Yonka clan members are granted a few powers along with their dark arts. First off, they levitate off the ground at all times. This levitation can only reach 1 foot at C-rank, 3 feet at B-rank, 5 feet at A rank, and 7 feet at S-rank. Yonka’s can also tell who has died, where they died, how they died, and if murdered who killed them, all by knowing someone’s name or seeing them. They can also tell if someone has killed anyone in the same way.
Ghost Chakra:
Ghost chakra is in no way the chakra of the dead, since if someone was dead they would have no chakra. A Yonka’s chakra is reffered to as ghost chakra because it is very white and pale unlike normal chakra. This does not give a Yonka any chakra based advantages.

The Yonka clan is a clan of ancient mages that stumbled into the dark arts of spiritmancy years ago and gained the ability to gain power from the spirits around them. These abilities make them spiritual mediums, they are the bonding point between the living and the dead. Yonka clan members devote their lives to meditation with the spirits and develop ghost like abilities because of it.

A Yonka can only use one element, the Spirit. This is an ability that became know around the same time as necromancy, but it is much different. Using the spirit element is not raising the dead’s bodies, it’s raising the dead’s spirits. This can be used to literally call spirits to battle, or to damage the enemies spirit or raise their nightmares into existence. Whenever a Yonka uses a spirit technique, they re-live the moment of their initiation into the clan by making their scars glow blood red. This doesn’t harm them in any way and disappears shortly after.

Description: A very simple spirit style jutsu that shoots a beam of ectoplasm from the medium’s palm. This takes no hand signs and can be used almost instantly. The beam is about two inches in diameter and has a decent range and speed.

Description: Grasping Spirits is a Spirit Style jutsu in which the user calls the dead from the ground to grab his opponents. Hands appear from the ground after the jutsu’s use and attempt to pin the target to the ground. At C-rank, these hands cannot reach past 4 feet, at B-rank it is 6 feet, and at A-rank it’s 10 feet.

Description: A very simple spirit style jutsu that calls forth smaller spirits like that of animals and forms them into orbs that circle the medium. These orbs orbit the medium until they are sent to attack or someone attempts to attack the medium. When these orbs explode, they scream and then create a blast that is five feet in diameter. At C-rank, this makes one orb. B-rank, two. A-rank, 3.

Description: A very simple spirit style jutsu that projects a sphere of ectoplasm around the medium to protect them from chakra based attacks. Ectoplasm is not a very strong substance, but it blocks chakra perfectly but if it is hit by a non chakra based attack, it intermediately ruptures and explodes. At C-rank, and ectoplasmic sphere can block chakra attacks up to B-rank and at B-rank this extends up to A-rank. In addition to this, the ectoplasm can actually absorb chakra and transfer it to the user. At C-rank, this can absorb C-rank, at B-rank this can absorb B-rank.

Description: Spirit rising is the base technique of the spirit element. Using this causes spiritual bodies to appear all around the area. These spiritual bodies, are almost like ghost but like a spiritual medium, hold humanlike qualities. Spirits are not like zombies because they have no physically decayed body and instead have a pure ghostly body. Spirits always move at an average walking pace and are commanded by the medium. To make up for this slow pace, the spirits can phase through any non chakra influenced material. Spirits make a loud moaning noise like the living dead, a noise so deafening that someone around them wouldn’t be able to hear anything but the horrible moans. At C-rank, this jutsu calls five spirits from the afterlife and into the fray. At B-rank this number is increased to 15. At A-rank the amount of spirits able to be called is 25. At S-rank, the number of spirits able to be called is 50.

Description: Respect for the dead is another basic technique a spiritual medium knows. Respect for the dead allows the revival of a specific spirit into a battle. This can be someone that the medium has killed, or someone his is battling has killed. When this is used, that specific spirit is drawn forward and is placed under control of the medium. The perfection of this technique depends on the amount of chakra put into it. If a ninja is called forth with a C-rank amount of chakra, that spirit is restricted to and below C-rank jutsu and the slow speed of a regular spirit (excluding academy). At B-rank, they can go to B-rank and move at C-rank speed. A-rank, A-rank jutsu and B-rank speed. S-rank, S-rank Jutsu and A-rank speed.
Name: Spirit Style: Nightmare Wanderer

Description: Spirit Style: Nightmare Wanderer is a more advanced technique that allows a medium to enter the dreams of a target. The distance between the medium and the target makes no difference as long as the medium has seen the target or knows his name. When in the dream, the medium gains complete control/manipulation and can prevent the target from waking up. This can not be used to cause harm to the target, but can scare them or deliver a message of some kind to them.

Description: By asking the spirits of the dead, a medium can find out all of the background knowledge of his opponent. After being used, the Medium acquires this knowledge out of seemingly nowhere. This tells him his opponents Specialties, Elements, KKG, and history.

Description: Using ectoplasm, a medium can create a horse, hellhound, or giant bat. This spirit animal is big enough for the medium to mount and shares the same physical properties of other spirits. This jutsu is used mostly for travel but could be used for combat purposes.

Description: Phase tactics is a spirit style jutsu that needs no hand signs and shows spirit like properties in a Yonka’s life. Through generations of practice, Yonka clan members have mastered the ghostly act of phasing. By surround themselves in ghost chakra an quickly zipping into an object, a Yonka can phase through it. There are limitations to this however, It is impossible to phase very far, so phasing through thick objects would end badly. At B-rank, it is also impossible to phase through another ninja’s chakra, this includes anything created by chakra too. At A-rank however, a Yonka can phase through B-rank or lower chakra based material.

Description: Phase tactics is a spirit style jutsu that needs no hand signs and shows spirit like properties in a Yonka’s life. After generations of practice, Yonka members mastered the ghostly art of possession, the ability to enter a body and control it. Using this jutsu, a Yonka can enter another living things body and control it. When using this at A-rank, a Yonka cannot enter another body that possess too much chakra, like a summoning or another ninja. At S-rank however, possessing such things are possible. If a Yonka tries to possess another ninja or summoning, that target must either be willing to have the Yonka or weakened to a point that they can’t resist him. This is effectively like a genjutsu and can be ‘resisted’ by kai or other techniques. The most important factor in this however, is how much chakra the target has against the chakra of the Yonka. Since the Yonka is trying to move him and his chakra into the target, having a high amount of chakra in the body makes it impossible.
History: The Yonka clan is a somewhat recent clan, considering the full clan abilities have only been mastered recently. The origin of this clan can be traced to back thousands of years, when magic and alchemy were dominate of the ninja system. When people of the world were using magic, there was a underground organization named Neban. Neban was a group of dark magicians that spent their time trying to raise the dead and create a mindless army. This dark art was later named Necromancy and became a major magic of the world. While Neban was creating Necromancy, there was an even deeper and darker part of Neban that was solely focusing on spirits and spiritual arts, later known as Spiritmancy.
Spiritmancy was till being worked on long after the fall of magic and the introduction of the ninja system. Up until 30 years ago, Neban continued to work on this art now with the concept of chakra. Finally it was done and a small group of ninja were able to fully master the art of Spiritmancer. These Spiritmancers created their own clan and now reside under the graveyard of Konoha.
