| The whisking breeze that Sora only imagined in Konoha grazed the area all around the young Genin. It glided through the arena like light penetrating a bowl of darkness; wind penetrating a bowl of heat. The sun had been incredibly intense for a while, like it would never stop, and Sora felt it baring down, knawing at his hood and trying to rip into his flesh as he awaited his match in the semi-finals. He wore his usual attire of a blacksuit, hood, and mask. The hood provided shade to his face and the mask kept the dust from getting into his mouth. He was to fight one of the top Genin in Konoha: Jiro, a skilled Genin, but also dumbfounded when it came to girls.
He had seen this multiple times in the Academy and even when he saw Jiro trying to talk to a girl days before. 'Maybe I could use this to my advantage...' he thought, as a plan began to peice itself together into his subconciousness; thoughts became a blur as he rapidly figured out multiple plans and back-up plans, even a strategy that could win him the match. He had spent quite some time since his last match training and setting new strategies for whatever got in his way when it came down to the finals, but he never suspected him being matched with a Genin with such high intellect and strategic knowledge that he would need to use every bit of detail he knew about this person.
'But that's not a whole lot...I know two important things: he's a Jashin desciple, and he has girl problems.' he thought to himself, looking up as the instructer's voice echoed loudly throughout the area bouncing off of the walls and ringing into everyone's ears; he seemed to be using some kind of amplification jutsu that allowed his voice to be heard by all in the area. "Match One!" the instructer shouted, Sora assumed he was a Chuunin. The Chuunin called out two names and the Genin lept out onto the field. Sora watched dilegently, trying to desipher every move, but of course he couldn't make out every move but it was great practice for the next match. 'Me VS Jiro...' he said, quietly trying to cheer himself up into his top game.
When the match was over Sora wasn't paying attention enough, because he had stopped watching near the end, to tell who had won. Now the instructor seemed to look towards him and shouted the next match. "Math Two! Kihaku versus Jiro!" his voice once again echoing into his ears pounding his ear drums as he listened. "That's my que!" he shouted, leaping down onto the field, his suit like a black spot on a dalmation. His sandels kicked up dust that wavered into the air and the wind that breezed through the area caressed his cheek with such a smooth touch that Sora felt as if he was a baby again, that feeling didn't last long however, beause he snapped out of it and focused intently on his opponent who had also jumped down into the area. "Hey there! Let the best Genin win!" he shouted, extending his hand to shake Jiro's. | |

| Jiro stood calmly his eyes closed absorbing the atmosphere of the packed stadium. He expected another intense battle if his past experiences where anything to go by. The Uchiha might not have provided much of a problem but Maevis had proved a stalwart and cunning opponent. By logical deduction this match should prove even tougher and all the more rewarding. Ironically this caused his heart not to race in trepidation but in eagerness. He didn’t care about the winning the exam, he never had, he had no parents to please, no real friends to show off to outside his team and Jashin needed no baubles or trophies to please. The thrill of battle called to him, the joy of meeting someone in single combat electrified him. He wanted to absorb the moment, distil the anticipation and imprint the feeling into his core.
When he heard the approach of footsteps he opened his pale purple eyes to take in his would be opponent with a calm curious gaze. Another blue haired Genin he thought a feeling of deju vous coming upon him. The crystal blade he bore, sparklingly in the early afternoon light, caught his eye and Jiro wondered what it did. Well soon he would find if it was a match for hell forged one. His opponent then did something he hadn’t expected, rather then keeping his distance he closed the gap with a greeting holding his hand outstretched. Jiro hesitated momentarily wary of a potential trap before beginning to raise his own. He didn’t know the Genin nor did he intend to get to know him now but he didn’t want to look rude or cocksure. Just before their hands could meet a half dozen shrill screams caused him to freeze up. Looking up to the stands he internally groaned at what he knew he would find. To the right a banner with Jiro’s name and a number of hearts was slung between a half dozen shrieking girls. His Fan girls had found him it would seem, how troublesome
