The Blind Arrival

Due the lack of a loud, painful sound, Shigairu concluded the girl had not fallen because of his technique. In fact, she appeared to be preparing some sort of next plan. Not being capable of using the 2 eyes he had revealed at the moment, Shigairu was completely unaware of the actions the girl was undertaking. Still, he heard the distingtive sound of a persons sleeves when he moved his 2 arms quickly, indicating the girl was either forming handseals or doing some other sort of specific movement with her arms. Whatever she was doing, Shigairu figured it was best not to let her finish it and took a couple of steps into her direction, still holding the same kunai he drew at the very beginning on the fight in his right hand.

"Whatever you're doing, I'm not letting you finish it!", he roared as he charged into her direction with his kunai up high. His accuracy took a heavy blow now his eyesight was hampered, yet he knew her general position and he still had the advantage of speed and power at his side. This made him confident enough to attack the girl directly without having to fear for his life. His feet quickly trampled grass, dirt, and rocks underneath them as he sped towards his target, leaving behind the famous small dustclouds generated when someone is running at a significant speed. This, though neither Shigairu nor the blind girl could see it, gave the fight a pretty impressive sight.

Atsui noticed a speedy character running towards her. She stopped flailing her arms and attempted to sidestep it quickly, but she wasn't quite quick enough. The kunai made a cut across the soft palm of her hand. She lightly winced in pain, but suppressed it. "Too late..."Atsui held her hands in the same seal they were held in, previously. Small, molten drops of glass started to form in the air from the particles that were now forming together from the heat. She tried to specifically aim the drops above the man's head, but could get it quite so precise. A couple drops fell to the ground and cooled off, becoming small 'marble'-like items that could easily trip somebody not being careful with their speed. Atsui knew that the small pieces were on the ground, but couldn't specify exactly where, so she was, too, going to have trouble with this, but hopefully not as much as her opponent.

"Arg", Shigairu roared as the marble-like pieces of glass rained down on him. Though not dealing significant damage, the glass marbles did hurt as they hit his bald head, especially when they hit one of the eyes residing on it. When the glass pieces finaly stopped raining down however, Shigairu ceased his moaning of pain and focussed on the battle again. "What the hell was that for? Were you expecting to kill me by throwing rocks at me or something?", he yelled at Atsui as he rubbed his head in pain and tried to listen carefully to find her new location, which he unofortunately failed at. Since he felt his kunai make contact with something, he also figured he had to have hit the girl and she couldn't be to far away. Where exactly she was remained a mistery, however. One Shigairu sought to solve to take down the little twat.

Still tightly holding on to his beloved kunai, Shigairu started stepping around. Slow, calm, and listening carefully for any breath taken or any slightest movement made. After having taken a couple of steps however, the jounin felt the ground slide away underneath him on a rather strange way. "Woah", he muttered as he sought to find his balance on the glass marbles, which he succeeded in after having rolled left and right for a couple of seconds. Appearantly whatever the girl had forced to rain down on him earlier had covered the ground around him, giving him a hard time comfortably and swiftly stepping around. It looked like there would be no more quick, direct attacks. Instead, the best thing to do for now seemed to be waiting for the girl to make her own move. That way at least Shigairu was sure about where she was, and would not have to balance his way over the round objects in order to find her.

Atsui listened to what happened and took note to what the man said. "Actually, it's glass." She started to take careful steps on the glass chunks, walking across them, slowly, giving herself a new position. She crouched down and rolled a bunch of marbles into a pile. She held the handsign again.The marbles started to melt and form into a new weapon. The molten mineral was formed into the shape, that of a katana of sorts. The entire blade was made of glass, smoldering glass, so at the moment it was useless. Atsui stayed where she was, near the ground, hoping the man wouldn't find her until the blade was ready. She lifted a marble and threw it at the ground, further away from her, trying to make a distraction for the time being.

"Marbles....", Shigairu repeated on a confirming tone as he sought to keep his ballance and moves his kunai left and right in the process. This certainly made things a lot more difficult, and it looked like there would be no more direct taijutsu attacks. On the other hand, he couldn't let this girl have her ways like this. She claimed the marbles were glass ones, perhaps indicating some sort of glass manipulation bloodline ability. Judging from the blinding white light and these marbles, she was likely to have more tricks up her sleeve then just this. Waiting for her to make a move no longer looked like the best thing. Before he'd know it, she had prepared some sort of super glass finishing move, and he would be doomed.

