody Death, along with the clans name being the "red" bamboo. The final ability is extremely rare, but it is available to both female and male members of the clan, although only a few with the ability are born within a century. It arrives at the age of 50 on the member’s birthday at the time of their birth. Those with Tier three also develop Blood Red chakra along with the ability, this chakra if absorbed by someone other than Tier three members will cause extremely severe Hemophilia which cannot be treated medically, nor by medical jutsu. The wounds of the target can obviously be healed by a Medical-nin, but will cause them permanent issues of the Hemophilia so if a new wound is opened up they will continue to bleed again. These side-effects will continue to appear until the person who absorbed the chakra dies. The reason the third Tier users don't suffer from the side-effects is due to the fact that their body because of this Kekkei Genkai allows them to have counter-acting enzymes within their blood as well which basically gives them almost instant wound healing, along with holding back the blood itself, thus removing their Hemophilia. Members of the clan tier three ability will not age over the age of fifty basically due to the constant regeneration of dying/injured body tissue, it will cause them to not age and stay at the age of fifty, they cannot make themselves younger or old with this and it is merely passive within their body and cannot be decided by them. The body tissue includes organs, muscles, bones, etc. Only Males can receive this as it has some effects required with the X chromosomes of a male, the errorred version only appears in females though due to the missing genetic requirements.

This enzyme cannot be transferred to others as it will automatically reject them, the enzyme will actually appear in some members who have Tier Three parents, but themselves have not inherited the ability to the fullest. The enzyme when rejecting a host will immediately begin to multiply within the users bloodstream, but will not perform the actual purpose it was designed for. Instead they will go toward the heart of the person and cause dangerous convulsions and cardiac issues. They can be removed, but will re-multiply if not all are removed, causing the heart to again after a while begin these issues again. They will advance though within the person and become more dangerous each passing moment. Within users who had parents of third tier and were not artificially inserted with these will not receive these issues till the age of fifty as the normal Kekkei Genkai will go. Those who have parents, but received the trait of the third tier but are rejected will not have the issue of Hemophilia and their body will normally just produce normal chakra. The enzyme cannot be copied or altered and if attempted it has a genetic trigger within itself that causes it to appear working for a few seconds, but soon enough will self-destruct within the host, causing the blood vessels all over the host to burst, eventually leading to the hosts death, since they will have extreme internal bleeding.

The Hemophilia though caused by the actual Third Tiers that aren't rejected is extremely fatal. The Hemophilia is as noted Extremely severe, beyond ordinary genetic diseases, it is chakra induced so the user themselves is capable of touching someone and inserting their chakra, this chakra will infect the chakra reserves within the target, including infecting the streams and production areas of chakra. Thus causing their entire body to be infected, it can only be removed with the entire removal of the targets chakra, but that will end up leading to their death ultimately. So it cannot be removed without killing the user. This chakra cannot be artifically or forced to destruction and can only be removed. Although the moment it enters a host it will instantly in less than a millisecond infect the host. The Hemophilia caused is capable of turning a small cut or puncture to the users skin into a extremely large and dangerous wound, capable of killing the user in a couple minutes from blood loss. A major wound would most likely be catastrophic causing massive blood expelling, similar to a waterfall effect, killing the target in a matter of seconds. The wound will not heal unless repaired by a expert medical-nin or doctor, but the hemophilia itself will still exist. A small injury would be considered as a bite from a small animal, a medium or large paper cut, a injury from a senbon, etc. A large injury would be like a large animal bite, a sword slice, a cut on the leg, etc. A fatal injury which would basically cause instant death would be like a animal biting out ones throat, ripping out ones eye, getting a hand, or arm cut off, a huge gash, or several small or large wounds hitting the target, etc. The chakra is easily transferred by the users will when in contact with another organism, but can also be transferred by concentrating chakra into weapons, projectiles, etc and inserting it after contacting the opponent with the weapon. The Hemophilia also causes severe bruising as well, which is internal bleeding, causing even punches/etc to be fatal.

