| OOC - I was told that you are allowed to be in more than one topic so long as they aren't major topics. If this is wrong, then please tell me so and I will fix it. I'm not quite sure how, as it depends on the state of the topic at the time when I am informed of the wrongness. XP
- Another fair warning, I didn't reread so there is most likely spelling errors. ^^)
Paks sat perfectly still, her legs bent beneath her small body as she knelt in the sand. Vibrant eyes closed, she focused on her inner self. Her breaths were slow and deep, exhaling from the core of her being in tandem with the beat of the earth beneath her body. Her delicate fingers lay entwined in her lap, limp and yet within easy reach of a weapon. Her heart beat slowly, a steady thump that accompanied the thrum of her blood. She felt calm, serene. The sun beating down on her lithe form only succeeded in passing on the pulse of its rhythm.
Deep in her pensive state, Paks had taken precautions not to leave herself open. While she couldn't spare any of her focus on the outside world, a small snake was curled near her ankle. Its scales blending in perfectly with the sand it rested on, leaving no sign of its presence. Sunning herself, Nagi was content with keeping watch for now as Paks meditated.
Her mind skimmed along the calm ocean that was her psyche, watching the undulating waves and feeling keenly the chakra housed within her body. The rise and flow of energy as it moved through her body, and the visceral awareness of her lungs moving with every breath and her muscles relaxing as her heart pumped blood and oxygen throughout her body. Meditation was the skill of reaching an awareness that did not come from thoughts. It was only by removing her thoughts, or more accurately, accepting them as they came but not dwelling on them, that Paks was able to concentrate fully on her bodies internal workings.
This was a link that she worked hard to reach, and that she hoped to strengthen. So many things could be increased were she able to reach this state at will, this congruence of mind and body. It was instinctive, a primeval state and yet she felt totally at peace, her senses vast and seemingly omnipotent for the moment at least. This synchronization would be vital to mastering her bloodline, and even with such encouraging motives, Paks found herself stalled at this point. She could reach a concurrence of mind and body, but only so long as she threw all of her concentration into it. If she could not move past this, she would never be able to use this skill in battle.

| Kohaku's eyes flared into their blood line state, causing the green to be pushed out, and replaced by the beautiful ice silver that consumed her ocular jutsu, spaced with pure white, and a blue depth. her feet laced themselves to the ground for a brief moment, her hand finding its rest place by her side after it was used as a way to channel chakra, before she jumped fiercely into the air, her cat-like grace allowing her to do it without making a sound. the air gripped her body like a caressing mother. She trained all her life for moments like these. Just as the airs embrace left her body, allowing her to fall back to the ground, she jumped once more.
Ever since she had met that girl, Paks as she began to call her, she had not been able to get her out of her head. The way she carried herself, and the way her personality was so striking was too similar to herself to pass the opportunity to train her as her own. Also, she seemed to have been untouched by any jounin training already, otherwise her natural respect and regard for one would have been much more, and she would have dropped her guard long before she did that day.
Landing once more, Kohaku paused, the air having changed. There was more of a chakra presence here, one that was present, flowing at the moment. Kohaku sniffed with her nose, thinking he could pick up on a sent. She recognized the chakra, a strong but not overly abundant chakra. it seemed on the tip of her tongue.
Then it came, like a memory, or a word that one had struggled to remember until the moment it came back. It was the chakra of the girl, Paks, the genin who had not been able to make it out of her head, and seemed to be trapped forever. it meant she was close. And where ever she was, Kohaku wanted to see her. That chakra that was so like hers, only in a smaller dose, that chakra which was raw, but full of potential. That chakra which Kohaku knew she could mold into something great.
Jumping once more, Kohaku rose into the air, above a wall, revealing the girl, sitting in what looked like deep meditation. Kohaku smiled as she adjusted her position to land on the wall, her presence going without being heard. With a simple look, Kohaku could read what was happening in the girls head. A mind body connection was what she was trying to achieve. It was a noble thing that had brought Kohaku a long way ever since she had been able to bind her mind and body together, and use them as one to deliver a more powerful state of being.

| Paks floated, her mind submerged in the river of consciousness. Nagi flicked her tail, sunning indolently near the Genin's ankle. The nin-snake shifted, her scales immediately changing in color to suit her new position against the hot sand. Her bright eyes quickly picking up on the chakra signature of a human-shinobi and the snake's tongue flicked out to taste the air. Her senses informing her of the girl-Jounin who was traveling towards Paks. The vibrations in the wind were absorbed by her body, and the snake shifted to slither against Paks' leg in warning.
The sensation easily broke Paks' out of her concentration, and she blinked slowly before shifting to stare at Nagi. The nin-snake had gone back to sunning however, callously uncaring about the proceedings after she had warned Paks about the incoming Shinobi. Ignoring the dull ache in her limbs from staying still for so long, Paks nimbly got to her feet and brushed the sand off her clothes while her eyes scanned the surrounding area for whatever had set off the snake.
The Jounin from earlier was perched on a nearby wall, and Paks instinctively felt her body tense at the intrusion. She hadn't expected to see the Jounin again, and while Paks had a few idle fantasies about having a Jounin-Sensei who was as capable as the older kunoichi had shown herself to be, that was about all she had allowed herself to think on the matter. It was surprising to see her again, especially when Paks was nearly certain Suna was going through some sort of Jounin shortage. One would think that the Jounin's time would be in great demand right now.
Taking a muted step forward, Paks blinked up at the shinobi. Her mind was peacefully clear, the remnants of her meditation making the world appear sluggish. Bowing carefully in respect, Paks greeted the kunoichi, "Konbanwa Jounin-san."
