A Walk Into Insanity...-private-

The day was young and the wind was calm. Only the sounds of nature could be heard from the winds light breeze to the song birds chirping happily the rhythmic fashion. The air was churning through the land as it progressed its way through the trees and out into the open field in which the grass swayed. Time almost seemed nonexistent as the peace and serenity plagued the land making one never want to leave its presence. The sun was almost directly above and granted the earth with no shadows of anyone presence. Yet somewhere in this fairytale of a scene were three missing civilians from the Wind Country. Haeichi had been specifically assigned the mission in seeking them out for his abilities to see things others don’t. Now he was nearing the boarders of Rain in his attempt to figure out whether or not the civilians were ok.

The scent in the air was the scent of a madman the scent of a gas so distinguishable he had been tracking it for hundreds of miles and now it was getting more and more potent. Obviously he was nearing the kidnapper or the civilians and he was preparing himself mentally for a fight. The thing he was still trying to figure out was, why Rain? Was the man just from the Rain country or did the village serve a higher purpose. ‘Oh well’ he thought and pushed forward as he made his way toward the end of the clearing to where the forest began again. It was then he heard a faint sound of laughing and jumping as he came closer and closer to the trees, he drew his kunai instinctively as he continued moving forward cautiously. A bad feeling suddenly washed over him as he recalled reports of a Jokester out in the woods.

“OOOO OOOO Here he comes! Here he comes to save the day! Good for you! Right ol’chap?” The Joker said hyper as always as he held the man’s chin up and suddenly forced it to one said with a sort of passive aggression. Everything was for a reason and everything was going as planned. The perfect game for the right kind of insanity. The Joker stepped forward in front of the three civilians and stood there waving toward the ninja that was approaching him, even though he knew the man was blind; a sense of humor only he could truly enjoy. The three captured civilians were all behind them each tied to a tree securely with wire and rope, each of them having a joker card sticking out of their forehead so that blood was dripping down their face and onto the ground slowly. It was obviously a fresh wound as the blood has not dried as of yet.

“Haeichi! Yes, HAHAHAHA, I knew those stupid bastards would send you! Hooray! I’ve already won, I’m fighting a cripple, now ‘that’s’ the joke!” The Joker laughed as he leaned against one of the captured men and elbowed at the mans stomach softly as if he asking if he got the joke. Than almost as if the joke became instantly a buzz kill he glared at Haeichi. “So this is how it’s going to work Mr. Blind Guy. You will have twenty four minutes to try and stop me from killing all three of these insignificant workers….buuuuuut as always there is a catch.” The Joker said making a size measurement with his finger and thumb. “Just a little catch, Every eight minutes one of those cards will explode and send one of them on a one way ticket to the spirit world, first class because I send a lot of work Gods way. So your goal is to try and stop me as quickly as you can, but to keep things even more fun, I promise not to kill you till just two seconds after the last person dies, Savvy!”

Haeichi used the wind to his advantage letting him see exactly what he was up against. The annoying bastard was right, he couldn’t see and it looked as though he had fallen right into the sick mans trap. He gave a soft sigh as he tried to think exactly what it was he was going to do, though it eluded him. This is what the man wanted, the man had wanted him to get worked up and make bad decisions. He had eight minutes to kill the man, a task that would prove impossible in any battle against two great shinobi. There it was again, now the man was making him doubt himself and his abilities. ‘Shit’ he thought as he brought the kunai up chin level and tossed it at the man making sure to be as accurate as he possibly could. His best shot was to get close and he was still a good 100ft away from the man.

Haeichi let the man speak, ignoring his insults as he sped forward toward the man with everything he had. Eight minutes may be just long enough if he could dictate the fighting on his terms, if not the three men strapped to the trees would never be able to go home to their families again or ever see their children grow up. This was something he couldn’t allow himself to accept, he would kill this man, not just for the three workers families but for everyone he had killed in the past. He gave a loud battle cry as he approached even closer to the man now. Thirty seconds, already gone.

The Joker laughed as he watched the man stand their trying to contemplate his next move. This would be too easy if the man was just going to sit around and do nothing. He continued to laugh as he looked back at one of the workers and back toward Haeichi when he realized there was a kunai screaming for his head. He quickly ducked, using his right hand and placing it on top of his hat to make sure the hat stayed on. “WHAT ARE YOU BLIND?! YOU ALMOST KILLED BOB!” The Joker said with a serious tone though inside he laughed even harder. The kunai had only just kissed and the feather that was attached to the top of his hat was now cut in half and the kunai was now sticking out of one of the trees mere inches from the workers skull.

The Joker happily leapt forward into the fight summoning his Mechanical Arrow Shooter and loading it with a drum of explosive bolts and began to fire at Haeichi. Each bolt was made from two explosive notes and had the speed to make a bolt fly every second. The Joker began to laugh as he watched Haeichi begin jumping and dodging the large explosions. “One blind rat, one blind rat, see how he runs, see how he dies!” He sang to himself happily.

“…And what are you insane or retarded?” Haeichi said responding back to the man’s insult at him being blind. Haeichi paused for a moment as he sensed the weapon being aimed at him using the wind and he could clearly understand that whatever it was wasn’t good. Haeichi waited till the first bolt was launched and leaped back as the explosion erupted over the dirt and kicked more dirt into the air with the massive ball of fire. Just when he thought it was over with he dodged another bolt that narrowly missed his skull and exploded behind him. Apparently the weapon had a lot more ammo and could shoot faster than he had thought. By this time he began sprinting again dodging the bolts as they came flying at him and the heat of the fire dragging across his body with each narrow miss.

