Squad 6 mission

Mission Objective:
*Meet up with merchants at the Valley of the end
*Search river for artifacts
*Guide them to the village
*Be wary of bandits
Mission Overview: A group of merchants were traveling to Konoha with some anchient artifacts, when their wagon was damaged and the cargo got wash down the river. It is possible that bandits are after the priceless aftifacts)

After reviewing the misson specs and moving towads the designated mission spot, he had already from countless plans one of the bigesst problems was the countless variables. Did they lose them in the river, was this planed by bandits, how would the bandits react after finding out not only did the clients lose the cargo but the clients also called in ninja. Would the bandits be violent could the bandits have ninja experince how much if they did, also what if the bandits have poison did he bring enough antidotes is it possible that this is all faked? all the variables all the plans all the possiblitys all the thinking made his brain hurt, he had arrived to see once agian he was alone with his sensei this was his first misson and davell was determend not to screw it up.

Howl yawned. She shouldn't have stayed up so late training last night. Reading the Mission aloud to Kiba, who was plodding by her side, they made their way down to the meeting point. Davell Nara, one of her teammates, was already there, along with Sensei. Howl bowed her head quickly in greeting, hoping that neither of them saw her eyes, and Kiba nodded his head slightly too.

Howl leaned on a boulder and Kiba sat at her feet. She twirled a kunai in her hand while she wondered what would happen in their mission. Although she didn't show it, she was excited about her first mission.

Well we got two of three, oh yeah that reminds Kenshiki thought, "Hello again you two, I've got an annoucement. Yuri Uchiha has been replaced by Yameni Suki." After finishing the annoucement Kenshiki pulled out a scroll, with a seal of two crossed swords, opened it and started studying it while they waited.

Suki quietly walked down along the area designated for training. She was last, and felt slightly annoyed at herself for not arriving early. She batted away the negative thought as if it were a mere fly bothering her. Her team mates were there already, and looking at her. She had met Howl already, but the other boy she had not. Suki regarded him cutely, and greeted him friendlily.
The night before, she had read the mission file, and had spent so much time reading it that her head hurt. and she was tired. She considered the scenario. Bandits? How cliché she thought absently.
Sensei, she said, bowing. She turned to the other two Good morning, I'm Suki. She smiled and added Finding treasure then? That'll be interesting!
Ouch, that was a stupid thing to say. Now she really looked like a stupid ten year old. She sighed inwardly and would have grimaced were it not for trying to look competent. She took three senbon from her pouch, and held them with a relaxed looking hand, ready for threatening bandits.

"hmm"? "this must have been the replacement sensei was talking about wow after that comment she must be feeling very stupid" after she rose from bowing he began to break her down judgeing by her hight and mouth lines and lack of stresslines he duduced that she is atleast was at least 10 hight about 4"3 someware around that nature she seemed friendly but then she but some senbon in her hand proved that she was very nervous after realizing how wierd it must be to be staring at her likethis so he began to speak "heh well well looks like every one is here regarudless we should be heading to the meeting point " after turning towadrs the pathway he motioned for the lady teamembers to advance

Howl rolled her eyes as the 10yr old girl walked up wearing an oversized kimono. Taking a small slice of fresh bread out of her pouch, Howl broke off a piece and gave it to her wolf before eating the tough chewy bread as she got ready to go.

Kiba took the breadcrust in his jaws and held it. He chewed on it as they walked, and kept his head well above the ground so it wouldn't get dirty.

Kenshiki smiled for a moment before his expression became blank again. Watching these three reminded him of his first mission, but that soon left his mind, it was time to be focused on the mission.

They started walking towards the area where the cart was damaged. It wasn't too far from where they meet, along the way Kenshiki was silenty observing his squad, watching to see if they flinch at every noise or if they get into fights, anything that would help him learn about them.

Suki raised her brow. Eye rollers? The two team members seemed a little boring, except the dog. He was interesting. Some sort of Irish wolfhound-like breed. I like the colours she thought absently. Maybe she could design a kimono with a similar colour pattern? Hopefully they'd be more interesting on the battlefield.

She idly followed the rest of her squad with the senbon in her hand. As they traveled along the path, she heard the cracking of a twig, and gave a quick sidelong glance. Seeing a snag of red-orange fur on a tree, she deduced it was just a fox. She scanned the area infront of her to watch out for traps, and stayed slightly behind, observing the other two to see if they hit anything.
Soon the battered remains came into plain view, and she stopped to observe the area.

