It was a bright sunny day, with practically no clouds drifting in the blue sky, the Sun’s rays free to shine with their full glare at the busy people walking around on the streets of Konoha. It was lunchtime at the moment; many people were heading home for a bite or heading towards restaurants. Kazuto, on the other hand, was not, as they say, “following the crowd”. He was headed for the Training Grounds, on a bright sunny day like this would practically no chance of rain was perfect for training the latest jutsu he had come up with. Ashe entered the Training Grounds, he looked around for a good spot for his first jutsu, and found it easily. A large circular patch of grass-less area, roughly 15ft in diameter. Walking over to it, he stopped and bent over, grabbing one of the black bottles strapped on his legs. Straightening up, he popped the lid open with a flick of his thumb and turned the bottle upside down, emptying it of its contents. Blackish-brown oil poured from the bottle, and Kazuto shifted the bottle around so that the oil was in a straight line. Replacing the bottle on his leg, he reached into his kunai pouch and extracted a matchbox, form which he took a matchstick and lit it. He tossed it into the oil, and immediately, the oil caught on fire, forming a wall of fire 2ft tall. Kazuto turned around so that his back was to the wall of fire, then performed Kage Mane no Jutsu to see the effect of the fire wall. He stretched his shadow to its maximum length, and to his pleasure, he saw that the shadow’s length had doubled. Kazuto stopped stretching his shadow and walked away from the wall of fire, letting it burn down itself.
Next up was Kage Ude no Jutsu. Getting into position, Kazuto formed three handsigns and concentrated on making his shadow climb up his body and to his arms, it did so, and soon his arms were covered in his shadow. Pulling his arms back, he thrust them forward, and from his arms the shadow shot forward in the shape of two clawed hands. Moving his hands, he made the shadows turn left and right, go in zigzag, even do loop-de-loops. The final part of this move, he targeted an Academy Student walking through the Training Grounds, and aiming at him, he moved his Shadow Arms at the boy. The Arms wrapped around him as he gave a yelp of fear, but Kazuto simply ignored him and watched as his Shadow Arms joined with the boys shadow, connecting their shadows together. Kazuto grinned in pleasure and dispel the technique, and the boy ran away from him in fear. Kazuto was happy at the result, but he still had one more jutsu to practice.
Looking around, he noticed a rock that would be good enough. Standing in front of it, he placed his hands against the ground and sent a burst of chakra into it towards the boulder. The ground beneath the boulder crumpled and fell away, and the boulder disappeared from view as it plummeted into the pit Kazuto had made. He heard a loud sound as the boulder hit the bottom, and walked over to the edge of the pit, examining the result. The pit was 10 ft deep and 8ft across, and at the bottom the boulder lay in broken pieces. Kazuto dusted his hands, pleased with is day’s work. As he stood there, eh heard his stomach rumble, and decided to call it a day. Quickly, he left the Training Grounds heading for a bite.
