David and Goliath (Private, Only Dae allowed. Dantes Last fight)

The air was calm and the sand dunes were beginning to end as trees came into sight for the ANBU man. He was no longer a jounin and yet he felt as if he could be doing more than sit around and listen to the bureaucratic bull shit that the Kazekage kept feeding him. What was necessary was the elimination of any and all threats and as soon as humanly possible so that the village could again prosper. Not long ago he had killed a missing ninja that had simply walked to the gates and killed a fellow Jounin. It became clear to him at that point that the village was not aware of what needed to be done and the Kazekage was sitting around with his thumb up his ass. The man gave a soft sigh as he finally entered the trees, he didn’t know how soon they would realize he was gone and it probably would be anytime soon as he could sense a presence nearby. Apparently the Kazekage had taken his threat to leave seriously and he had been monitored the last couple of days as he prepared to leave. It didn’t matter now and maybe the Jounin that was coming after him would listen to him and his reasoning, and if not, he would do whatever it takes to make sure he could leave for good. In this sense, he was now a rogue. His tiger had died recently of natural causes as well and it seemed like a sign to him that change was needed or else the things we love will die.

Dante walked forward further and further into the trees before he turned around to face his opponent that would be appearing soon. As he turned he unsheathed his 10ft zanbatou and placed it into the ground just beside him. The sun shone through the trees lightly leaving a large shadow spreading across his nine foot five hundred pound body. He breathed out lightly as he closed his eyes and waited letting the newly found breeze whip across the hair on his forehead. He would try to talk sense into the man and if he denied his logic, he would die.

The day was calm, the heat was suprisingly low, and on this day Kazuki sighed a silent, but annoyed sigh. Such a rare day in the village and he was stuck on boarder duty of all things. An important job yes, but very rarely did anything ever happen. He figured it would be a normal day, nothing eventful to mention or anything, he unfortunately, was extremely wrong. As he was overlooking the dunes outside the village, he saw a figure speeding across the dunes. He wasn't exactly sure what or who it was, but it originated from the village. It was not until one of the chunnin nearby suddenly started to freak out. "Dammit! That's Dante! He's making a break for it!". Kazuki's head started to quickly jump between the chunnin and the figure charging in the distance. Remembering the recent order of the Kazekage to not allow Dante to leave the village as he is under suspect for betrayal. He had to get close to the chunnin to ensure he would hear his voice, he could shout the order but then would instantly lose his voice afterwards. "Alert the Kazekage immediately, get a squad of hunter-nin together as fast as possible, I'm going in pursuit". He spoke with one drawn out sentence, no breaks and all done in one breath. So the end was definately rushed but the chunnin got the message clearly as he nodded and leaped away. He then turned to the steep cliffside and without a moment of hesitation, leaped down. Landing on the edges of jutting rocks, he swiftly made his way to the ground. Dante had a large lead on him, but Kazuki was confident he could catch him before he got too far. And with that, he sped off in pursuit.

The chase lasted a good amount of time and eventually a treeline began to come into view. This wasn't god, the boarder was near, Kazuki had to stop him now but as he crossed the final dune, he was suprised to see Dante staring back at him. Kazuki hit the ground and began to slowly approach, cautious for any sudden attacks.

Dante grinned a bit as he saw the either brave or stupid Jounin approach him. He looked at the man cautiously and removed his glasses and tossed them to the ground before he crossed his arms again as he looked down at the man. And tapped his foot lightly on the ground which made a small crack in the ground extend out and make a line in front of the Jounin.

“Stop there…any further movement forward and I will take it as a threat. I do not wish to hurt you I only wish to talk as it seems we have a little less than a half an hour before the others locate me as well. Undoubtedly you have been told by the Kazekage to keep me within the village for suspicion of betrayal…but it is in fact the contrary. You see I am leaving to kill off as many missing ninja and Akatsuki as I can because the Kazekage is too timid to do anything about the problem. I watched a man die 3 days ago at the village gates by a missing ninja all because the guards were off playing shogi somewhere. There are many things I hate about the village but not the village itself or its people. I hate all the bureaucracy and the nonsense bull shit orders the Kazekage gives us and makes us seem weak and makes the enemies see we are easy to walk upon. Truly you see it too, we are doing ‘nothing’ to help our country than sit around on our asses. I know you haven’t done anything because you’re a jounin. I am ANBU and yet I remain inside the village to twiddle my thumbs in boredom and grind my teeth is disgust. I am leaving to make a change and if you don’t agree with me then just try and bring me back to the village but I warn you now in doing so will only lead to pain.”