Howl stopped when they came to the cart, and rested her hand on her katana on her back. "Sheesh." she thought, seeing that one of the wheels was completely off and lying a few feet away. Walking over to it, she picked it up and propped it up against the rest of the cart.

Kiba, hearing the fox, glanced and sampled the air. Growling playfully, he trotted after the fox. The red-brown vixen, seeing that the wolfdog was only a puppy, stood her ground and bared her fangs. Kiba snarled, raising his hackles, and took one step forwards. At this the fox realised that he was serious about attacking her and backed off. Kiba sniffed at a nearby tree and trotted back to the others.

Howl looked at sensei, this time revealing her striking golden eyes from behind her honey-gold fringe. "Where are the owners of this cart?" she asked.

"Who know's it's possible they went into hiding incase the bandits came." "Hey!! anybody here!" he yelled as he did it two owners had emerged, two men with a small boy hugging onto one of the mens leg. he persumed that the boy was a son or possibly a brother, of one of the owners .

Davell smiled and said "I presume that you are the owners of this cart." at first the owners were hesitent, he dudced that this was becuse they worried that thiey could be the bandits. He simply continued to smile and said "dont worrie we are here to help", he said this as he rasied he sunhat and showed his headband which shone in the sunlight.

"Hi there," Kenshiki said going up to them and showing the scroll. The older figure lossened up a bit when he was shown the scroll, and he started explaining the situation. Kenshiki listened intently, as he did he took note of the possible enemy sabotauge to the cart, and of the items that went into the river.

After he was done talking, The guy gave Kenshiki a piece of paper, then Kenshiki turned to the squad and annouced, "Well they inspected the wheel of the cart, and noticed damage that was either caused by termites,or possible bandits, and he is a list of twenty items from the cart. They managed to save five from the river, so we only have to find fifth-teen. Also they haven't seen anyone else but the possibilty that there are bandits is still high, so be on your guard. Since you guys are the ones who are learning why not come up with a plan of action and we can decide who to go about recovering the items."

As the Nara boy shouted, she saw movement in the peripherals of her eyes. Looking to the side, two cart owners and a boy appeared from behind the cart. They looked scared. Suki quietly observed what was going on. As their charges talked to sensei, she listened and inspected the cart.
It seemed fine, apart from the battering, and the handiwork was beautiful. The cart's components fitted in so perfectly, it was like a secret work of art! She smiled at the thought that she had found it out first.

Then again, it didn't matter. She was just the replacement. They would be expecting her to be some annoying, stupid, little brat. Or maybe not? She again cleared the thoughts away, and looked back at the cart.
How could it have broken so easily? The side she looked at was undamaged, apart from the wheel. She tentatively touched the shiny nut that hanged loosely onto the wheel. Hm, it wasn't so shiny after all. The metal had formed a layer of some shiny substance. So something had reacted with the metal. First thing that came to mind;acid
"Sensei?" she asked quietly after he'd told them about the list, "Do any ninja use corrosive acids?" What else could really be? She showed him the crusty, shiny stuff she found on the metal of the cart wheel.

Howl and Kiba had left the cart and the others, and were wading, Howl barefoot and knee-deep and Kiba saddlebag-less and chest-deep, in the brook, scouting for the missing items. Howl had memorised the first five items on the list which sensei still held, and had managed to find a small brass bowl with handles. She lifted it clear of the water and admired it. There was a beautifully-carved dragon coiling itself all around the rim of the bowl, its ornate head dipped inside to seemingly look inside the the bowl. Laying the object carefully on the bank, she quietly asked Kiba if he'd found anything.

The wolfhound-wolf hybrid puppy shook his head and slipped on a shiny pebble. Getting soaked up to his chin, the dog shook and looked around again. There was a small pile of damp wood on the bank near the others - parts of the cart that had splintered and broken off and fallen into the stream, and this pile was steadily growing as the two ninjas dug around the riverbed.

As he watched the inazuka girl jump into the river, he heard the other girl sugest a though about crossive acids. He wondered if maybe the bandits could be near by after pushing this aside he began to take off his sunhat and his jacket in only and t-shirt and his pants he leaped into the water after diving into it he began calculating his thought's


"[i]Let's see there is the dragon brass bowl and the inazuna girl just found that, so there is the silver tea pot an first copy of the leaf headband and others. I'll start with the sliver teapot the average wight of silver is 3 pounds, the speed of this river is about 7 miles per hour 4 miles per hour the cartt broke down about 5 hours ago. Thats 20 miles down the river but the wight of the original headband, was 4 pounds plus the added training wight behind the symbol puts its total wight at 7 so 1 mile per hour its only 5 miles down stream."


