It was more or less a good day in Amegakure, after many chance... or rather destined incounters, the rains had slowly came to a stop and a few parts of the sun that set in the far edge of the horizon managed to peirce the parting clouds and cast rays of light that branched down like columns from the heavans. As the light met the water, it heated the concrete and metal and caused the pooling water to rise into a fog light steam that made everything seem sticky and humid. Thankfully, one didn't hav to be outside too long, and thankfully further that Silph Co. had 'Air Conditioning'.
He came with a case. A suit case at that. He was here on business, not for any other form of battle. The men here were still knee deep in greed and the involvmeent of their own power, or lack therefore of. Silph Co. was still one of the few economically powerful forces left in Amegakure and held up a good 1/2 of its over all revanue. If there was any real 'ruler' of Amegakure, it wouldn't be a man, but a company, and that woud be Silph Co. Silph himself or 'Mr. Silph' was the Ceo that had long since passed away. He had passed the compnay on, but the over all wealth actually came from the wars themselves. By selling weapons, and objects of battle convience to different countries, they had developed quite a bit of wealth. It was only by chance that they were not discovered. With the end of the wars, when the building still stood, Silph Co. changed its outward appearance and instead of selling weapons, sold appliances that were otherwise 'modern'. There were few hubs in the world in which you could find a 'microwave', but this company specialized in them. As long as their were individuals that could stumbled upon technology and fork over enough money to afford a 'microwave' they could stay afloat in the world.
Not only that, but Silph Co. had a thriving Black Market. It was so powerful in the world of economics that not even shinobi had stumbled upon it. The world was so wrapped around violence that they had failed to notice a much more powerful threat in the shape of a single green, rectangular weapon known simple as 'money'. When violence ran out of style, having wealth would serve to be a powerful ally in obtaining power and doing it quickly. So, in order for Vice to take over Amegakure, he would have to fight on the same level as his opponents, and in this cause, this field of battle was the oval shapped wooden, polished down, waxed over table of a business meeting. Vice had an appointment with the CEO's, presidents, treasurers etc., of not only Silph Co. but also their associates in order to see how much of the nation he could lay claim to while providing some sort of payment to the company itself. It was almost lik a form of protection money and to be completely honest it was the best he could do right now; aside from literally threatening them...
------------------------------------Inside Silph Co.-------------------------------------
The elevators were something special. They had two ways of opperating, one of which was the traditional electricl feed, while the other involved chakra to activte. Once activated another panel lit up that allowed access to new floors and levels. It was something he hadn't seen before but a good testimate to how far Silph Co. Had come. About 13 floors and three elevator rides later (because some floors could only be reached by different elevators) Vice arrived at what was otherwise the head room in which the meeting was to take place. He was dressed a bit more conventionally. Though usually he wore the white grab of loosly fitted clothing, now he wore business attire. It was as fancy as he could be without literally wearing a tuxito. Black dress pants with a pressed, clean cut shirt, taylored to cuff right at the wrist along with a silk red tie with diamond patern down the center and a little black cloud at it's tail. All brought together with a black jacket that was steam washed, folded at the shoulders for the broad illusion and once again, taylored so that when standing at posture, the shirt slid out about one eighth of an inch from the cuff. It was no doubt a clean look and by his standards, the most fancy he had appeared in awhile. He had no weapons on him; he didn't need them. After all, his only weapon of significant status was the shadow bellow him. He walked in armed with a brief case and an agend. And as he sat down at the far end of the large table, a few more men that were dressed very simular to him trickled in, taking their seats. Many of them were already there, chatting amungst themselves, sipping coffee, shuffling, organizing and restacking seemingly random papers. Infact, most of them didn't even turn an eye to Vice's arrival. It was something else that a man of such power would be reguarded as lower then a man of wealth. But Vice would soon change their minds.
Not five minutes later, when the clatter of the conservative old men came to a hault and the rumble of distracting noises shuffled into silence did the men that considered themselves of some high standing take a second to look down the wooden, polished, wax table and take considerable notice himself. It was his turn to look down upon them, as instead of looking about himself, he stared dead ahead to the head CEO is silph Co. The man smiled with something of a sinical grin and then declared to the man in the room. "This is Vice Nara, he is the reason of our little meeting today. It seems he has a proposition of sorts that would involve not only Silph Co. but also it's closest associates in business. Let us give him our attention and hear him out." He paused for a moment, looking to Vice as he took his seat, "The floor is yours sir."
Vice stood, his hands slipping into his pockets as he spoke to the men before him, "I'm glad you could all make it here and saftly at that. I'm not here to beat around the bush so I will get right to the proposition. I have something that you have and you ultimatly have something that I have. We can both work together for the benifit of not only Amegakure but especially Silph Co. and all involved in its practices... me and my organization known as Akatsuki have physical power. Militaristically Amegakure has suffered in the past because it has been unable to defend itself from the might of other contries. That said, the Akatsuki isn't at all funded. In fact, any profit we have is from militia activity and that isn't the safest of profit. I'm suggest a trade my physical power for your economical power. We will provide the back bone for Amegakure, its vitalization, and expansion, for as long as you can provide us with the funds to do so...
"HA!" One of larger men blurted out, "You expect us to make such a deal? Pay out money for a nothing? You say you can guarentee such protection but really what are you guarenteeing us? Occupation by a gang of criminals. Don't--" Before the man had finished, Vice had captured him from under the table in the shadow imitation technique, a shadowy grave of a hand extending upward along the man before clenching his throat and strangling him. As the man squirmed and gasp in his chair, the other business men looked only for a moment, but said nothing. It was the art of the deal for them, just good business.
Vice continued speaking, with the sound of the slowly dying man in the backround. "As I was saying... There are two major distinctions of Amegakure that bring me here. The sky, and the ground... The ground it fertal, but not as one would assume. The potencial of the future lays within the sleeping technology of Amegakure, and it is right now a step ahead of the rest of the world. Second, the sky, that rains almost constantly as a sign of everlasting rebirth and life. The clouds cast a shadow over the entire nation and being able to manipulate shadows makes the entire country a weapon for me. There is a great distinction between common criminals and the Akatsuki, I can promise you that. And not to seem threatening, but I can just as easily do to you what I've done to him..." Vice concluded as the man dropped dead, blue in the face. He fell from his chair limp coming to a puddle of his own greedy fat flabby self.
The men in the room looked about at each other, but it was only a few moments into the otherwise awkward silence that the CEO stood at the head of the table with a jovial laugh, "Hahaha! You strike a hard bargan Vice. We have had many individuals step through here thinking they could perswad us, but I think this is just the investment Silph CO. and Amegakure are ready to make. As we discussed earlier we will be giving you rights to the basement of the building to opperate from!"
Everyone else looked a bit shocked, and as one man exclaimed 'OUTRAGIOUS!' the table burst into a fray of shouted words of confusion, anger and disagreement. The CEO shouted once more in absolute glee, "And I will be considering this meeting your formal resignition from the company!" The men that were already infuriated looked to the CEO with utter disbelief, "If you would do the honors, Mr. Vice?" With that cue, Vice, used the 'Shadow Splinter' technique to end the life of all of the individuals in the room, as slicing tendrils of shadows peirced their hearts. The Ceo grinned with malice and folded his arms, standing from the head of the table and walking from one end to the other to meet Vice as the other individuals in the room died slowly, or were already dead. "Haha, I'm sorry I made you go through all that, I just wanted to see the looks on their faces when I fired each and every one of them. Welcome to Silph Co. Akatsuki!"
Vice shook the man's hand. "As gracious as you are, Mr CEO, the least I can do is give you that pleasure."
