The room was bright, real bright and everyone was in uniform to perform the operation to one of the ninja’s in the village. The man had been successful in his fight but found himself on the wrong end of an acid jutsu and now his eyes were completely and totally blind. Dante had personally known the man, he had been one of those men who all his life bullied and teased with him about his size, but that never phased Dante, he had a job to do. A couple of years ago Dante had literally gone into a period of hibernation where he could study and perfect his techniques as the villages top medic, he did so and as such furthered the gap in skills. He had studied in his house for nearly 6 months straight on new techniques and improved many more by researching though his many medical books and finding willing injured test subjects to come by his house. He was now known as the miracle healer of Suna, the title he thought was all smoke and mirrors. He never cared if he was the best or the worst medic, it simply made him feel good to help out his fellow ninja.
One technique in particular had been by far the hardest to learn. It seemed at the time that many ninja were being decommissioned because of eye injuries and becoming blind in one eye or both, and Dante wanted a way to stop this. Using himself as a test subject he carefully applied medical chakra to his left eye and used the chakra to safely cut the connections between the eye and the brain. The one thing that surprised him was how painless the removal was. With his other eye Dante carefully examined his eye before he brought it back to the socket and placed medical gauss and tape over it to keep it from falling out while he attempted to reattach the eye. Once he had done this he carefully once again applied chakra to his eyes and in a much longer process began to reattach all the essentials. After nearly an hour’s worth of intense concentration on the jutsu he could see again. He removed the gauss and tape and opened his eye to see, he had to quickly close it however because of the extreme sensitivity on the eyes. It would take a few days before the eye became completely functional again but once it was it was just as good as it was before.
Now he looked down at his patient as he walked into the room and sat down next to the man in a large chair, and because of his size it was the perfect height to perform the operation. Dante carefully and strategically removed the man’s eyes and grabbed the replacements taken from the acid jutsu user himself and placed them both in their sockets before reattaching them. The surgery had been completed successfully but it would be a couple days before the man could see, and see he would.