Haeichi knew time wasn’t on his side and that he couldn’t just sit around dodging the entire time. With that in mind he continued to push forward through the fire and grass shrapnel. Haeichi forced his palm forward and sent a huge wind shockwave toward the man to either disrupt the attack or knock the mechanical arrow shooter from his hands. 3 Minutes, gone.

“Oh ‘real’ mature Mr. Super Cripple!” The Joker said actually offended by the man’s words as he continued to fire the explosive bolts from his mechanical shooter. Though it was a very serious fight the Joker was having an exuberant amount of fun on the inside; he just needed to focus on the deadliness of his opponent. As he looked over to face the man again he caught the sight of the wind shockwave that was nearly a foot from him already. “Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!” He said as the wind concussive wave hit him and sent him flying back over the trees with an extreme amount of force till he was out of sight. He had not expected such an attack and was surprised at just how good the man’s aim was for being blind. It didn’t do nearly as much thankfully no cutting damage but he was still flying through the air and he couldn’t help but laugh as he opened up his umbrella.

This was his chance now with only three minutes to go he could free them all. Haeichi bolted forward dodging the small craters from all the previous explosions. He was surprised that the man had failed to dodge; perhaps the man was all talk and really couldn’t fight to save his life. Haeichi made it to the first guy and pulled the card from the man’s head and threw the card as far away as he could. He then took out another kunai and began to untie the man and that’s when he realized something was seriously wrong. The man was already dead; the wrapping that was holding the man to the tree was also holding the man’s guts from spilling out and now they were spilling out.

Haeichi had been a medic for some time now and still had the urge to throw up as he backed away gagging slightly at the smell and the sound the intestines made as they fell to the floor. He composed himself as he went to the next man and cut the man’s ties loose and the same thing happened again except it wasn’t the guts this time but the man’s entire torso fell from the head while the head remained on the tree. He held himself together again as he moved to the third guy and began to undo the restraints.

A strong amount of laughing came from the woods as the Joker began to fly from his umbrella and right over top of Haeichi knowing full well the surprise would catch him off guard as he dropped down two of his Laughing Gas grenades. “Booooooooombs Awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!” The Joker said as the two gas grenades landed directly in front of Haeichi and plagued his mind now. He Joker pointed his finger at the card in the last man’s head and the card exploded violently sending the blood and brain matter from the dead man’s skull onto Haeichi as the force of the bomb threw Haeichi backwards a good ten feet. “BOOM BABY! HAHAHAHAHA! God I love that shit!” The Joker said laughing as he repelled himself down from his umbrella next to Haeichi and began to pummel the man’s face in with his boot. He looked down at Haeichi who had a huge smile on his face but he still seemed to be blocking out the laughing part of the poison perhaps it was because he was so used to dealing with poisons. The Joker looked down at him as he grabbed a stick and began to poke the man’s cheek making sure if he was dead or not.

His ears were ringing incredibly bad and still he couldn’t figure out what was going on as he laid on the ground extremely disoriented with the inability to control the smile he had on his face. Memories filled his mind of times when his friends and families died. He would have guessed them to be hallucinations if he wasn’t blind. As he tried to fight back a sudden rage of laughter he felt his face being kicked and a popping sound from his nose being broken. His ears almost at once returned to him as he exhaled with a laugh and grabbed the Joker by the arm and sent a wave of electricity into him which would mess up his nervous system.

It would only buy him time though as he tried to stand up but found his body weak from the simple explosion as he began laughing uncontrollably. He tried to walk as he oriented himself still laughing at nothing and laughing so hard his muscles tensed up as he made his way to the Joker a kunai in his hand and ready to stab the life out of the maniac.

The Joker was caught by surprise and fell onto his back shaking as he tried to move but some other body part would move instead. He laughed as he tried to figure out what to do and at the time laughed as he saw the blind man stumbling around laughing so hard he could barely walk straight. Joker focused his chakra and looked up at the man as he tried to use his own ration chakra to regulate his nerves again. As the man approached with the kunai 10 bomb s appeared in front of Haeichi causing him to stop instantly in his tracks. The bombs were invisible and Joker looked puzzled hoping he would run into them. One the other hand this was his chance as he made the bombs surround Haeichi.

He finally got his ration chakra to balance out as he made one by one each baseball sized bomb drill into the blind guy. “Time to show you just how explosive my humor is, by letting you suffer through your final moments on earth.” The Joker said as on bomb went straight into Haeichi’s kneecap where the condensed explosion caused the kneecap to shatter and soon a second bomb went into the other kneecap as well making the man buckle and fall to the ground. He then took his other eight bombs and began to send to them to various points like the ribs, stomach, legs, chest, and shoulders; making blood fly out in waves after each devastating bomb strike.

Haeichi had now stopped his laughing and it was replaced by horrific screaming that would follow each of the explosions. His clothes were now stained with enough blood that his clothes were a completely different color. However he wouldn’t simply let the man bleed to death while he could still feel pain. Joker pulled the man up off the ground his body limp and worn out. Haeichi was now powerless as the Joker charged a bomb on the end of his fist and punched him in the face which sent blood flying all over the Jokers face and sent the blind man into a tree killing him.

The Joker happily skipped and danced his way over to the new corpse and grabbed the headband and his famous eye wrap as a trophy. He placed the corpse handing from the tree by a wire and stuck a Joker card in the man’s caved in bloody face and headed toward rain to meet his new boss.
