Ulkira Uchiha vs Osaru Kitsuki

Chance of death.

Osaru was in the stands above the stadium, sleeping, as the matchs dragged on. He fell alseep sometime during the third match. He was woken up by his pet and raven friend, Karasu, to see both of his squadmates fight. Osaru didnt like his Uchiha Teammate, but cheered him on nonetheless. After Zeke's fight, Osaru fell back asleep, only to be violently awoken by his Sensei a moment later. 'Hey, youre up next Osa!' she told him. 'Huh? What the he-' he started to say before he was dragged up by his sensei and the bird. He swung his hand, batting away the bird and shook of his senseis grip. 'Crap. I forgot I made it...' he said pathetically. He streched his arms and back before grabbing his belt full of puches that was laying enxt to him. He double-checked to make sure he had all his tools. Bird Claws? Check. Kunai? Check. Shuriken? Check. Smoke Pellets? Wire? Cloth? Check, check and check. he thought. Hestreched his arms one last time before strapping the belt around his waist. He nodded to his bird companion, then leapt off the wall of the stadium.

He landed making a cloud of smoke where he fell. He stood up again, looking around the stadium. He eyed his opponent who just fell down right after him and gritted his teeth. He was told little about his opponent except for that he was another damn Uchiha specializing in snakes and fire. He knew nothing else of him, but he already hated him. 'Looks like were in for a good fight...' he told Kuri. He pulled out one Bird Claw for his right hand, and three kunai for the other hand. He stood in a defensive battle stance, and waited for his opponent to make the first move...

Ulkira stood with his arms crossed, watching the clouds go by as he waited for his match to start. He wasn’t sure who his opponent was, only that he was from the Kitsuki clan and was the teammate of the other Uchiha that Ulkira had met during the Written Exam. Ulkira glanced down as he heard his name announced. He placed his hand on the railing and leapt over it, landing on the ground as the Kitsuki landed as well. Ulkira walked over to the centre, observing the area around him. It was basically a large, open dome with grass here and there, as well as a few trees on the perimeter of the fighting area. All in all, a place where Doton user would have the better advantage, and a place where a Suiton user like him would have great difficulty, but he had something that would greatly help him with his water jutsu. His hand absently-mindedly moved towards his kunai pouch as he sized up his opponent. The proctor had called him by the name Osaru Kitsuki. Ulkira looked at him carefully. The boy was a few years younger than Ulkira, perhaps 13 or 14 years old. Ulkira smirked as his green eyes went red and his Sharingan activated. He wondered whether this boy was the holder of some sort of Kekkei Genkai. Ulkira noted him taking out some sort of custom weapon, along with some kunai. He got into a defensive position, no doubt waiting for Ulkira to make the first move. This didn’t suit Ulkira very well; he was typically the kind of fighter who would try to assess his opponent’s abilities. Nevertheless, this might be good opportunity for him. Flipping back a few feet, Ulkira quickly did a string of handsigns and blew a large mist from his mouth at Osaru. Immediately, he tossed a kunai with an explosive note already attached to it right at the mist, and set the tag off. The note exploded, setting the flammable mist on fire. Ulkira moved further back to avoid being scorched by the heat and whipped out a folded Fuuma shuriken. The large fireball that had erupted made it hard for him to see Osaru clearly. Ulkira waited with the folded Fuuma shuriken in his hand, wondering how Osaru would react to this attack.

Osaru wathed curiously as his opponent breathed out a small cloud of mist. What the hell is he do- His thought was interupted when the cloud burst into flames. He instinctivly dived to his right to get out of the way of the fireball. Damn Uchihas... Who knew there could be a Suiton Uchiha anyway? he thought. He ignored the strangeness of his opponent, deciding he needs to focus on his match at hand. He looked over at Karasu, who was flying low to the ground at the far end of the stadium. He landed in one of the few trees in the stadium, waiting for when his turn would come.