Davell gave a cough he blinked and realized he was running out of breath, he had no idea how long he has been under there. He poped up and took a giant breath and swam 5 miles down stream and found the heandband, he climbed out of the river as he walked back up to the camp and sat down the artifact next to him taking a breather.

He replayed the items in his mind and realized that crossing off the teapot the headband and the brass bowl there was still 12 iteams left, he had a feeling he was going to be under water alot more before the day was done.


(OCC: the headband is so heavy with out the wight becuse they did not have lighter metals)

Kenshiki thought about the question for a moment, and finally said, "Well I don't recall hearing about someone who acids, but if you can get your hands on it, then why not?" Kenshiki walked over Yameni Suki and examined the the stuff. Kenshiki thought about it a little bit more and remembered a report about a break in from a chemical plant, and woundered if this stuff was it. "Good find, I'll take that and have it checked out after the mission, but for now we should be on the look out. It ain't easy to break into most chemical plants, so that means we are more then likly not alone."

Kenshiki thought about it a while, why hadn't the person(s) Who did this take off with the stuff? Were they waiting for an ambush? Did something happen? Kenshiki felt his hands heading for his swords, but he stopped himself, if they were being observed he didn't want the enemy to know he knows. Kenshiki then looked around seeing everyone was accounted for. "Well guess we ought to help look around." Kenshiki said to Suki. He went onto the water, and observed it for the artifacts, while he did this he watched his team and the clients in the corner of his eyes, if said enemy were to attack, they would wait until the jounin is unsespecting.

Kiba lifted his head clear of the water. Hanging from his jaw and caught on his canine tooth was a golden chain necklace. Howl carefully took it from him and put it inside the bowl they had found earlier. "Kiba. Go downstream a little." Howl muttered to her wolfdog.

Kiba nodded and splashed toward the Nara boy, swimming with doggy-paddle...but underwater. He scanned the floor and let a few bubbles escape gleefully from his jaws as he spotted a large wooden box lodged between a large rock and the bank. He was relieved to find that there was a rope attached to it - the rope that had tied it to the cart, and he let his head above the water and grabbed the rope. Pushing hard against the current, Kiba half swam, half bounded back upstream to Sensei and Howl and the clients.

Suki nodded in reply to sensei, and looked at the others. They'd found something useful already!! She loosened a few wires from her kimono and put her hand to her pouch, making it look like the wires were pulled from her pouch. Her sleeves were so big that they concealed most of her actions. She saw the dog returning with a bit of wood attached to rope, and decided to look for stuff. She ran down about seven miles downhill, and cast her wires into the river.
The current would have pushed many of the lost items along the river, and sending a small amount of chakra through the wires, she waited for a disturbance. Surprisingly, she received it straight away. A second too late she would have lost it.

With a flick of her hand, two wires coiled 'round it and threw the egg-shaped item into the air. Suki caught it. It was heavier than it looked, made of a dense, black stone. It had intricate markings all over it. They were laced with a fine silver. It suited her, she thought. But she had no more time to look;another disturbance! As she threw it into the air, she ducked out of the way. Just a clump of mud.
For the next five minutes, she caught a few fish(which she returned to the river) and an ancient looking, sacrificial knife. She decided she should return to the others first. She withdrew the small traces of chakra in the wires, and ran back upstream. She presented the two items to the cart owners, and crossed them off the list.

Kiba hauled the crate onto the bank like an undersized pack-horse. A soon as it was clear of the water and safely on the side, he charge into the river again. Swimming about 7 miles downstream so he was near Suki, he carefully observed her techniques of getting the items from the water so he'd have something to report back to Howl, while searching for items himself.

Howl looked at Sensei with her golden eyes. "Sensei, you could go downstream with the others. I'll stay up here and protect the clients - and maybe start to fix the cart." Howl suggested, motioning with her hand. She was alot more talkative while there was no-one else around.

((OOC Due to some untimely circumstances Davell Nara will be gone for awhile so we will complete this mission without him.))

Well so far so good Kenshiki thought as he pulled out an old breast plate. He took it back and put it by the cart when Howl came up to him and said

"Sensei, you could go downstream with the others. I'll stay up here and protect the clients - and maybe start to fix the cart."