Kazuki merely lowered his head, he knew deep down what Dante was saying was the truth. There were many dangerous ninja out there who posed a threat to all the villages, not just Suna. But, what Dante was doing, it was the wrong way. To leave everything to go and hunt down other ninja, that wasn't the right way. He understood the man's viewpoint, it had crossed his mind several times but... If Dante was annoyed with the beaurocracy, this was the wrong way of handling it. If he were to leave then, he could never return, even if he was successful in his impossible task, what would be left for him, he would be hunted down like the victims he would leave in his wake. He looked back up to the man, speaking louder than he usually found comfortable due to the distance between them. "If you hate the way the village is run then change it yourself don't run away". He spoke in one sentence, no breaks in it and all with a single breath. His air running out near the end. He felt a slight twinge appear in the back of his throat, similar to when a piece of food gets caught and you try to cough it back up. He took a moment to gather his breath before speaking again. "This is the wrong way to do things come back and we can still fix this".

“If I went back now I would be locked in a cell, interrogated, and remain to live in that cell. You know it as well as I do. The Kazekage sees this as betrayal and betrayal isn’t allowed in our village, you also know that. What you don’t understand is how deep the shit hole stinks with its politics, because you are only a Jounin so far. So my choices are to either go with you and live in a cage for the rest of my life or turn my back on you and go kill those who need be killed and make this village and the rest of the world a better place. Which would you choose?” Dante stated then turned around and grabbed his zanbatou and began to walk away from the jounin. He was still sensing the man knowing when exactly he will literally cross that line and upon doing so the fight would begin, he was short on time and needed to end the conversation quick and if necessary end the Jounin just as quickly. He placed his zanbatou in the sheath on his back and continued to walk away his dark black eyes staring forward. He kept his headband on, he was still representing his village and didn’t want to forget that.

The man turned, sheathing his weapon and began to leave. Kazuki merely watched on for a moment, his hands gripped in tight fists. He couldn't just let Dante leave like this. He had to try everything he could to bring him back, the Kazekage was strict but wasn't beyond reason. He could still be convinced and allow Dante to keep his freedoms. This would be the last word Kazuki would be able to speak, since it would completely destroy his throat for the next few days. He took a step forward over the 'line' designated by Dante earlier, taking in a massive breath and at the top of his lungs, he let out a massive yell. A small amount of blood spitting from his mouth as he did so.

"STOP!!"

Dante didn’t turn around to know the man had crossed the line as he had predicted. He gritted his teeth making himself hate the man for trying to stop him and his goal. In a matter of a second his chain was summoned from his right arm and then straightened to its full 20ft length before it was hurled at the man with extreme speed. In that moment he shunshined and charged the man going to the Jounin’s slight left with his zanbatou drawn and within a matter of another second he slashed at this opponent with the full force of his 10ft long 1000lb sword. He would try to end this man quickly before his back up arrived and he already knew he was running lower and lower on the time needed to complete this battle. As he swung his zanbatou he let out a blood curdling scream of anger that shook the trees themselves.

The massive chain sped towards Kazuki at a tremendous speed, the links looked to be thicker than his arm. He did not have much time to react before it would hit him, and that was when Dante was suddenly to his side, his massive blade swinging towards his left while the chain was dead set on him. There was only one opening, reacting as quickly as he possibly could, Kazuki threw himself to the right. Tucking in his arms, he landed on his shoulder. Feeling a strong breeze from the passing blade overhead, he threw his free arm up and behind his head, catching him in the roll, he quickly threw his other arm parallel to the first. Coupled with the momentum from the roll, he pulled his legs close, his knees just past his chin. His body leaned back, the blade passing overhead and leaving Dante open for but a moment. Which Kazuki took, pushing off from the ground, his legs extended in a mighty dropkick aimed at the bottom of Dante's chin. From there, after the blow he would flip backwards to his feet, but midway, he would unleash five kunai.