There is an additional ability of the enzyme which is both a disadvantageous side-effect, but also a somewhat useful ability. The enzyme is capable of mutating the cells around it, this is triggered by the user going into extreme amounts of stress, anger, sorrow, or other negative emotions. When this occurs the user will automatically trigger the enzymes to cause mutation within the body. It will rapidly create growth of the bodies cells, including bones, muscle, skin, etc. The growth goes in the form of a malformed beast, it is different for each Third Tier member depending on their personality, or could be for the individual situations where the stress arises. They appear as monsters basically, along with that their mental thought has been decreased somewhat drastically, causing a normal average intelligence person becoming to the mental level of a savage beast, while a intelligent individual would become somewhat in control of their actions, but driven by instinct somewhat and their rage. They gain in strength, speed, defenses, etc depending on the user and situation, the user themselves doesn't decide and the body naturally chooses, it is said that the body chooses depending on the users subconscious thoughts. The user will revert to their normal form once the thing causing the stress or anger is gone/removing the stress or anger, or by going unconcious. Dying will leave the user in the form they were last in. Side-effects created after reverting back to human/Red Panda form includes the user either gaining or losing weight depending on the form they transformed into, along with them automatically needing rest for several days, depending on how long they were transformed, (eg 1 day of use = 5 days rest) along with that the user will have painful heart attacks and convulsions for the days they are resting, they will most likely not kill the user, but just cause massive pain for those days, rendering them incapable of doing anything beyond resting and feeling the pain. Their body will also somewhat be in a shut downed status, their body is still working, but at a minimal status, making them using only the bare minimum in uses to survive, thus they don't need to eat, drink, and to some degree breathe. Once the period is over, they return to normal.

Name: Hitaizenme - Fire Calming Eyes

Description: This allows the user who is a second Tier Nichikurin clan member to be capable of generating fire of varying intensity and manipulating flames within the radius of 5 feet from the users body. It also gives the user's hair or fur immunity toward flames creating a thermal energy negating shield above the hair or fur that is not visible to the user or anyone else. The fire can be manipulated, intensified, concentrated and shaped to whatever the user wishes, those who are less skilled with the eyes cannot do as intense heats or do as complex shapes, or generate flames at the same speed or amount as those more skilled at using it. This is a useful ability, but causes problems for the user if overused, such as coma's, impaired vision, mental brain damage, permanent and temporary side-effects. This ability is rare within the clan itself, but is more of uncommon than rare. It is a rarity in male members, but is more common in females. These eyes cannot be stolen and will lose their ability once the user dies, but also will burn into ash if removed from the body of the original host.

Description: The user will be required to be a Nichikurin third tier member, they will at times of dire emotional explosions activate a genetic trigger within their body which will mutate their original ability to heal themselves and create additional or less body tissue in a mutated form forming a monstrous beast, depending on the member it will be different in form and shape, along with the given situation and the users reason for emotional outbreak. They will gain inhuman features and will for the most part be unable to think normally, relying on instincts and attacking with the body they have after the transformation has been activated, the transformation is almost instant changing the user from a human to a beast in a minute or seconds depending.

Description: This is a natural ability of those in the Nichikurin clan that allows the user to actually take on the biological form of a Red Panda, it is not an illusion and they actually turn into a Red Panda for the most part, they retain their mind and intelligence for the most part, losing some in the fact that the brain has been modified from a normal human brain to a smaller one capable of fitting within the body of a Red Panda and altered to work with the biological structure. In this form they can do several things that a human wouldn’t be capable of doing. Depending on how much the user practices and lives within the red panda form, they may be used to the alternate body form, or they may be quite bad at using their body correctly. Some have utilized it to the point where they can be more advantageous while in Red Panda form than in human, others can barely do much beyond walking, eating and breathing.

Description: This technique is the signature ability of the Nichikurin clan, capable of giving the user the ability to insert their chakra into someone and cause them Hemophilia at a fatal level. This ability has to do with the Third Tiers chakra and its ability to cause such issues within ones body. The users have immunity to the issue, although others that aren’t Third Tier happen to suffer it at fullest, dying from minor wounds that are made into large ones with this ability. The ability is quite advanced and cannot be copied. It is powerful, but also dangerous. Often the clan places them in isolation and uses them as weapons of destruction. The thing about this is it only activates once the user reaches the age of fifty, then it stays for the rest of their life, but only around a couple receive this ability successfully within a century making it even rare within the clan. They can place this addition within a jutsu that has to do with chakra conducting weaponry, or with taijutsu making it into a deadly jutsu immediately. The actual Hemophilia cannot be cured through medical jutsu or medication, the wounds that cause the bleeding though can be mended, but require a highly skilled Medical-nin to do.

There are several other techniques the clan can invent with their Kekkei Genkai abilities, but each individual member or family within the clan invents their own skills, using things for their own imaginations.
