Blooming of Aloris Flowers [Mr. K][Closed]

It was a glorious day that evening, the sunlight ripped threw the clouds like a kunai threw paper. The clouds were whiter then snow as well, usually they would have a reddish lining due to the sunset light, but now they weren't. The bright sun which shined above the forest area seemed eternal to the eyes of man. So far away yet so powerful, it was ironic, yet poetic. The fresh green forest sprung life as if it were eternal. Birds, rabbits and other wildlife did their natural routine in their habitat, from singing in the nests to scurrying across the field. The scent of the forest was a sweet aroma that could give peace to the wildest of minds. The rare Aloris flowers bloomed that month, and patches of them were scattered across the forest. They represented war and death, which was ironic due to the occasion. But with immense beauty comes brutal death, as we will witness today.

Takira stood in at the trunk of a large oak tree, leaning against its tough bark. With one hand in her pocket and one foot over the other, she appeared to be in a relaxed state. The brown thick bark which she leaned against started to chip due to her weight, but she was sure it wouldn't fully break. Her black silk like her was wrapped in a pony tail that day, rarely does she ever style her hair in any way other then naturally flat. If you asked Takira why she did that she couldn't give you a answer, other then a smart remark. Besides the pony tail, long strips of hair flowed down the front part of her face similar to bangs. They looked like waterfalls of darkness, trickling down into the face of a innocent maiden. As for her outfit she wore her natural gear as usual. Consisting of a fishnet shirt which came down to her thighs, and a black robe a little bit shorter then the fishnet undershirt. The Uchiha symbol was on the back of the robe, showing that she was a member of the powerful clan known as the Uchiha. Her weapons inside the pockets of these robs ticked as her hips swayed slightly with every movement. Takira looked up into the sky, and counted the clouds.

Why was she out there you may ask? It turns out that she has been called to a fight by a mysterious person. Not much is known, but Takira refuses to turn down a fight from anyone, and anywhere. She was like that all the time, always wanting to prove her strength no matter what. From the distance she heard movement in the bushes, she began to become startled by the adrenalin. Probably a rabbit, she used that as a sign to prepare herself. Surrounded by trees and bushes anything could happen, but whatever she would be prepared for it. Leaning off the tree she did a few handsigns. "Genjutsu: Camouflage!" With that she placed a Genjutsu on herself to render herself invisible. Her opponent will not be able to see her, possibly giving her the upper hand.

Misreading signs of an attack could be exceedingly dangerous. The Uchiha had already done just that. The sound of rustling had been caused by the ya, or arrow as it speed through the bush towards it's target. Arrows could be rather hard to see in flight when coming directly at you, appearing as little more then a point that was hard to track until it was very close. Of course by then it would be too late to realize what it was and get out of the way. The addition of shooting through cover made the attack harder then usual to predict. There would be less then a second's time from when the arrow tip left the bush till it was at it's target. And in that time the Uchiha instead decided to try and use genjutsu instead of trying to clear out of the way of an attack.

It was a mistake many ninja made. They only used thrown weapons which couldn't fly nearly the distance of an arrow, and as such didn't expect an attack from a long distance away. Most ninjutsu didn't go farther then twenty meters. His bow could shoot a small group at fifty meters and could strike from as far away as one hundred meters. Thus the huge advantage of the simple yari bow over a flashy ninjutsu technique. This situation couldn't have taken better advantage of his weapons properties. A small, hard to spot, attack made from a significant distance. It made everything that the idiot of an Uchiha did useless. Being far out of range her genjutsu simply had no effect, not that it would have mattered even if it did.

A genin stupid enough to show up for a fight with another ninja they knew nothing about was as good as dead. He could have been a missing ninja. It was lucky for her that she only got him and not a more skilled shinobi. As it stood she didn't have much of a chance of winning anyways. He'd be surprised if she was able to survive the first surprise he had hid on the shaft of the arrow itself. Just behind the tip was fastened a black cloth a few inches long. It was wrapped around the shaft, perhaps to cover something. It was a weapon he had never shown another shinobi before, a unique trick up his sleeve that would be debuted today.

