Kazuto could be seen in the Training Area, where he had planned to train a new jutsu he had come up with: Gusoku no Tsuchi. If he mastered it, it would give him a helpful advantage against his opponent defense-wise. But it all hung on him mastering it. It was a bright sunny day, with a few clouds in the robin’s egg sky. A light, cool breeze was blowing form the west of the village, making it the perfect day to train or just laze around. Kazuto was more inclined to do the latter, but he knew that he could not enjoy himself until he finished his training. After a few squats, followed by a few push-ups then a run around the Training Area’s perimeter, Kazuto decided to begin practicing the jutsu. Spreading his feet a little, he raised his foot and slammed it onto the ground, sending a burst of chakra into the ground as he did so. Nothing happened, and Kazuto assumed that he must have sent an insufficient amount of chakra into the earth. Once more, he slammed his foot on the ground, sending less chakra this time, but nothing happened. The third time, he sent more chakra inside the earth, and to his pleasure, the earth around him rose up and covered his whole skin in 2 inch thick, hardened earth. Kazuto tried running around with the armor on, and discovered that his speed had been greatly reduced. He wasn’t worried, however, since he knew that his defense would make up for his speed.
