| It was early in the morning, losing his squadmate Jiro was hard, but today was the day he was meeting with him for the first time in forever. He smiled as he sat up from his bed. His hair had fallen flat and covered his eyesight. Standing up and walking over to the wash basin, Ryne washed his face and hands quickly. His room was an utter mess. Scattered scrolls, food, clothes, bed a mess, a typical teenagers' room. Puting a grin on his face, he ran his hands through his hair and shook it to get his hair to spike up. His light brown hair gleaned with the light as he flipped the switch on. Looking around for what to wear, he grabbed a big, black undershirt and threw it on. On top of that, he pulled on a longsleeve, button down, collared shirt. Leaving it unbuttoned, he pulled his green vest on over it. Satisfied he jumped out of his room and slid down the hall into the kitchen. Waiting for him were eggs, bacon, sasuage, and pancakes. Eating everything quickly, Ryne grabbed his ninja gear from the counter. Placing each holster in its correct spot, Ryne then picked up his two Trench knives and slid the braclets on, flicking the knives inward and prevent from stabbing himself.
Happy, he set off on a nice, calm walk through Konoha. It was a cloudless day as the sun stood shining down. It wasn't necessarily right for him to, so halfway through the walk, Ryne bought a drink and a Ramen to go as he chowed down on the Ramen, he took sips inbetween the bites so he wouldn't burn himself. Once he finished with that he threw the tin into the nearest garabage basket. By the time he reached the training area, the sun was high into the sky and Ryne had reached the spot they'd agree on. Ryne was flicking his Trench knife in and out several times to pass the time.

| Jiro slipped into his small but perfectly organized apartment 5 minutes before he was due to meet Ryne. Looking down at his watched he winced knowing he was cutting it tight, not something the punctual and efficient young Nin liked in the slightest but needs must when the devil drives. He had just finished security detail for the Fire Lord, the all night shift having changed minutes ago. With the speed only a skilled Ninja possessed Jiro still managed to find time for a to remove his Anbu uniform, shower, to change into his everyday kit and then grab a cup steaming, if over done, coffee from the machine on the sideboard and a box of chocolate pocky lying about with 10 seconds or so to spare. Unfortunately not enough time to stop his hair falling into it’s natural disordered state, something he tried to avoid given that the fan girls that plagued him seemed to mistake it as some latest fashion rather then bad bed head. Well he couldn’t worry about that now Quickly flipping through the hand seals he was glad the training ground was far enough away for this technique to be effective, then again it was man reason he had chosen the place, that and its relative isolation would deter snoopers. Finishing the seals moments later he vanished in a swirled of mist, reappearing shortly later at the training ground in question in a cloud of leaves. Some might have said it was a showy entrance if they didn’t know Jiro well. Jiro was in many ways naturally flashy and it was often confused as him showing off, but Jiro dislike arrogant Nin almost as much as incompetent ones. To him practicality and effectiveness were the by word, if it just happened to look neat too then that was an inconsequential by product “Morning Ryne San”It wasn’t hard to spy the trench knives he was liberally throwing about. Jiro wondered if there was purpose to the action or simply a way to alleviate boredom, a concept he personally found very difficult to understand. Frustration and annoyance was one thing but boredom was something else. There always something to fill his day from missions to training. One hand reaching into the box of pocky, he out stretched the other and said: “Pass the blades if you will I must see if they will be sufficient for what I have in mind”--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Spoiler:

| Grinning, Ryne flipped his knife into his sleeve. Seeing Jiro appear, it was quite a sight. Jiro looked older, and exhausted. "Hello Jiro-sama." Ryne did a over exagerated bow. "How is my formal squadmate doing?" Ryne, figuring he was one of few that knew Jiro was ANBU, leaned on the pole Genin were tied to. "How has your life been, haven't seen you around the village lately." Ryne closed his eyes as he felt a slight breeze hit his face. He let out a big sigh. He loved today, it was warm and a nice breeze. Ryne loved it.
Flicking out his knife again, he began playing with it again. He gripped it again and surged a little chakra into it and it was covered in a small sharp layer. All it did was coat the blade, he couldn't enlarge it anymore. If he tried it wasn't sharp or thin. He didn't have much control. Oh well, he began flicking it again.

