Kazuto in his room, sorting through his books, trying to tidy up his room like his mother had told him to. It was an irritating chore, but Kazuto had to admit that once it was done, it did leave a sense of relaxation. Placing the last of his books onto his shelf, he turned around and examined his room. Just then, his father entered the room, looking around as he did so. “So you finally decided to clean this place,” he remarked, turning back to Kazuto. He looked at him carefully, as though sizing him up. “Kazuto, I’ve noticed you seem to be unable to do a simple jutsu that I knew when I was your age, and if you ever want to be successful in life, you’ll…” His voice carried on, but Kazuto paid little attention to his father’s remarks about how Kazuto wasn’t a good enough ninja. Kazuto held up his hand to get his father’s attention. “You were saying something about me not knowing a jutsu?” he said. His father stopped talking and told him about the Kuchiyose no Jutsu. “A summoning technique is very useful to a ninja, and I’m going to teach it to you,” his father concluded. Taking a scroll form his pocket, he gave it to Kazuto and explained to him the simple procedure for summoning weapons form a scroll. If Kazuto was to master this, then h would be able to perform Kuchiyose no Jutsu. Taking the scroll, Kazuto thanked his father, who left the room. Kazuto opened the scroll and placed it on the ground. Crouching down, he formed the handsigns his father had told him about, and then placed his hand against the scroll. Nothing happened. He tired again, but still nothing happened. On his third try, it was a success. With a puff of smoke, an assortment of weapons appeared on top of the scroll. Kazuto picked up the weapons, rolled up the scroll, and headed for his room.