Slowly but steadily, Shigairu twisted and turned his body into the direction of the ticking sounds the marbles made as Atsui crept over them. When he had almost reached the right angle however, a ticking sound at a whole other location caught his ear instead. Inmediatly his arm moved accurately and swiftly as it lodged a kunai into the direction of that sound, just to hit nothing but marbles and soil as it made impact. Clever as he was, the Jounin realised this had to be a distraction, and the first location he had been heading for was likely to be the right one. As calmly and silent as he could, he reached for his pouch to draw another kunai, just to point it into the direction of the sound, and Atsui, as soon as he got hold of the sharp knife. He lifted it up, fixed his aim..... "Gotcha now!", he roared as he lodged another kunai, yet this time in the right direction.

Atsui noticed what the man was doing. At the last second, she kicked her feet out. The kunai sliced the bottom of her shoe, splitting it in half. In the air, her shoe fell off. She grabbed it, falling back onto the ground. She grabbed the hilt of her cooled blade, lifting the sword up. She had moved a couple marbles when she hit the ground, wind blowing out from under her. Atsui leaned down and lifted a handful of marbles, throwing them in the direction she had thrown the other marble. If the man fell for her trap, she would dash up to him and slice across his spine. If she was to slip on the marbles as she did so, she would just slice down onto his head. If he didn't fall for the distraction, she would jump back, into a tree, waiting for his next movement.

Shigairus face moved left and right as marbles ticked everywhere, completely whiping out his sense of his opponents location and his orientation. When the marbles had finally stopped ticking, Shigairus patience, as little was it was, ran out. "Enough of this crap!", he roared as he once again sought his ballance on the rolling marbles and reached for the bandages on his head. He had been taking this girls little games for to long now. He was not born blind, like her, and fighting without his vision simply was not his thing. It was time to reveal the additional eyes on his head. When he would once again have acces to sight, this fight would be over quickly. At least, it would be, right?

One smooth motion with his arm was enough to pull of the long, smudgy bandage and reveal his eye-covered bald head. As the eyes blinked, slowly getting used to the sunlight, it revealed the image of a marble-covered river bed and a young, blind girl clutching some sort of glass weapon. "I see you....", Shigairu muttered as he blinked his eyes some more and turned his face towards the girl. He had vision again. Well, in theory he had his vision all the time, yet simply did not use it. Now he used it again, he once again had the upperhand in battle. At least, he did, right? He could see, the girl could not. There was no telling however how the girl would react on this sudden change of the situation.

A light grin started on the girl's lips. "Finally... but, who says I'm not just going to blind you again?" Atsui started to carefully circle the man, walking slowly. Her hand was out in a defensive stance, as she waited for an oncoming attack. What was happening now? How did he recover from the blindness so quickly? Did this man have additional eyes, along with his additional arms and legs? This confused Atsui a bit, but she decided to just shrug it off and figure out later. The glass blade in her hand was still hot, sending a tingling feeling through her hand. Her hand glowed red with pain from the crudely made weapon, but she just suppressed it, hoping to finish up this fight, soon.

((I'm sorry for the long interval between this and my last post. I've been busy lately, but I'm back now. ))

"I'm not going to let you!", Shigairu groaned as his eye remained fixed on the, still slightly glowing, glass blade in the girls hand. Her techniques revolved around glass, obviously, and she was indeed likely to have a bloodline now. Killing her would be interesting, yet if he did he had to make sure he kept her body as intact as possible. He did not know what part of her body contained the bloodline used here, and thus he did not know what part of her body to spare. He had to be picky in how he killed her, prevent any damage to her corpse if he managed to do so. There would be no mighty techniques used from now on, a simple kunai-kill seemed the best for now.

To fufill his plan, Shigairu reached for his pouch and took out one of the sharp, metal kunai it contained. His hand firmly gripped the knifes heft, point facing downwards, and he slowly started moving into the girls direction, still carefully ballancing his body on the marbles. "Glass versus metal, lets see who wins this girl", he muttered as he started to speed up and got closer and closer to his opponent. Closer and closer, untill he reached the proper distance to launch an attack. "Die!", he roared as he rocketed his kunai towards the girls left side in an attempt to stab her. While doing so, he remained alert and ready for any counter the girl would make. She had her own custom weapon in her hand after all. There was no telling what horrors she would unleash with it.

Atsui stood and listened to what the man said, knowing he couldn't be telling the exact truth. She heard another kunai be removed from his pouch, then some more talking. She heard the light clutter of the marbles under the man's feet. Then the whistle of the knife through the air, speeding towards her, came. Atsui kicked her feet forward and pushed her momentum onward with them. She rolled across the marbles on the ground as she hoped the attack wouldn't come near her. Hope. That's all she has. Without sight, just hearing and touch. To sense stuff from far away, the best she can do is hope. Hope movements are correct, hope attacks hit, hope everything.

OOC: Uhh, has anyone seen Shigairu recently? I'm on the verge of leaving this site...