Kenshiki thought about it a moment then said, "Well, sure why not." Kenshiki wasn't sure if the genin were ready for such a task but he would soon find out. "Just remember that protect the people are more important then saving the artifacts." After saying that Kenshiki bowed quickly and went on down farther to search. As he was going down he turned his head slightly to look back, not sure if he made the right call but then shook his head, at the thought that Howl couldn't hold off an attack. He felt silly for not believeing in his squad and contiued onward going farther then the other genin to search.

Suki walked back to Howl, overhearing what she had said. She grimaced at her. "Inazumi-san," she said with a slightly lowered voice, so the cart owners did not hear, "The cart is beyond repair. The metal is covered in the residue, making it uneven, and fall to bits, the metal is useless. Not only that, look at the cart," she indicated towards the cart. It had a massive gaping hole in it, and most of the wood was broken up and splintering. There were planks of wood on the cart here and there which looked like someone had kicked inwards. She walked over to it. "The wheels could be kept though," she said to her. She picked up the wooden wheel.
....And it fell apart.
She looked at it again. "Not only had the metal corroded, but the wheel had been cleanly sliced clean. This does not look coincidental," her voice had an edgy tone to it.
There was an eerie, uncomfortable silence as she said this. Without sensei, she felt slightly vulnerable. Suddenly the crack of a twig was heard.
Suki narrowed her eyes. A streak of orange was visible through the trees. "Is that the same fox from before?" she asked suspiciously. If so, that fox was far, far away from where they saw it. What was it doing here?
She did not have a good feeling about this

Howl whistled shrilly. At once Kiba was at their side. "Kiba, there's something wrong. There's definately people out here against us." she pointed to where they had seen the red-orange streak a moment ago, "over there."

Kiba slipped a kunai from his saddlebag and held it in his jaws. Padding into the forest, there was an uncomfortable silence while he was gone...which wasn't very long.

A few minutes later the terrified puppy charged out of the undergrowth, a short bolt from some kind of crossbow stabbing his saddlebag. Dropping his kunai, he looked up at the two genin and spoke. "Howl, they've got acid. They've got it on crossbow bolts. I was lucky. At least 5 Amegakure ninja." turning his head, he allowed Howl to calmly pull out the acid-laced bolt and throw it aside. Howling, Kiba called Sensei by barking urgently.

Howl drew her katana. "En garde." she muttered, holding it in a cut position. Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, another bolt whizzed narrowly past Howl's head and struck the cart.

Suki waited awkwardly. It felt like hours before she saw the blue puppy return-with an arrow sticking out of him. It spoke, in human, thankfully. They had acid, they had bolts, they had numbers.
Numbers, she thought, aghast as she realised that the two of them were stuck. They had to fight the ninja. Two Konohagakure genin versus five Amegakure ninja. Suki took a deep breath, flexing her fingers. "Try not to touch the acid, it's corrosive Inazumi-san," she muttered quietly. She looked back, just for a second, and saw sensei, far, far away downstream. In a few minutes, he would be out of sight, downhill, and still to far away to be heard.
With the wires still trailing from her kimono, Suki leaped to the cart owners as the arrow hit the cart. A single touch, and the whole thing would fall apart. The ninja could have gotten them the whole time. Why did they wait for the ninja to arrive?
To do the dirty work a voice answered in her head. They had gotten some artifacts, and sensei had left. Easy pickings for them. They didn't even have the nara boy to use the shadowy trees to incapacitate them.
She whispered softy enough for just howl and kiba to hear "Jump," and held her hammer necklace. "Kai!" she shouted, breaking the seal on her hammer with it raised high above her head, then she brought it down with a huge "THUD."
A huge fissure opened up and went into the trees. It stretched out for 5 more metres. The ground shook furiously, and trees fell into the huge crack in the earth. Sensei might just hear the tremors, depending on how far he'd gone. She had cleared the trees, felling may in the earthquake, and two ninja were exposed. One had his own acid all over his face, and the other looked slightly concussed. "Get Sensei!" she shouted after Kiba.
SHe checked the cart owners, bunched together with their heads down. Clever move, she smiled.

Kenshiki was walking around searching when he could have sword he heard someone yell. He was about to turn, and was flipping through the jutsu he knew in his mind when he felt tremors on the ground. When he completed turning around, he saw multiple figures in the distance moving around, about seven to ten.

Kenshiki cursed under his breath for not expecting something like this, but he wasn’t going to give up. He guessed that the other targets were chunin, because if they were jounin with that size they wouldn’t need to wait for Kenshiki to leave. Kenshiki figured if he were to sprint he might make it but more then likely he would fall for a trap so he decided to call for some back up. Kenshiki bit into his thumb so it was bleeding then, made the hand signs and said,” Summoning jutsu,” as he hit his palm against the ground.

