The Ikimono Katagi is a clan based of basically animals. The ancestors of this clan have trained the air of the Animal, basically mastering basic animal traits. There are a lot of animal traits that this clan has mastered:

Katagi no Hokkyokuguma ~ Trait of the Polar Bear:

Physical Traits: The users skin will become paler, thus, whiter and the body could sustain very low temperatures, like normal polar bears can. Their resistance to strong physical attacks decrease by 50%, thus, the user will not feel as much physical pain, but the actual damage would be the same, yet more resistant. Their strength will also increase 50%, does inflicting the double of amount that a normal physical attack would inflict, but the drawback of this trait is that the user’s speed will decrease by 50%, thus being a huge target. The user’s teeth and nails will increase in size and sharpness, a bite/slice of the user’s teeth could be rather devastating. Though these fangs can also damage the user gravely, the fangs will also feed on chakra and blood, thus in a way, regenerating the user’s chakra.

Mental Traits: The user will also suffer from mental traits. The user will have the need for blood and flesh; this is why he will have a need to kill as soon as possible, this trait can drive the user insane if he/she does not get blood or flesh As soon as possible. This can be used as an advantage or disadvantage to the user.

Katagi no Tora ~ Trait of the Tiger:

Physical Traits: The user’s fangs and nails will increase by size and double in sharpness. Their speed will triple to around 75% thus making them go at extremely high speeds, but in this trait, the user will actually run in “four legs” as in, two hands and two feet. They can also jump at very high heights, around five to ten feet. These traits may be useful, but the user’s resistance will decrease, thus inflicting 25% more damage on a physical attack. The puma trait will increase the agility in general of the user, thus making their grasp more accuracy, and they can use devastating. The user, while in using his puma trait can communicate with fellow felines, thus, communicating can be a huge aid, they can scream very loud, thus calling for aid.

Mental Traits: The user will also suffer from mental traits. The user will have the need for blood and flesh; this is why he will have a need to kill as soon as possible, this trait can drive the user insane if he/she does not get blood or flesh As soon as possible. This can be used as an advantage or disadvantage to the user. Like the bear trait, this trait is much more danger, the user will not recognize his loved ones from his hated ones.

Katagi no Inu ~ Trait of the Dog:

Physically Traits: The user, does not really suffer many physical traits in the Dog Trait, the user’s fangs and nails will increase in size, this form isn’t really used in fighting, it is more used in tracking and scouting, due to the fact that the user’s hearing, smelling and seeing will increase tenfold, thus, being the ultimate tracking machine.

Mental Traits: None.

Katagi no Wanizame ~ Trait of the Shark:

Physical Traits: The user usually uses this trait to fight or travel underwater, the user’s claws and fangs are now four times stronger and sharper, thus making the user vital if he bites or slashes someone. The user’s speed underwater increases by 50% and Strenght by 50%. The user, to swim underwater, will use a very small cloak of chakra around his mouth, thus preventing water to enter his mouth. While using this trait, the user’s smell, hear and feel will also increase, due to usual shark traits. This trait does not have any physical drawbacks since this form is so rarely used, since it cannot be used in land.

Mental Traits: The user will also suffer from mental traits. The user will have the need for blood and flesh; this is why he will have a need to kill as soon as possible, this trait can drive the user insane if he/she does not get blood or flesh As soon as possible. This can be used as an advantage or disadvantage to the user. Like the bear trait, this trait is much more danger, the user will not recognize his loved ones from his hated ones, but blood and flesh will be constantly needed for this.

Secret Clan Jutsu: N/A, For now..

History: The Ikimono Katagi first originated in the hidden forests of Amegakure no Sato. They were a small amount of people, but it consisted of four ancestors, each of them specialized in one trait. Wanizame Katagi, The Shark Man, worked his entire life trying to “become” a shark, though, it was impossible, and when he found out, he merely stopped trying and tried to pick up the traits most Sharks have, and try to apply them into the human body,

Inu Katagi, the Dog Man, worked his entire life trying to become man’s best friend, in other words, a dog, like the previous Wanizame Katagi, he failed epically, but try to apply the traits of a dog, like scouting, into the human body, in other words, becoming an animal, but not too physically.

Tora Katagi, the Puma lover, was obsessed with Puma’s and studied everything about them and their daily habits, he wanted to apply the Puma’s characteristics or traits into the human body, thus, developing the Puma Trait. Hokkyokuguma Katagi, travelled into the depths of the highest and coldest lands to learn everything possible about polar bears, as the previous ancestors, he developed a habit of trying to “become” the polar bear, but failed epically and tried to take as many traits as possible and insert them into the human body. Time moved on, ages passed and the current clan members have made many modifications thru jutsus and bloodlines and have nearly perfected the Katagi Bloodline..

Hm, how do they get into that state of mind, create 3 jutsu to activate each trait, also I think each should be a certain rank as well.

It's simple, they are just traits they can activate and deactivate at will.

And they aren't jutsu, TRAITS.

It doesn't matter if you don't feel like it, when a Staff asks you to do something you do it unless you have a good reason not to.

As Travis said, make a jutsu for each trait, they will need a method of activation to be approved.
