Medal F&Q
How to get a Medal? You need to apply for them in the medal application thread in the feedback forum. State the medals you have met the requirements for with a supporting link (where you cant get one for various reasons a confirmation from a staff member of your entitlement is sufficient) to back it up and the appropriate medals will be added to you profile when time permits. The DSM, RPE and OC medals will be awarded at Adams discretion at regular intervals on the appropriate thread on the Annoucements Forum
Medals are currently approved and set up directly by Jiro, the Medal Administrator
Where do my Medals appear once they have been awarded?Medals will appear in your profile and under your avatar in posts when added
How long does it take to get a medal? You will only be given a medal if you actively apply for one, you can not expect to be assigned medals if you do not apply for one on the medal application thread using the appropriate template.
After that it can take up to two standard weeks though in reality more likely a few days before they are approved and added to your profile. The reason for this is simple. Only Jiro currently has the images needed which need in many cases to be customised into personalised medal bars for every member. While he is prepared to put in the time needed to do this if he has twenty apps to do take a minute to appreciate all the image editing, uploading and modding time involved in making this a reality. If he is away for any reason then it is entirely possible medals will not be updated till his return. Other Medal mods may be appointed to help out but for now it’s a one-horse show and as such may take time to fully implement and keep these achievements updated.
On this note please do not bother Jiro with specific medal requests on cbox or by PM. Hes a busy man and needs his beauty sleep desperately. Thank you
I am sure I had more medals then that. I must have got that one twice. Why do I only have a few?Simple medals are achievement related, triggered upon getting perfroming the required action/achievement they relate to. You therefore never get any medal more then once. It doesnt matter how many times you kill someone two ranks lower then you, you will never get more then one ganker medal. This policy is under review and it may be te case that numbers super imposed over medals will be used to signify mulitples of the same one.
Secondly where you have two medals of the same type, say activity, only the most senior medal will show
The reason for this is to save space on the profile so that it impossible unless new types medals are added to have any more then 12 medals in total at any one time.
