Cold, the one thing that seemed unchangeable in the dark night in the village. The Sand Village, which was under the guidance of the pale moon dazzled with lights from the flickering flames which danced at every corner. It was a busy night indeed for the residence in the Sand Village, from merchants to ninja, everyone seemed to be outside. The beauty of the night and the rhythm in which the people moved brought life in the streets, which brought a smile to Sumi’s face. Banners flowed with the breeze while the smell of fish and lizards flowed from the food stands down the street. The street, which was noisy and crowded by people, slowly became more visible as the mob of people slowly scurried down the next street where more sales where.
Now able to move freely, Sumi stood sluggishly on the sand covered road. His large brown cloak which crackled in the swift breeze slowly draped back down to his sides. Raising his right arm slowly and gently removing his good, he looked around to see if another mob was approaching. “Guess the coast is clear.” He said surprisingly as he began to walk slowly down the street. Walking closer to the sidewalk his brown cloak which covered all of his body brushed up against the dirt building as he walked. As he made his way to the fruit stand which was a few blocks away, he couldn’t help but notice the large tapping noises his boots made. Counting his steps he began to become tranced by the noise and his thoughts began to speak louder. His eye lids slowly came together and sleepiness began to take its toll on his body. Within moments of sleepwalking the deep voice of a merchant startled him out of his state. “You sir! Come, come, buy some pots! There beautiful craftsmanship!” The young man said to Sumi stopping him in his tracks. Blinking slowly and with a drop of drool hanging from his lip he responded. “Ugh, sorry but I maybe next time.” Sumi said frankly as he continued his walk to the stand.
After a few minutes of walking he found himself outside the Fruit Stand which looked similar to a Ramen Shop. Fixing himself up and brushing the dust off his shoulders, he made sure he was spotless before entering. Taking his left hand and opening the purple curtains, he walked slowly into the building. Taking a seat near the window he found the store quiet empty even for a busy night like this. Leaning his head on his right hand he stared out the window and into the busy street. “This place is so empty, certainly someone else can accompany me in the Fruit Shop.” He thought while sighing heavily.