My turn... He thought as he leapt above the flames and threw the three kunai in his hand. Lets see how you avoid these... He told himself. Osaru had a really bad habit of talking to himself, but he does his best to keep it at a low in combat. He landed where the fireball just was, in front of the Uchiha. He immediately drew three more kunai, these ones with ultra-thin(yet somewhat durable) ninja wire attached. He immediately took another defensive stance, this one allowing him to take the offensive more efficiently, and awaited his opponents turn...

(OOC: Lol, how can you know I'm a Suiton user? It hasn't been stated yet . And FYI, Itachi is a Suiton user.)

Ulkira smirked as he saw Osaru roll out of the way of the fireball. He had brains, that was for sure. If he was a stategist type, then this battle would be interesting. Tactics always added flavour to a battle, fighting against a person who used all brawn but no brains was never entertaining. As Osaru came to the end of his roll, Ulkra noted him glaring at him. It was obvious that Osaru despised him, but why, Ulkira wasn't sure. It didn't bother hm much, everyone hated the Uchiha clan deep within their hearts, no matter how they acted on the outside. Ulkira tightened his grip on the Fuuma shuriken clutched in his hand, waiting. He saw Osaru looking at something, and his eyes istinctively followed. The Kitsuki seemed to be looking at the bird that had swooped lower and landed on one of the trees. Ulkira had a feeling that this bird was Osaru's, based on the way it watched them carefully, as if it were sentient and waiting for some sort of signal. Any normal bird would ignore them, but this one was watching them too carefully.

Turning back to Osaru, Ukira saw him launch himself into the air and throw three kunai at him. Ulkira smirked once more and opened the Fuuma shuriken in his hand and swung it forward in such a manne that it knocked the three kunai away. Ulkira looked over at his opponent, who had landed and extracted three more kunai. He got into another stance, which greatly annoyed Ulkira. He really didn't like stances, he found them simply as a means to show off. He seemed to be waiting for Ulkira's next attack. Very well, he would get it. Swinging his arm holding the Fuuma shuriken back, Ulkra threw his shuriken at Osaru. The shuriken flew, and Ulkira plan worked perfectly. He had not been holding one Fuuma shuriken, but two, and he had thrown both of them right now at the same time. Due to the Kage Shuriken technique, the second shuriken was hidden in the first shuriken's shadow. Ulkira quickly brought his hands up and formed soe handsigns, then opened his mouth to launch five fireballs that shot towards either side of Osaru. Ulkira extracted six shuriken with hair thin, durable wires attached to them and crouched to see how Osaru would deal with this wave of attacks. If the Kitsuki ducked to dodge the first Fuuma shuriken which was thrown too high to dodge with a jump, the second one would hit him. If he tried to dodge to the left or right, the fireballs would hit him. The only way Osaru would be able to dodge the attacks would be if he used some jutsu. Kawarami would be impossible, unless Osaru had some special tool that would help him perform it, because there was nothing close by that Osaru could use to dodge. Ulkira waited, his shuriken placed between each finger on his clenched hands.

[OOC: My Character doesnt know for sure, but by you using the Mist it leads him to believe your a Suiton user. Its just common sense. And My charactere isnt well informed on Itachi, so he wouldnt know of another Suiton Uchiha, even though I do in rl]

Osaru saw the first Shuriken fly at him, then Ulkira, his opponent, shot about half a dozen fireballs at him. Osaru ducked under the shuriken , only to see another flying at him. Osaru swore under his breath as he hit the shurike with his customized spiked knuckles(Bird Claws), knocking the shuriken off course just a little. He looked back at his opponent to see what else he had, only to notice that the second shuriken scraped his right forearm. He saw a little blood dripping but decided its nothing to worry about yet. Karasu, meanwhile, would fly from his perch towards Ulkira, though wouldnt attack, yet. He just ran at Ulkira, drawing three more kunai, these ones with ninja wire attached, for his left hand. He would wait until hes just a few feet in front of Ulkira before using a Replacement Jutsu with Karasu. This would have them switch places, so karasu would be in front and Osaru in the back. If Ulkira was still there, they would unleash a fury of blows at him, hoping to deal a little damage at least.