The ninja normally signs a blood contract with the animal species, which allows them to summon different size and skill levels of creature. The ability to summon more advanced animals largely depends upon the amount of chakra the ninja can muster to perform the jutsu. To summon the creature the ninja will wipe blood on the hand, perform the necessary handseals and then touch their hand to the ground or another object. Though it appears that as long as significant pressure is placed against the blood in some form, the summon will be complete.

“Hey old girl,” Kenshiki said while mounting the chocobo. Still prefere to speak rather then think it? You humans are all weird. Said a female voice in Kenshiki’s head. “Yup, now full speed towards those people, and watch out, they may be using acid.” Kenshiki said quickly once he was on Wynn. The chocobo then dash off at about seventy miles per an hour, and while it was running it let out a Wark! Sound as energy floowed around it and it’s feathers became more durable. Nice Kenshiki thought almost forgetting what a chocobo can do.

Description:This tech can ONLY be used by a chocobo. When it is performed the chocobo's feathers will toughen until they are as strong as steel, and this will protect them from taijutsu based attacks, and some other low level attacks.

Kenshiki hoped that, if they did have acid, the chocobo’s ability would protect it. Kenshiki grabbed into a pouch filled with wire and tied it around four kunai. He was hoping that he could hit the targets before he got close enough for them to hit him, and he with the rope it could guide Wynn’s thunder based attacks. They were close enough to the battle that Kenshiki could see five enemy’s and figured there was more still hidding. And he knew he was right when two bolts zapped right by him. One missed completely and the other grazed Wynn steel feathers. As it hit it sizzled, but didn’t do to much damage to her but that made her angry. Find them and I will give them what’s do. Kenshiki understood, and looked quick and saw the enemy’s bodies, and threw two kunai, attached to wire, at them. When he did Wynn sucked in air, held there for a second, and then released it as bolts of lightning that shot out, and was guieded be the string.

Description: The User of this tech will suck in some air, hold it for a little bit then blow outward causeing lightning bolts from the mouth to release and go in the genneral direction the user is faceing. Note ninja string can be used to help direct this attack.

After that Kenshiki jumped off of Wynn, and drew both of his sword. Kenshiki was about to charge the enemys that were assulting his squad, but a bolt shot past him causeing him to stop, he turned to see that the two who attacked weren’t knocked out. Wynn came up beside Kenshiki. Go to them I can take care of these two. Kenshiki about what Wynn said but decided not to go. “Hey you know to use your techniques, you need to draw energy from me, and that far away, would help you…” Kenshiki was cut short as one of the targets came at him weilding a short sword. There was no doubt in Kenshiki’s mind that it was made of a material that would be dissolved by the acid. Kenshiki was dodgeing the attacks, while waiting for an opening, he didn’t want to find out if his sword would resist it. He turned his head slightly to see his genin fighting, Hold out for a little bit longer Kenshiki thought before take his full attention back to his oppenent.

OOC: since kyubi or davell haven't posted for a while, I'll post as the bad guy team right now.

BADDIES:
As he lunged for the sensei of the team repetitively, he was laughing inside. He was just a distraction. Soon his sword would form a useless layer of oxide that would blunt the sword, making it more like a club. Well, clubs can still kill. He tried as hard as he could to shake his sword as much as possible, to send drops of the caustic, corrosive acid onto his skin and eyes.
The other team member watched the fighters. He shot another arrow at the chocobo. If that things defenses were to high, it didn't matter. He needed to fight just the chocobo. He ran out the second his arrow was loose. His speed was the highest in the team, and he was running as fast as the arrow. With his speed, he would be landing blows on the thing and it would be struggling.
He was also just a ploy.
The last unharmed ninja was the leader, the one with the great acid jutsus, the great ability to make acids and poisons. He clapped, but the clap's sound was magnified by 10 times as much as a normal clap. It would affect only his opponents, because his team had a special seal placed on their ears to prevent them being injured by sound attacks.
He then made a huge glob of the acid and threw it into the air. Then it exploded, sending acid everywhere, the acid was needed to summon his acid monsters.
They appeared in a puff of poisonous smoke, and were oozing with acids and posions. They looked like they were from hell itself. Deformed faces and body parts. The monsters would attack anyone they see.
In the pandemonium, he made a few hand seals, with the snake handseal repeating many times in the sequence. He pointed one finger at the egg artifact, and a long green ray shot out from the trees, destroying everything in it's path.
He did want an artifact after all, wanted to destroy one