It had taken an embarrassingly long time to realise he wasn’t quite as ugly as he had assumed. Ever since the mission to the snow and the foolhardy haircut he had girls following him this way and that, only 3 days ago it had taken a good half hour to shake them. Worse his hair which he was rapidly trying to grow back wasn’t exactly growing in the right places any more and was having an opposite effect. A girl he didn’t know had come up to him at the dango stall only two days back saying she thought his new hairstyle was really cute. Fortunately a shunshin later and he was able to lose her in a crowd. He wasn’t entirely sure what or how one acquired fan girls so was at a loss to know how to get rid of them. At first he thought it was simply his looks and so slammed his face against the wall till he was black and blue, pain being something he had long come accustomed to as Jashin’s Disciple but he hadn’t reckoned with the female instinct to nature nor his accelerated healing rate. He wasn’t in hospital long but he received a veritable mountain of gifts from people he didn’t know though he suspected from the amount of pink wrapping who might be responsible. Girls kept bothering him when he walked through the village for no apparent reason and a few even came to watch him train forcing him to keep changing areas to avoid them. The worse bit was the way they made him feel the odd feelings he would get around them which he tried chop up and bury as deeply as he could. Unable to get rid of the girls he had started ignoring them of late but some things were just too much, the heart covered banner being one of them waved was by 6 of his most ardent admirers. Taking deep breaths he slowly phased them out, only opening his eyes when he was once more ready to begin and finally took the boys outstretched hand and shock it briefly. Jumping back to place distance between them he nodded to the proctor to indicate he was ready meanwhile pulling the bandage over his mouth as usual and drawing the blood red blade at his waist and attaching the chain end up his right sleeve to the pommel before falling into his stance. | |

| The blazing sphere of heaping gas above continued to reach with outstretched golden rays hoping to catch an unsuspecting victim in it's grasp, like a deer being prowled like a lion he felt it's harsh grip knawing at him with intense heat. When his opponent lept down into the arena for their fight Sora was struck by a sudden nervousness; this opponent didn't seem like any normal opponent, and he wasn't. This was a very skilled Genin, most likely the best, but Sora didn't let that weigh him down. As his formidable opponent outstretched his careful, steady hand to shake a banner caught both of their eyes. It was slung over the wall with six over-obsessed girls drooling over Jiro. 'Why don't I have fan girls?' he questioned to himself silently, shaking his head.
After appearing in thought Jiro turned back, seeming to return to what was going on before him and finished the shake. Sora had learned a bit just from that handshake. 'He hesitated...he's more hesitant about doing things and keeps an eye open. The more knowledge about my opponent I gain throughout this match, the easier it will be to win in the long run.' he told himself, leaping backwards as Jiro nodded to the referee to begin the match. Josh's crystal blue eyes gleamed in the lions outstretched golden paws and his black suit stood out against the light tan walls and brightly shining sand beneath his feet. He kept a steady breath, showing no signs of movement as he watched Jiro release a red blade from it's sheath. 'What's that?' he thought, eyeing the blade with curious eyes as his opponent, almost secretly, attached a chain to the dull bottom of the handle.' Sora pondered this for a short second, hoping to remember this in the future. He silently repeated to himself 'Watch out for chain on sword...' he thought, getting into a stance known only to his clan. Because of his clan's nomadic lifestyle and the rareness of anyone in his clan fighting with outsiders this stance was known by very few outside the clan, maybe only two from other villages, besides those who had seen it used by Sora before.
He knew it was a stance that was normally used to intimidate his opponent back in his clan but not only that but also one of the most highly respected stances. It instituted his left foot slightly in front of his right foot, maybe two feet, and spread apart four feet. Not only would this allow movement at a sudden moment but also avoid being knocked unbalanced by a strong blow. This was a firm stance that also required Sora's right fist to be up and closed, only slightly forward, and his left hand, palm open, the same measurement forward as his right. Those who knew of this stance knew how to avoid it, or even counter it. Sora doubted that his opponent knew of this stance, but everything was possible. Ideas, thoughts, and strategies all at once pulsing through his mind, Sora was ready. His mind was at peace and ease and he felt as if he had just awoken from a long slumber, he wasn't only running on adrenaline and the will to win, but his lust to please the Hokage. His ambitions were maintained however, but he longed to sit at the Hokage's side as an ANBU. He knew this was most likely far off but he was willing to wait. Winning such an honor was only a bonus, the climb to accomplish that honor was the true prize. "Ready!" he shouted, nodding to the proctor just as Jiro had done. He stood there, waiting for his opponent to make the first move; the first move of this glorious and inspirational match. | |