(OOC: The mist is flammable, hence it isn't composed of water particles, if it was the mist would never be able to catch on fire. Now that's common sense. )

"Heh, he over-came it," Ulkira said under his breath as he saw Osaru knock the first shuriken off-course with his weapon. The second one had grazed Oaru's shoulders; Ulkira supposed he had misjudged his throw's trajectory. He felt like a fool for not realizing that Osaru would block the shuriken with his weapon. Now was not the time to stew over it. The Kitsuki was coming at him, and was drawing three more kunai as he did so. Out of the corner of his eye, Ulkira saw the bird lift off of its perch and fly towards him. That proved to Ulkira that the bird was Osaru's and therefore, was a threat. If it was swooping at Ulkira the exact second that Osaru charged at him, it could mean only one thing: a combination attack of sort was to be used. Ulkira had an idea for how he could stop the, hopefully he would be able to do it in time. Ulkira quickly raised his arms, still holding the shuriken between his fingers. A snake shot out of each of Ulkira's sleeves and lunged at his opponents, one at Osaru's face, and the other at the bird. The snakes would attempt to bind both of them and restrict their movement. Dodging a snake was pretty hard, as they were extremely quick when it came to lunging. Once the snakes had left his sleeves, Ulkira flipped back 2 metres and straightened up as he replaced his shuriken back into his pouch. Ulkira hoped Osaru wouldn't be taken down too easily. He didn't want this match to end quickly. A single snake slithered out of his sleeve and coiled around his arm. Ulkira would use the snake for a Kawarami if he needed to.

Karasu was small and fast anough to fly upward into the sun, avoiding the snake, but Osaru wasnt exactly that lucky. He decided to hold his ground against the reptile; thrusting his fist with the spiked knuckles forward, then following it up with a punch from his kunai-hand. That should do it... He thought. After he sees the snake as not being a threat yet[OOC: its dead now, right?], he turned his attention to his opponent.

He saw a snake come out of the sleeve of his shirt, and Osaru took note of that for future reference. He started analyzing situations of what the outcome of the battle would be in his head. He threw the three kunai with wire at his opponent, then drew another three. he grabbed a fourth kunai and held it in his right hand. That wa he could stab and punch with his right hand. He leapt back a few meters to greaten the distance between the two, and awaited for his opponents reaction...

[OOC: this match seems like its only gonna get better. Lots of the other contestants are facing way too powerful opponents and/or are quitting giving up in rl. Both of us dont seem to be willing to lose this, and thats what the Exams are all about]

Ulkira hadn’t expected the bird to be hit by the snake; it had been obvious to him that it would fly higher to avoid it. Neither had he expected Osaru to be hit by the snake, Ulkira had kept Osaru’s weapons mind. He was starting to get a little irritated by the weapons Osaru used. It struck him that Osaru was most likely a weapon specialist. Ulkira didn’t know much about this skill, only that it was sometimes unpredictable. Ulkira reacted as he saw Osaru throw the three kunai in his hand at the Uchiha. As the kunai flew, Ulkira could see the Sun’s rays reflecting off of what appeared to be wires that were attached to the kunai. He had a guess as to what might happen if he simply dodged. With the help of his Sharingan, Ulkira ducked; at the same moment he ducked, the snake on his arm extended its neck and snapped the wires with its fangs, and then recoiled itself around Ulkira’s arm. Ulkira straightened up and saw that Osaru had drawn four more kunai, one held in his right hand. Ulkira brought his thumb to his mouth and bit it, drawing a little blood, which e then wiped across the snake tattoo he had branded on his arms. He quickly formed a few handsigns and slammed his hand to the ground. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" he siad, and a puff of smoke to appear; the smoke cleared to reveal a 5ft long, black King Cobra with a yellow underbelly. Kobura looked up at Ulkira, who nodded to him. The snake hissed and slithered up Ulkira’s pant, up to his left arm and wrapping itself around Ulkira shoulders. Ulkira then drew three kunai and flipped two of them in his hand so that the sharp edge was pointing backwards. He placed on in his mouth and gripped it with his teeth. He then charged at Osaru, channeling chakra to his feet to give him more speed as he ran. Once he was close enough, he attempted a sweep kick at Osaru’s legs. Whichever way Osaru dodged, Ulkira would throw the kunai in his mouth at him with a swing of his head. Osaru would most likely block that throw, and Ulkira would use those precious seconds to attempt to strike Osaru with the kunai in his hands. Kobura’s job was to ensure that Osaru’s bird didn’t attempt to strike him form the back. He was confident that the snake would be a match for the bird. Kobura would also help Ulkira against Osaru. All of Kobura’s attacks would be dangerous as long as Ulkira kept close to Osaru.

