Name: Water Henge - Suihenge

Description This is a special henge technique that allows the user to henge into a puddle of water in order to hide or to ambush an opponent. However, while in this henge, the user himself must not move so in order to attack he must cancel the henge, although if the user is moved by something else than the henge is maintained.

Deception. Ninjas were all about deception. Even with the existance of S-rank jutsu the simplicity of sneaking up to someone and assassinating them with a kunai still exists. It was an attractive style of attacking as well. Get the first attack on your enemy before they even notice you're there, and hopefully kill them before they even have a chance to counter attack. The simplest jutsu that he thought would aim him in this, was of course the henge. As Shunsuu sat still thinking, he suddenly came up with an idea. Henges were disguises, but what if he henged into something a little more inorganic and less noticeable? What if he henged into a puddle of water? Of, course, careful application was needed and a high-level ninja may notice the trick, but against genin or chuunin, it was the perfect jutsu to ambush them with.

He stood up and concentrated on the jutsu at hand. First he formed the handseals necessary for the Henge Jutsu and then added an extra one: The Snake, to represent the fluidity of the water. Releasing the chakra from his body as his jutsu worked, his appearance suddenly dropped onto the floor, turning into a puddle of water - unmistakable from real water itself just from the visual aspects. Of course, it was more difficult to move and after a couple more practises he realised that once he moved by himself, the jutsu would be broken. Still, there was nothing wrong with that if the jutsu was used exclusively for ambushing.

Fire. When he was younger, the glowing light and warmth attracted him. Like a bright star, he had marvelled at the little delights that danced on he candles around his house. Both dangerous and yet...so easy to put out. With a breath that he had exhaled, the lights went out and the performance was over but even at that age he had learnt that fire was something that could hurt, that it could burn. Shunsuu opened his eyes, taking in his surroundings as he took a deep breath. An old memory. He thought to himself again. What naturally came with fire? A fuel of some sort of course. Grinning, he unpacked his bag and grabbed a book of his father's jutsu. He flickered through the pages until he found the jutsu he wanted. "Suiton: Kokuun No Jutsu." It was a jutsu that formed clouds of flammable oil which then rained on the opponent. A suiton that could somehow benefit fire. It was almost ironic but not quite.

He quickly formed the handseals for jutsu as it was listed in the book. The cloud appeared, and Shunsuu casually let it rain out its flammable oil onto the moist earth. Grabbing a match from his pocket, he then lit it before throwing it into a pool of oil. The flames spread and the lights glowed. The performance of fire had started yet again. The next time he used it, it would be more than amusement, it would be for killing.

Name: Fog Wall Technique - Enmukabe No Jutsu

Description: After forming the necessary handseals, the user forms a small wall of super-dense fog within their light of sight that can allow the user to hide behind it so that the enemy cannot see them. This fog is so dense, that it allows no light through it, however, its defensive capabilities are very low and allows physical weaponry and elemental jutsu (except low-rank Katon) through it. This jutsu does not require much water and can be used as long as there is moisture in the air.

Description: After forming the necessary handseals, the user is able to form up to 5 fog balls, roughly the size of footballs. The fog is very dense and allows almost no light through it. Chakra inside the fog holds its shape which allows the fog to mimic some solid characteristics and allows it to be thrown or kicked at high speeds. The fog itself is incapable of doing damage but the user's chakra inside has a tagging effect, that sticks onto its target. If an opponent is hit onto the face for example, they will not be able to see through the fog and various objects can also be hidden in the fog balls. This jutsu does not require much water and can be use as long as thee is moisture in the air.

Shunsuu sipped on his morning coffee as he walked towards the windows in his living room, peering out to see the sunrise of a new day. But as he widened his eyes, there was nothing, nothing but cold fog. He could not see past 5 metres as everything faded out. It seemed like this new day would be dreary. He would certainly not be able to train his suiton jutsu today. He took a few steps back slowly before lazily reclining in an arm chair. Then suddenly, a new idea confronted him. It was true that for most ninjas, the fog was certainly not an ideal condition for training but what if he could develop some new suiton in this environment? It would be the perfect conditions for testing. He had after all, already learnt Kirigakure No Jutsu, and thus, the idea of using fog or mist as a jutsu wasn't far-fetched. As he had already learnt the basics, it was pretty much a matter of application to create these new variants.