| Jiro took note of Sora’s stance how he seemed ready to let him taken the lead and wasn’t really surprised. A good Ninja was a cautious Ninja after all and most liked to hold themselves back relying on their foe to make a exploitable mistake they could capitalise on, rather then do something that might leave them open. All his opponents so far had waited for him to begin with the Uchiha being the sole exception after all caution and arrogance rarely went hand in hand. He understood this but he also knew that it was just as important to seize the initiative and dictate the ebb and flow of the battle. By seeding him the first move he had also unconsciously seeded control and Jiro would exploit it. The battle would now start on his terms and Sora would shortly find that Jiro did not give up an advantage once taken; he would need to wait for an opening, unfortunately for him Jiro rarely left any. Deciding to exploit the wide arena to its maximum he flicked his left arm causing the pocket within to open and the first of many smoke bombs to tumble out discretely into his left hand. Slowly letting his arm trail behind him he used his body to obscure its downfall. As the smoke erupted Jiro carefully dropped the blade to the ground where it dug in an inch or so freeing his hands up and did the lone hand seal he needed for a bunshin. Reaching once more for the blade he began to run, not towards his target nor away but rather in a circular motion maintaining the same distance between himself and Sora. Around him 7 other clones were doing exactly the same thing though 4 ran in the other direction. Before the smoke had cleared their were now 8 Jiro’s surrounding Sora in a semi circle all looking with the same emotionless face towards him, each gripping a vicious blood red blade. Like 8 mirror images they moved as one into the Black stance of Jashin before reaching back using chakra empowered strength to hurl the blades towards Sora. Eight blades flew in perfect synchronicity, each gently rattling as they pulled chain behind them. The question was which one was the real one --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Bunshin no Jutsu - Clone Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Element: N/A Description: Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse Name: Kenkei - Blade Whip Rank: C Type: Taijutsu (well Kenjutsu to be specfic) Elemental Affinity: N/A Description: One of the first thing a Disciple learns when wield a Sacred Blade using it in combination with a rope or chain to greatly increase the attacks reach. The first major technique utilizing this is Kenkai which involves two parts. The first is accurate chakra imbued throw of the weapon towards the target. This can be guided somewhat by wrist movements but is largely reliant on the initial aim. Most Nin can normally avoid it. It’s the second part that is the more deadly. The blade with have lodged itself behind the intended victim and it is simple enough to use a chakra enhanced pull to sent it hurtling back at great speed. More easily guided, the rope/chain can be flicked in manner so the blade is rushing towards the opponents normally unprotected back. Weapon of Choice: Sacrificial Blade of Jashin Appearance: The power of the Disciple decides the type of weapon gifted. The acrobatic and flamboyant style used by the Disciples of Jashin takes years if not decades to perfect and the larger the weapon the more skill required. The weapons whatever their size, all share the same traits and abilities This blade is used by Genin level Disciples and as such is used by Jiro Special Abilities: All Sacred weapons have the following properties: - They are extremely hard wearing
- The blades are made from a blood red metal
- They are perfectly balanced
- The never lose their edge
- They can all be used in conjunction of ropes and chains to extend their range considerably
- They are Chakra conductive
- They can be summoned to the owner using a variation of the standard summoning technique. When a disciple proves them capable of handling a new weapon (aka when they rank up), all they need to do is unsummon their old blade and use the summoning technique and a new blade more suitable to his needs will appear in its place
Origins: All the Sacred Sacrificial blades are create in forges in Jashin own hell like realm and are usually gained by summoning them though on very rare occasions they have been known to be found unattended, lost by some former Disciple of Jashin | |

| Usually Sora gave his opponent the first move, and that he did. He did this to get a grasp of his opponent's fighting style. Did they rely on strength, speed, or intelligence? Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, or Taijutsu? This information would be collected and stored in order to survive the rest of the match, but what if there was not a rest of the match? What if it ended there and then and his strategy failed? Well that was a "what if" and formally they did not occur and normally his strategies did not fail, but could this be the first time? He narrowed his eyes taking in everything that his opponent did hoping to find a sign. Jiro seemed to be reaching for something secretly, so secretly that Sora barely even caught the movement and couldn't even tell what it is, until the entire area was suddenly enveloped with a bellowing smoke that could have only originated from smoke bombs. 'That's it!' he thought, keeping his stance.
He held his position calling on every mental instinct that he had ever picked up, recalling every move and jutsu he knew and tried to decipher what his opponent was doing but only heard the slightest sounds of movement; he relied on his ears trying to pick up any hints or clues but could only come up with the conclusion that his opponent had not attempted an attack yet, but why? Then the smoke began to clear and his sight was returned as he scanned the field only to see himself surrounded by multiple Jiro's, he counted self-conciously eight Jiro's. Was the real Jiro really here? Was he somewhere hiding? 'Stop it!' he shouted, to himself. 'Stop questioning and take evasive action, now!' the little voice in his head echoed into his thoughts telling him to get out of there now, but he barely had the time.
