Slowly shaking off the chill that now ran down his legs and attempted to make it's way up his spine, Mokuzen began to sigh as he once again found himself attempting to remember exactly how it was that a basic skill such as this managed to escape his thought process while he was in his travels. Was it because he had gotten lazy and avoided water because everyone always assumed he was a corspe? Or was it due to the fact that the water made him feel as though something was between his toes trying to devour him.
Reguardless of the reason Mokuzen slowly took several steps outside of the liquid substance as he sighed to himself and began to fold his chakra about his heels to create a sort of floatation device. With each and every step he attempted to take, Mokuzen could feel the barrier between his feet and the water beneath him give way. "Baby steps first..." He told himself as he took several tiny steps onto the water with his arms crossed as though he was an annoyed toddler.
True, he wasn't a shinobi who enjoyed the water, but something about practicing in it today seemed more or less annoying then he was accustom to. Each step seemed as though he was taking large leaps into an endless cycle of what he could only assume was mostly blood, urine, and more then likely some substance that is only found within fish bones.
The chakra that folded about his feet carried him even as he stood above the clear waters looking into the fish that continued to dance about the area as though trying to eat away at the soles of his feet. Within several moments of training Mokuzen began to notice that he was now tired and slightly cold from having wasted his time training such a simple task as walking on water. With a quick rush back towards the shore, Mokuzen slowly began to dry off his feet and return back to his real training.