Dante almost smiled, the man had avoided that attack even if it was just slightly. The chain continued on and hit a tree and went straight through it and into the ground on the other side. Upon getting kicked in the chin Dante realized he couldn't take the man lightly. The kick itself didn't do any real damage other than an attempt to distract him from the kunai that were appoaching. Dante stood there as the five kunai all hit; 2 to the chest 1 in the leg, 1 in the shoulder, and the last one he had caught in his hand.

“Very good, that was impressive reaction time. You may have been a good fighter some day, shame.” Dante said as his muscles began to bulge and grow as he increased his power by 25% hence beginning the first stage of his transformations. Now he would be even faster and stronger than before. He then charged at the man without his sword and he began to move so fast that it appeared as 6 of them were coming at him as if it was a frame by frame attack. Once he was close and slightly to his opponents right side he sent a quick side kick toward the man ribs, if it landed it wouldn’t be a lethal attack as his leg techniques were not as strong as his upper body.

Kazuki could not do much but watch and listen as Dante spoke. Immediately after, his body increased in size and he charged forth. Several versions of him appearing as he ran. Kazuki could immediately tell they were but optical illusions and was already tracking the movements of the real Dante. When he came with the kick, Kazuki was ready, stepping into the kick as Dante began extending his leg, Kazuki maneuvered his way behind his opponent and taking the opening, he reached behind him and gripped his sword's hilt. The cloth covering it falling softly to the ground. Kazuki then brought down his blade in a powerful overhead slash scross Dante's back.

‘How foolish of me…I know better than to attack using kicks, gives away my balance too much.’ Dante thought as he felt the slight scrape on his back from the sword, when in reality it was a gash. He grinned again as he instantly summoned his shield on his left forearm and spun opposite the way his opponent was facing. The blunt side was up and he would hit the opponent square with the 5ft long in diameter shield. His opponent if hit would end of flying and if he was hit then he would follow it up by throwing his shield at his opponent like a shuriken using its razor sharp edges to try and kill his opponent. While this was happening he quickly increased his power to 50% making himself now even faster than the jounin in front of him.

When his blade connected with Dante's back, Kazuki immeidately noticed that what should have been a nearly fatal blow was barely able to penetratethe flesh of his opponent. He would definately feel it, but would barely be hindered in the least. After the attack though, he felt Dante launch his attack, a large item had suddenly appeared and swung towards his back with deadly force. He wouldn't be able to dodge this but he did have a means of defending. The cloth that had fallen to the ground then sprung to life, leaping into the air and crossing several times over, creating a quick shield. It then hardened and took the blow from the shield. The force was too much for the robe to hold back, seeing as it had not had enough time to fully brace itself, it partially buckled under the force. Sending Kazuki flying in the process. A moment after he was sent airborne, the same object was thrown at him, spinning like a disk. The feeling that this would be worse than the blow he had already suffered. The robe, once again springing to life, shot out immediately left of Kazuki and pulled tight. Changing Kazuki's trajectory and allowing him to avoid the blow. He landed on his feet and pulled the robe from the ground, having it freefloat around himself for a 360 degree shield. When he was ready to continue, he saw the man buff up even further. This was just getting harder and harder.

As the shield missed its target Dante readied himself and began to launch multiple open hand attacks at seemingly nobody but all directed towards his opponent. He was thrusting his arms forward with all his strength and as fast as he could sending a literal barrage of invisible air waves the size and shape of a basketball each with enough force to throw his opponent backwards if they hit. Only 2 seconds after starting he had let go nearly 50 of them all in the general direction of his opponent as well as above and below to keep him unsettled. Dante gritted his teeth hard and harder as a plume of dirt dust kicked in the air in front of him at the end of his attack and made the opponent virtually useable. Time was running out for him and he knew it, this fight would get more and more intense quickly to make sure he was gone by the time the backup squads had arrived.

Description: Any member of the Shikyo clan when transformed can make waves of air to send at an opponent by putting force behind an open hand attack. This force generates wind in the direction of the attack and can potentially send an opponent flying. However this is not an elemental attack and as such no damage will be caused by the air itself like cutting.