Osaru just watched intently the Uchiha he was fighting summoned a large black and yellow cobra. Trying to even up the numbers? he asked himself in his head. He just shrugged and watch as his opponent ran towards Osaru, with the snake right behind him. Osaru watched, waiting to time his counter-attack right, as Karasu flew towards the snake, Ulkira and Osaru. Once Ulkira was just out of arms reach, Osaru focused his chakra. He used the Change of Body Stance technique he learned back in the academy with his bird. Heh. Cant believe he fell for the same trick twice... Osaru thought. Karasu flew straight in the air, towards the sun, so it would be hard for Ulkira and his snake to see his exact location. Osaru, meanwhile, threw his three kunai at the snake, then did a backflip, landing about 5 or 6 meters behind Ulkira and his summon. Osaru grabbed another three kunai for his left hand. Osaru just waited again, hoping Ulkira would continue wasting chakra and his energy, while Osaru just keeps setting his checkmate up. Your almost finished Uchiha, your time runs thin. Just keep on doing waht you do, and maybe Ill let you live... He thought. He hated Uchihas with all his heart, but he didnt think Death was always neccesary. That doesnt mean that a fatal blow or a concussion wouldnt be a possibility for the future...

(OOC: Dude, Kobura is wrapped around my shoulders!)

Ulkira’s attack had failed, yet again. Osaru had used Kawarami to switch places with his bird. I’ll give him credit, he’s not the type to take unnecessary risks Ulkira thought as he flipped to his feet and quickly placed the kunai in his mouth back into his pouch. The bird had flown higher into the air, flying in front of the Sun so that the Sun’s glare made it hard to see. He hadn’t seen where Osaru had appeared, but he was most likely behind him. Though Ulkira could not see Osaru throwing the kunai at him, Kobura, who was wrapped around Ulkira’s shoulders, could. The snake gave a hiss to warn Ulkira about the attack. The Uchiha spun around as he heard the hiss, and saw Osaru flipping back 5 or 6 metres form Ulkira. Ulkira didn’t even flinch as the kunai flew towards him. Kobura opened his mouth and fired a barrage of needles at the kunai, deflecting them. Ulkira looked over at Osaru, wondering how best to attack him. Osaru seemed to be keeping his distance from him, and it made sense since he had done only weapon attacks so far. This gave Ulkira the impression that Osaru lacked strength in close combat. But then, it wasn’t something Ulkira excelled at either. He spaced his feet out a little, keeping his eye on his opponent. He whispered to Kobura to watch his back and keep an eye out for any surprise attacks. Ulkira then looked over at Osaru and said, “Well, up till now this fight seems to have been nothing but me attacking and you dodging. Why don’t you have a go for a change?” He tightened his grip on the two kunai in his hands as he spoke. The snake coiled around his shoulder was still there, waiting for Ulkira to make use of him. If Ulkira continued attacking Osaru like he was, Ulkira would run out of chakra, while Osaru would still have enough to beat Ulkira. Well, Ulkira had Kobura, and he was willing to utilize him to the best of his abilities. As long as he stuck with simple attacks, and let Kobura handle the lethal ones, he should be alright.