Each clone threw the sickeningly blood red blade at hime, each attached with a chain to the bottom of the dull handle. The movement's flashed before his eyes, seemingly in slow motion but he had no chance to notice for he had immediatly taken defensive action. He retrieved a large crystal ball from his pouch and tossed it on to the ground before manipulating it fluently around him into a form of barrier. This couldn't protect him from all of them but it would tell him which was real. Seven of the swords poofed into smoke along with the clones but the last one struck through the barrier like a butter knife through butter. It continued and Sora had regained his position. He caught the back side of the blade with his left hand barely stopping it before grasping the handle with his other hand. When accomplishing step two of his strategy he lept into the air and tossed the sword at the remaining Jiro with full force, the chain attached going with it. | |

| Jiro had to admit he was intensely curious about what his opponent had just done not the catch and throw but rather the crystal barrier he had formed and wondered what else the boy could do on that score. He had never heard of such a Jutsu, a Kekkai Genkai he was not familiar with perhaps. As for the oncoming blade Jiro didn’t even bat an eye lid, well accustomed to using his blade in combination with chains and with one end firmly tied to his belt and running down through his right sleeve for easy access Sora might as well have tried to throw a puppet at its puppeteer with its chakra strings still attached. Defiant yet utterly futile, still it was impressive that he had avoided cutting himself all the same, not an easy thing to do given how sharp the blade was.
Jiro once read that a good Nin fought 3 moves ahead. That said another famous sage said that a plan only survives till contact with the enemy. Jiro himself finds a mix of the two to be the best way forward. As his foe threw the blade towards him he had already planned his next move and after letting the blade get slightly closer moved to initiate it. Part of learning the Black Stance of Jashin included practising a number of skills and tricks to improve handling and control of his weapon especially when attached to a chain. One of the more impressive ones had come to the forefront of his mind. While not especially combat effective, or indeed combat effective at all and a little too showy for his tastes, showy was just what his plan called for.
Gripping the chain tightly in his right arm he pulled on it using chakra to add the extra strength needed not only to pull back the blade at speed but counter its current momentum. At the same time he continually flicked his wrist in a manner not dissimilar to when performing the technique, blade trap. The result was the blade being halted mid flight before flying back towards Jiro now only hilt first though slower then previously. However rather then flying straight it whipped back like a coiled snake in ever tightening circles. A few aww’s in the crowd were nothing compared to what he had planned next.
The next part was simply a matter of timing, at least that’s what Jiro reminded himself. He was relatively certain he could do it and there was only a very small chance he would cut his limbs off given the relative speed of the oncoming blade. Not willing to take a risk though he deactivated one of his weight seals to ensure it wouldn’t be overly problematic. Many expected him to catch the blade, or whip it back at Sora again not wait till the coil of chain with its vicious red blade was feet away then quite literally do a rotating dive throw the centre in the manner of a twisting front facing flip, his blade barely missing several major body parts. As he landed on his left hand he kicked out with his legs connecting with the pommel of the blade in a trick he had practised many times before sending the blade high into the air directly above before flipping himself back onto his feet. In truth it was easier then it looked a simple case of timing but to the assembled crowd it looked like a dazzling piece of acrobatic skill. The crowed cooed appreciatively at the spectacle and most gazes followed the shining red blades ascent wondering what would happen next. With any luck his opponent was doing exactly the same and therefore not looking as his free right hand threw three kunai with explosive tags attached towards him as he came out of the flip.
As he landed he instinctively braced himself and started forming hand seals to mold chakra into his left hand. Meanwhile the blade reached 25ft in the air above him before losing momentum and began to fall to the ground handle first. Finishing the seals just in time, he caught the blade in his right while thrusting his left palm forward sending a concentrated burst of wind chakra in the kunai’s wake increasing the speed of their flight greatly. Carefully replacing the blade into its scabbard he once more brought his hands together. When the Kunai seemed to reach his opponent moments later he activated the tags hoping to catch Sora up in the explosion
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Reppushou - Gale Wind Palm Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Element: N/A Description: Fuuton • Reppushou is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Wind Element. After forming the needed hand seals, Nagato will send a strong gust of wind towards his target. When acting in conjunction with another thrown weapon, the wind can increase its power and deadliness.
Name: Explosion Tag: Activate Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Element: N/A Description: The user will activate an explosion tag. Normally, the tag will be placed by them, so they know where it is and can easily activate it.
Name: Enhanced Strength, Stamina and Speed Rank: N/A Type: Taijutsu. Trait Element: N/A Description: Through continuous strenuous training and the use of weights it is possible to increase ones strength, stamina and speed to levels beyond what is normally considered possible. It takes years of effort and training, continuously pushing oneself to breaking point and adding weight till your body adepts. Jiro has spent untold years training to make his small arsenal of Jutsu and skills second nature believing that it’s better to be good at one skill then bad at three. With regards to his Kenjutsu for which he trains longer and harder then any other aspect his form is not only near flawless but his strength, stamina and speed are greatly increased as is his ability to utilise chakra within his body which is greater then someone who has not conditioned the body in such a manner. This is a latent trait much like Maito Gai or Lees reflecting his higher then normal speed and strength. Jiro possesses superior speed, stamina and strength in comparison to a regular Nin of his rank. | |