As Dante turned, he made an odd movement, throwing a punch dispite the distance between them. For a moment, Kazuki was puzzled by the action but the reality of what happened soon dawned on him. It was extremely faint, but something was moving towards him fast, and it was big. He couldn't see what it was but had to react fast. Dante was already throwing more punches at an astonishing rate, his speed had increased again. Kazuki quickly commanded his robe to form a shield. So in response, the robe moved infront of himself, taking a spiral formation and closing the openings, it then moved the center into more of a point while the rest of the shield moved back. This gave the shield a more aerodynamic shape and would reduce damage from whatever was coming. The force of them however, was great and it sounded like massive hailstones bashing off a tin roof as they collided with the shield. While the robe was able to hold, there were times where Kazuki was worried as the entire time, he could feel the breeze of air shooting through the robe. When the assult finally ended, Kazuki moved fast, making several handsigns a breeze of wind began to circle him and he returned the robe to its original position of freefloating. This was not looking good. Not only did Dante get stronger with each bulk up, but his speed jumped as well.

After he had quickly recovered his sword using the after image as bait he began to attack the jounin again slashing with his sword than shunshining to create after images as he began to attack from close range. He wielded his giant sword as if it was a simply katana and continued a barrage of slashes aiming all over. He was still focused on a quick kill as he knew his time was running out more and more the fight progressed. He was trying to pin the man and corner and end him, he didn’t care how, he just had to stop this now. His opponent was elusive as al hell but soon he would slow him down and beat him till he died.

Dante had grabbed hold of his blade once again. He began a movement and a moment later, Kazuki sensed the powerful presence behind him. "DAMN!" He thought as he leaped forward, if it wasn't for the increased speed from his last jutsu, he would not have escaped that attack. However, Dante was now hot on his tail, slashing ferociously. Kazuki would not be able to outrun him on the ground, leaving only one option for a safe escape. On his next leap forward, his foot did not touch the ground, the next he found himself launched skyward. Immediately after this second jump, he flashed a handsign and a copy of himself appeared, falling to the ground and darting off to the right. he proceeded up by leaping off the air as he normally would the sides of buildings. Once he felt he was a safe distance, about 70 meters high, his robe moved beneath his feet and stiffened in place. Landing upon it, he was now suspended in the air.

"This is not good, he is only getting stronger the more time passes. I can't hold back anymore". He closed his eyes and began to focus and clear his mind.

Dante landed the attack on the clone, knowing full well what it was but not caring as the blade minced the kage bunshin. He could sense life energy and while shadow clones had chakra to mimic real life they were indeed nothing but smoke and mirrors. He was over this now he focused the rest of his power so that he was now at 100% strength. His skin darkened a bit as his muscle mass increased immensely and small particles of dirt began to rise from the ground around him. Dante closed his eyes and took a single step and now appeared in the air above the Jounin in a freakish amount of time as he came slicing down again with this sword. He let out another yell as he attacked and then followed it up with another barrage of open hand attacks to send air waves at his opponent.

As Dante's blade came slashing down towards him, Kazuki's eyes flashed open. However they appeared completely blank as if no light reflected into them and with a quick, almost lazy movement, he angled his body and pulled out one foot, kicking it out to the side. The blade just passing his body. He then leaned in the direction of the foot that was dangling in midair, allowing his body to go into a freefall. As he fell, his hands moved at a blinding speed that even Dante would likely be unable to keep up with. However he would not be focused on that as he unleashed another barrage of punches. Seeming as to pay them no mind though, Kazuki continued his handsigns, however the robe itself sprang to life and with blinding speed and accuracy, began cutting through and blocking the blasts of air fired at him. From Dante's point of view, it would look to be a wild flailing tentacle but it would not let a single blast past.

As Kazuki neared the ground, his handsigns ceased and he flipped so his feet were aimed toward the ground and under his feet, the robe coiled like a spring and cushioned his fall. The robe then went back to the defensive stance and immediately, electricity began sparking from Kazuki's body. This was the final round.