| Jiro took on of the knives while Ryne continued to play about with the other blade clearly trying to develop on the basics Jiro had relayed to him in preparation for the session. He seemed to have the moulding down but his control was expectedly shaky. Well there was time to sort that out. Looking over the blade he was pleasantly surprised by their quality and balance, not something easy to achieve and he imagined Ryne would have needed to save while to afford them. Quality hardwearing chakra conductive metal was never cheap and to achieve a good blade took time and effort resulting in a substantial price tag. Even so he thought he would check the one he had out and casually scraped it past a nearby rock. If it was inferior it would likely chip. He though he could see momentary concern well up in Ryne’s eyes as it made a worrying scratching noise but the blade fared well and the edge wasn't marred in the slightest. There was better work of course but not much. Yes these should do nicely.
He made a shallow gash on his thumb with it before throwing it back to its owner with a casual flick of the wrist. Then placing his thumb of a small scythe shaped tattoo on his inner left forearm he ran it across and moments later was holding his overly large blood red long handled battle axe. Looking towards him his face as ever a carefully constructed emotionless mask designed to hide his true feelings he spoke up in his soft, carefully modulated tones:
“The blades are nicely made if the other one is as good as it twin. Nice work, it is always a good idea to use the best equipment available. They should serve for what I am about to show you. As you already know the secret to the manipulation involved is rubbing two different flows of wind chakra against each other to create a cutting edge to shame anything you would find on regular blade. This is unfortunately the easy part”
As he said this, his own red bladed weapon was bathed in an ethereal blue glow as chakra flowed through it with the wind chakra rubbing against itself to create a second edge ultra sharp edge just passed the first.
“However this is where it becomes more complex, without losing the form you carefully feed in more chakra. Please not only great control but this requires more Chakra then you might ordinarily be used to, this is B Rank technique so you should be fine but don’t short change it. If you do the chakra construct will collapse”
As he said so his blade changed subtly, still having its blue sheen but now the edge was no longer visible.
“Get this part right and should be able to cut rock without touching”
With a lazy looking flick of the wrist, that in truth required far more control and skill then it indicated he flipped his weapon before lazily swiping past a nearby small tree in a number of loose loops the blade never getting close then 6 inches to its bark. Carefully returning it to his side the tree then quite literally fell apart as careful cut sections toppled like a badly designed tower of cards
“Why don’t you try?” he encouraged not seeming to notice the trees destruction or rather not deigning to give it any attention his gaze fixed on Ryne.

| Ryne watched intrigued by what Jiro had done with his blade. He made a shallow gash on his thumb with it before throwing it back to its owner with a casual flick of the wrist. Then placing his thumb of a small scythe shaped tattoo on his inner left forearm he ran it across and moments later was holding his overly large blood red long handled battle axe. Impressed, Ryne caught the knife in his hand and gripped it tightly listening to what he had to do. “The blades are nicely made if the other one is as good as it twin. Nice work, it is always a good idea to use the best equipment available. They should serve for what I am about to show you." Ryne grinned at the compliment he recieved, but was interrupted as he listened to Jiro continue.
"As you already know the secret to the manipulation involved is rubbing two different flows of wind chakra against each other to create a cutting edge to shame anything you would find on regular blade. This is unfortunately the easy part” Ryne nodded, determined to master this. Ryne slowly began flowing his chakra into the knives, at first the chakra was shaky and unstable. It was think and dull. Ryne began focusing concentrating as he smoothed out the edge and made it thinner and thinner.
Ryne had been concentrating on this for a good five minutes before his head went weak and he blacked out, losing concentration on the blade. He woke instantly, staggering under his weight. Ryne took some short deep breaths, calming himself. He finally controlled his breathing once again and breathed deeply as he channelled the chakra, allowing his body to be calm while manipulating the chakra. Ryne closed his eyes and emptied his mind as the chakra began showing on the blade, it was once again rough, but surely but slowly, the edge became sharper and narrower as Ryne breathed. Looking, the blade was coated in a sharp chakra with the opposite flows of chakra rubbing against one another. Pleased, Ryne grinned as he did the same with the other. He managed to do it a bit faster but still had to concentrate just as hard.