A small smirk crept upon Osarus face when his opponent asked his question bluntly. 'Im perfectly content with where I am now, so I see no need in changing my tactics as of this moment.' Osaru stated calmly. He does his best to show little emotion, knowing it could give away key details about him and his weaknesses. He just kenw in his heart taht this fight was going on nicely, he was having a bit of fun, and he might actually have a chance at winning; though nothing seemed certain yet. He knew his opponent might have hinted on his plan, and may be on to him. Looks like I need to start fighting back a little, tahts if he knows where hes going with this... he told himself in his head. He drew three more kunai and threw at Ulkiras direction, then drew three more, and threw them too. Osaru would then draw yet another three for his left hand, these ones with wire also. He let the ninja wire from the kunai just fall to the ground, leaving them there unless he needed them later in the battle. The wires were anywhere from 5 to 10 meter long, less than a millimeter thick, yet extremely sturdy and durable; hence being one of the basic tools in a ninjas arsenal. Osaru would then take another defensive stance, with four kunai and his custom Spiked knuckles in hand, ready for anything Ulkira wold throw at him...

(OOC: Nah, it's alright, just be more careful next time. )

Ulkira didn’t say anything as Osaru replied to his statement. He hadn’t expected Osaru to listen to him, if he had, then he would have been extremely stupid. Listening to your opponent’s request was foolish, if not dangerous. Ulkira simply watched Osaru, thinking about all he had done so far, trying to figure out was his game plan was. As far as Ulkira could tell, Osaru had not used a single Ninjustu yet; he had only thrown weapons at him. In fact, Osaru had barely done anything in the entire fight. Ulkira’s thoughts were interrupted, however, when the Kitsuki threw the three kunai in his hand at Ulkira. Osaru then quickly drew three more kunai and threw them at Ulkira. Ulkira was starting to get a little irritated by the large stash of weapons Osaru possessed; no one but a weapon specialist would have so many. Raising his hands, Ulkira formed a few handsigns and expelled a jet of water from his mouth at the incoming kunai. The jet of water knocked the kunai off-course and shot toward Osaru, who had drawn yet more kunai. Ulkira then threw the two kunai in his hand at Osaru, and immediately took out the six shuriken he had put back into his holster, and threw them at Osaru. The shuriken already had wires attached to them which Ulkira had grasped in his hands and mouth. Using the Sharingan Soufuusha Sannotachi, Ulkira planned to make the shuriken wrap themselves around Osaru and bind him, and once they would, he would immediately launch a Katon attack on the Kituski. Of course, Osaru would have to deal with the jet of water coming at him first, and following that were the two shuriken Ulkira had thrown. Hopefully, Osaru would be too preoccupied in dodging those attacks that he wouldn’t see the shuriken shoot past him and wrap themselves around his body. Ulkira could only hope his plan would work.