He put on a coat, stretched his neck and then opened the door before stepping outside. The cool air blew his hair gently. In a matter of no time at all, he had walked to the training area and now, he was leaning on a tree - thinking of the mechanics of the jutsu. Kirigakure No Jutsu, was of course a suiton, and it was basically the creation of a dense mist. For his new jutsu, it would be pretty much the same, but instead of a mist covering the entire area of combat, he was going to have fog creations such as fog balls or fog walls. It would require less chakra and have a variety of uses - some that Kirigakure No Jutsu doesn't have. Having finished deciding what he would do, he pulled up his sleeves and got to work.

First the fog that was already present in the air. Shunsuu released his chakra as he formed a couple of handseals, and quickly used this chakra to gather the tiny water droplets into a small area. Using one hand to help him do so. Pretty quickly, the fog was compressed into a fog ball of sorts. "Interesting," he said to himself quietly as he held up the fog ball so that he could see it better. He had some ideas already in terms of what he would do with such a jutsu. It definitely wasn't offensive on its own though. With the ability to now use the fog ball jutsu through the use of fog compression, he then had another idea. What if he create a larger and denser shape, what if he could shape the fog into something other than a ball? It would be slightly harder and require more chakra but it should be within his limits.

He formed the handseals once again but this time, instead of compressing the fog into a ball, he began to herd it with his chakra. He allowed the fog to freely congolmerate with each other as the shape of a wall appeared. Using his chakra, he defined the boundaries, not letting the fog escape its shape as the fog wall became denser and denser until it formed a dark shadow on the floor. It was dense enough that it blocked light. Still, even though it was aptly coined fog wall, it didn't have that much defense use either. However, he was happy with the results of his two new jutsu as he knew exactly what to do with them.

Name: Demonic Illusion: Visual Discrepancy - Magen: Bijuaru

Description: This genjutsu makes it so that things and shapes that the target sees are shorter than in reality. The shortness can be very subtle and the user can make it so that the target only perceives certain things or shapes as shorter or smaller. For example, the user may draw a weapon out from its scabbard and the opponent will see it as shorter than in reality such that when the user strikes the opponent with the weapon, the opponent may underestimate the range of it. This genjutsu lasts for 4 posts.

Shunsuu had trained a lot of ninjutsu recently to prepare for the Chuunin Exams, so it was inevitable that he would quickly realise that he was lacking in a number of genjutsu - his other speciality. He was very ninjutsu focused of course, but there were some advantages that genjutsu could bring to the playing field and he would perhaps require him. As usual, he decided to take a look at his father's jutsu book. There were always jutsu that he had not yet trained from the jutsu book, and coming up with a new genjutsu was too time-consuming. He flicked through the pages towards the genjutsu section and then began to read them.

"Midget Transformation Genjutsu. Nope."

"Erotic paradise. Nope. Wait...why the hell does he have this sort of genjutsu?"

"Visual Discrepancy."

He stopped. This was the sort of genjutsu he needed. Something that wasn't obvious, something that was subtle and yet could give a large advantage if used correctly. Yup, this was perfect for use when chaining up jutsu combinations. He quickly memorised the handseals and cast it on himself. At first nothing appeared to have changed but knowing that he put himself into his own genjutsu and being a genius, he quickly saw the tiny differences the genjutsu caused in the visual senses. Everything was shorter, but the fact that everything was shorter, only made it harder to see the difference. He used Kai, dispelling his on genjutsu before making a small grin. He had learnt yet another useful jutsu.

Name: Air Bubble

Description: A simple suiton jutsu that allows the user to envelop water around air, creating a large helmet bubble of air that can be worn by the user. The air inside the bubble allows the user to breathe oxygen so as to swim underwater for longer or to protect themselves from poisonous gases. The air inside the bubble lasts 4 posts.

He had gone diving before - although it wasn't a common occurence. Swimming and diving weren't really big in the Land of Fire and Konoha was far away from any beaches but when he was little he had gone on holiday. On those sun-lit beaches where the sand was hot enough to be painful as you stood on it with no sandals, he had gazed beyond the horizon of the waters, wondering what was out there. But he missed the true mystery. It was not important what was out there, but what was underneath the nearby water. The mystery that was nearby but never sought. Water, the most important and vital substance on earth and yet, man could not breathe in water. It was funny really, in some ways, that made humans worse fish.

However, although Shunsuu didn't have a jutsu that could allow ninja to breathe underwater, he did have a simple jutsu to atleast delay drowning. With a set of simple handseals, he formed a bubble, using chakra to create a layer of tight water around some air. By wearing the helmet, it allowed him a supply of oxygen that would last for a bit before he would have to go back to the surface. It certainly increased his capabilities underwater and would perhaps have some uses in battle as well.