The arrow was aimed at the center of her chest, giving the best chance for a hit. Even if she tried to move out of the way she would have a hard time not being hit, even if just in the side. Ken himself stood back at fourty meters away, putting himself well within accurate range of the bow. He'd be hard to spot, various bushes and trees obscuring his location. After the shot was fired he'd pull back behind the tree he was using for cover. Meanwhile his brain was counting down. He knew the range to the target and the time it would take for the arrow to get there. He formed his hand into an activation seal, sending out a surge of chakra right as it should be entering the target. The trick under the cloth was an explosive tag, which now made the attack instantly deadly. Dodging the arrow wasn't enough. Taking the hit would mean the arrow exploded inside her, which could be instantly lethal. A near miss mean that the explosion would launch out a good two meters in every direction, sending chunks of sharp wood splintering out as shrapnel even farther. She would have to dodge at least ten feet in order to possibly clear the explosive effect, possibly farther.

In the meanwhile Ken loaded up another explosive arrow onto the bow string, preparing to make another shot if necessary. He doubted he'd need to.

Name: Exploding Arrows
Appearance: Exploding arrows are simply any arrow or bolt with an explosive tag wrapped and bound tightly to the shaft. This takes some time to prepare, but is an easy alteration to make with a bit of practice. The user may choose where on the shaft to bind the tag to for different effects. Typically it is bound directly behind the arrowhead in hopes of actually getting the tag inside a target before activation.

Special Abilities: These are normal arrows or bolts with an explosive tag on it. When activated the tag will explode, breaking the arrow into shrapnel. These are used in the same way one would use a kunai with an explosive tag when thrown. These have a much greater range and accuracy then a typical thrown kunai though. As a bonus if you can shoot into a person, thus lodging the tag inside them, you are certain to blow off a chunk of their body and it is rare that this isn't lethal. Overall a simple, yet devastating alteration to any arrow or bolt.

Description: The user will activate an explosion tag. Normally, the tag will be placed by them, so they know where it is and can easily activate it.

A moment after she placed the Genjutsu on herself Takira instantly focused on the elements around her. The sound from the bushes a 10 meters in front of her was a warning sign. The camouflage technique allowed her to use techniques even when placed in the Genjutsu, which was a benefit in the situation. Instantly she heard the swift screech echoing threw the wind, it was approaching rapidly. [Sharingan] Her Sharingan had activated and the environment around her instantly slowed. She looked forward, and the image of a arrow moved closer and closer like a bullet threw water. The whole process was a second, and she had to react quickly unless the arrow would strike her. The arrow aimed for her chest, but it was in view of her sharingan. Attacking in frontwards was a foolish idea, especially for a Uchiha. Her Uchiha blood was boiling, he underestimated her. While still holding a seal due to the affect of the Genjutsu, she moved her fingers slightly to form three new seals which would allow her to use a substitution. The loose tree bark that she had been leaning on was the perfect substitute, seeing as how it was only a few feet away.

Substituting her body with the tree bark, she thought she was safe. She faced the arrow, as it slowly pierced the wood in front of her. Looking at the arrow more thoroughly she saw a black cloth dangling from its end. Looking around it she saw the surge of chakra from her opponent threw the forest, and the cloth conducting the chakra. Her sharingan allowed her to see chakra, and weapons that are chakra activated are within her jurisdiction as well. In order for the tag to activate her opponent would need to activate it by his chakra, even if its a signal, or a direct line like puppetry. Once again he underestimated the Uchiha abilities, foolish man he was. The chakra signal was clearer to her like day, it traveled out threw the forest until it made its way to the tag. Since Takira was able to predict it, the next thing she is able to do is move out of the way quick enough. Using a body flicker combined with her Uchiha abilities, she managed to move a good distance away from the tag. It exploded, and unfortunately she wasn't quick enough to avoid its full affect. The explosion knocked her back a few yard, she was able to avoid the fire but the sheer force was still able to knock her back. The force popped her up, and she landed on her feet behind a few bushes. With her sharingan still activated she saw the wooden splinters coming at her along with the explosion. Since her area around her was surrounded by trees she managed to get behind one and avoid them.

Luckily since he shot the area in front of her, Takira had a direct view of the chakra surge. Standing behind a tree she peeped around the corner and examined. Tracing it back to its source threw memory and perception, she contemplated that her mysterious opponent was around forty meters away. "He shot a arrow forty meters?....what the?" She thought while doing a few hand signs. Utilizing her Haze technique the forest began to envelope itself in a murky mist. This should provide good cover for herself from the archer in the trees. The forest itself was 160meters and the mist covered about 60meters in radius of Takira. One will not be able to see past a few meters in front of them. "Lets roll." With that Takira darted from the tree, and made her way to the location of the archer. She wouldn't be sure that he would still be there, nor was she able to see a few meters infront of her. Using her sound intution she must rely on her senses and sharingan to find him.