Osaru noticed the Uchiha hadnt replied to his response, but it was nothing to worry about. He did see, however, a hint of frustration in his eyes. Osaru was too far to tell for certain, but he could understand it if his opponent was a little aggravated. Almost any Shinobi would be a little irritated if their opponent did nothing but the same monotonous attacks, and hadnt lost yet. He just sighed under his breath. His opponent formed a few handseals and explused a jet of water that knocked aside all his kunai and was coming straight at him. He just leapt in the air to avoid the water only to have two kunai thrown at him. He instinctivly threw all three kunai, deflecting two and and having the third shot at Ulkira. Pft. Childs play. he thought; but he spoke too soon. Out of the corner of his eye he saw six large shuriken flying at him. 'Kuso' he swore under his breath as he drew a trio of kunai, all having explosive tags attached to the end. Osaru dived to the ground, throwing all three kunai at the group of Shuriken. He formed a signal handsign and the Kunai exploded. He drew another trio of kunai, with wire attached this time, and threw them at the remaining shuriken, hoping they would deflect them off course by just enough to avoid them hitting Osaru. He looked back at Ulkira, only to see something glimmer off the end of the two remaining shuriken. He turned his head and saw ninja wire. 'Kuso!' he swore, this time out loud, as he flew into the air. He grabbed a couple of smoke bombs from a puch on his belt, and threw them in the air. He drew three shuriken from another holster and threw one at each smoke pellet, causing them to explode in mid-air, making a large cloud of smoke around him(about 6 or 7 meters in diameter).He made three Dopplegangers, and cast his Genjutsu on all of them, making it look like their bodies shifted a few meters to their side. Osaru gave each of them six kunai before he left. Osaru used Shunshin to appear in the far corner of the stadium behind Ulkira. He immediately used a disguise jutsu to look like a small stone, blending in with the stadium's enviroment. He just sighed in his head and prayed for the best, hoping his back-up plan could carry out for now til he thought of another one...

Ulkira’s jet of water had missed Osaru as he knew it would, and Osaru had deflected the two kunai he threw at him with his own kunai, throwing tow at the incoming kunai, and one at Ulkira. Ulkira didn’t react to that; that’s what he had Kobura for, to protect him against such attacks. Ulkira had to concentrate on controlling the shuriken, while Kobura handled any counter attack. Kobura opened his mouth and out shot his tongue, wrapping around the incoming kunai as it came within 3ft of Ulkira. Kobura grabbed the kunai with his tongue and dropped it to the ground. Meanwhile, Osaru had dodged all of Ulkira’s attacks, even the shuriken with the wires attached to them. Osaru had jumped into the air and set off a few smoke grenades, blocking him form view. As Ulkira reeled the shruiken back to him, he thought he heard the sound of Bunshins materializing, and deduced that Osaru had most likely created Bunshins. As the smoke cleared, Ulkira saw not one, but three Osaru’s in front of him. He wasn’t sure if Osaru was amongst the Bunshins, or if he was hiding somewhere else. Ulkira did a few back flips to get closer to the stadium wall. He landed straight and looked over at the three Osaru’s, waiting for them to make a move. He wondered if Osaru this was part of some plan Osaru had, or if he was out of ideas.

Osaru watched intently as the Uchiha just distanced himself from the Bushin. He deduced that the Uchiha was waiting to see his best course of action, but anything could be possible at this point. He just kept his eyes on the battle taking place before him. Hey, at least I can think now for a bit and not worry about the damn Uchiha interrupting my thoughts! he thought to himself; partially jokingly, partially serious.

Meanwhile, the three Bushin ran, splitting apart as they go. One ran to Ulkiras left, one to his right and the last, directly at him. They first two ran for a good 10 meters, before making a sharp turn at Ulkira. They all leapt in the the air and threw three kunai at him, these ones blank of any wire, tags or other attachments.Immediately afterward, they would throw another single kunai at the Uchiha, these three in total having ninja wire tied to the end. They would land on the ground, moving one kunai to each hand, holding them in a stabbing position. They would adopt a defensive stance, one similar to the ones the real Osaru had taken before, and await Ulkiras response.

Karasu was still flying high in the air, far above the stadium. He was using his decent eyesight to observe the match so far. Though Raven's eyes were the best in the world, they were still far better than most other animals. Though Karasu was only a bird to some, to Osaru, he was more than that. They were friends, companions and partners in battle. Never before had Karasu had to worry about their helath, but this battle was far more intense than any other one theyve been in. Both he and Osaru knew it would only get harder from here on out, but tehy could only hope for the best and fo down swinging...

If the fight continued Osaru would of most likely won, due to having alot more stamina and chakra..

You both show great roleplaying skill but unfortunately one can continue on, and that person in Osaru.