Dante gritted his teeth again as he noticed the man had maneuvered out of his attack no doubt to whatever new abilities he had just activated that made the man even more maneuverable. Dante didn’t waste any time in his next move as he flipped upright than swung his sword again as hard as he could generating momentum before kicking off his sword. He charged chakra into his fist as well as he came down so fast that it would be invisible to virtually anyone. He aimed his fist down at the man looking to punch a hole through his entire body and bury him in a single attack. He didn’t know why he had started out toying with the Jounin when he could have easily disposed of him sooner, and now he had to make up for lost ground. The other shinobi would be here soon and he knew he would be cutting it close.

With Dante streaking towards Kazuki like a bullet, if he did not react fast, there wouldn't be anything left of him to fill an urn. The moment he sensed the massive enemy enter his territory, Kazuki leaped back, diagonally into the air, the robe coming with him. Flipping as he did so, about midway through the jump, Kazuki pulled his legs close to his body while the robe sped behind him and made a platform, which he then used as a launchpad. Firing Kazuki horizontally through the air, he would pass overtop of Dante as he landed. During the overpass, Kazuki's sword flashed with light and released three clones of itself. These would immediately bolt towards Dante's open back. If he were to dodge, they would immediately move into pursuit and attack at multiple angles. If he would try to block, they would immediately move directly backwards as they are not hampered by momentum or gravity. Kazuki himself would land on his robe again and begin to literally surf on the air and circle Dante.

Spoiler:

As Dante approached the ground and became within a foot of it he realized his attack had missed its target. The fist however plowed into the ground and all the chakra in it literally caused the ground to explode sending dirt flying in the air making a large mushroom cloud. The ground had caved in and a fissure had been made as well making the surrounding 500ft nothing but rubble but within 200ft was a large crater going down nearly 50ft. Dante quickly summoned his shield fearing a counter attack and shield covered his entire back once he had moved it into position. At this point Date launched himself back in the air and summoned his chain yet again and tossed it at his opponent the same way he had done before but this time it was even faster.

As he and the chain approached Dante made a bunshin that appeared just above his opponent making it seem as if it was coming down with a vertical sword slash. Though it was a normal bunshin the opponent would hopefully be thrown off considering the opponent would not be looking down at him with the cap directly underneath him. Either way the opponent dodged he would simply summon his chain again and impale the opponent. This was the end of the fight.

The swords sped towards their target who quickly brought forth a shield on his back. The middle sword was unable to avoid the shield and vanished upon contact, the other two swords then retreated, one circling around to attack again while the other immediately shot at a clone that had appeared above Kazuki. He then began to turn to attack Dante again when the chain launched by his enemy gored him through the abdoment. The steel robe he had hidden underneath his clothing was unable to protect from the blow. Blood spurted from the wound and Kazuki instantly fell limp, having lost control of his lower body, he began to fall towards the ground. He looked over to his opponent and as their eyes met, a final burst of strength came across him. Tightening the robe around his body, he was able to force his limbs to move. Flipping himself back up and the robe falling under him, he charged forth directly at Dante. His blade held out ready to stab him through the heart. The two blades now coming in for a flanking attack, he would unleash a final jutsu to finish him.

As he came within striking distance, he thrusted forth with everything he had. His blade shooting towards the enemy's throat while the Afterimage Blades would strike through the collar bone and attempt to puncture the lungs. The coup de grace to this attack though, was the instant Kazuki thrusted his blade, five copies of himself appeared, all stabbing forth. Their aim at the back of the neck and various parts in the abdomen. This was his final attack.

Dante grinned as the chain pierced through his opponent, now he could get going and finish his escape. He was just getting ready to take off when he noticed a trail of blood escaping from below his chin. He trailed his hand across his throat and looked at the blood on his hand. Another thing he just realized was how long he had been using his power boost. His entire body stiffened so he couldn’t move at all as he began to fall to the ground. The blood stopped flowing and his body literally disintegrated before his body hit the ground. A large cloud of dust trailed off and caught into the wind and began to trail off toward the distant trees.

Removing his blade from Dante's throat, the clones and blades vanished. His eyes regaining their colour as he spat up a large clump of blood. The robe loosened itself and Kazuki fell to the sand dune below. Looking up at the sky as his vision blurred, all he could think was "What a shitty day" as everything fell to black.
