General InformationName: Gesshin Hyuuga
Nickname/Alias: -
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Looks: Gesshin has thin white hair that flows freely in the wind, it is medium in length. He stands fairly tall for his age at 5’6”, and shows no signs of his growth stopping anytime soon. He has some muscle to him, but overall he is a fairly lean, lanky guy. He is pretty agile because of his build. He does try to amass muscle sometimes, but it doesn’t usually work. Routine exercises bore him. Usually Gesshin wears v-neck white t-shirts and black sweatpants.
Gesshin’s arms are lined with scars. The scars are from a combination of things, the first being strenuous training with actual weapons. Despite his youth his father demanded that if he was going to become a shinobi he would have to train hard. He wasn’t about to let his only son enter into a field where his life is at risk without being prepared. The second cause was due to his carelessness and clumsiness. He often got beat up for silly things like tripping. The scars never fully heal because Gesshin likes to reopen them. There is no emotional/sentimental deeper meaning behind this, he just finds them annoying at points.
Personality: Gesshin is a young man with a huge ego. His parents have been feeding his ego since a young age telling him he was the greatest at everything he ever touched. Even so, he acknowledges that there are people who may be better than him at certain things, but he also believes he can surpass their abilities with time. For such a confident tough guy he does have a little soft side. Gesshin is sympathetic towards people who try hard and fail to meet their goal.
Sometimes when dealing with people he doesn’t know so well Gesshin will put up a tough guy appearance. When he does take the time to get to know people he usually dislikes them. Sometimes he does make friends, and though he doesn’t admit it those friends are the ones he trusts the most. The truth behind it is that Gesshin considers a friend someone that he can entrust his life too, which explains why he has such rigorous standards. As a result of all this Gesshin does not have many friends or many fans.
Personality Trait's: Gesshin has no real focus. The idea of a finite life does trouble his young mind.

Clan InformationClan Name: Hyuuga
Kekkei Genkai: This clan is known for its ability to visualize the chakra pathways, or tenketsu, of their opponent. Using this technique in conjunction with taijutsu techniques, they can forceably close their opponents chakra points so the victim can no longer use their chakra. The normal eye for a Hyuuga clan member differs from a normal human eye. The iris and pupil are barely discernable with both appearing a milky white in color. The pupil itself is larger than a typical humans and it is outlined by a black region. The sclera remains normal except the larger size of the pupil reduces ones ability to view it.
Clan Symbol: -
Clan History: The Hyuuga clan were one of the founding noble families of Leaf village. The clan itself is said to be the ancestors of the Uchiha clan who possess the bloodline of the Sharingan eye. Each clan member possess the "Byakugan" or "White Eye." When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the internal chakra circulation system in other beings. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings. The higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blindspot that extends outwards from their upper back.
The clan uses this ability in conjunction with their own chakra creating the Juuken (gentle fist) fighting style. By focusing the chakra to their finger tips, they can press the tenketsu or chakra pressure points of their opponents body. When the finger nears the tenketsu the chakra is forced out, collasping the targetted tenketsu for a period of time. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.
These great powers lead to internal strife within the family. Because the eye grants such a unique and powerful ability, the clan became possessive and over-protective of it. Seeing only the main family as worthy users and inheritors of the eye, the heads of the clan began to place restrictions on those branch family members not in power. What resulted were two Hyuuga lines, the powerful main family who would represent the line, and the branch family who were directed to protect the main family and bear the cursed seal.
The cursed seal is placed on the foreheads of branch family members. It serves as a means to protect the secrets of the Hyuuga Byakugan eye. If the branch family member was to ever betray the main family or be killed in battle, the seal would be activated to destroy the body's secrets. Thus forcing the branch family to further bow to the will of the main family.

When the hand draws close enough to strike, the clan member can stop or increase their opponents chakra flow. The internal chakra coils which spread throughout the body also wrap around the internal chakra producing organs. So if the internal coils are attacked, it also damages these internal organs. Because a ninja can not train their internal body, such damage can be a critical hit for even a highly skilled ninja.
Background InformationThe Early YearsGesshin’s father was a man by the name of Keiichi. Keiichi was a proud shinobi of Konoha, excelling at Taijutsu with his Hyuuga blood and Jyuuten style. The man faced many battles, some of which he will never share the memory of with Gesshin. In his final mission, the proud Hyuuga lost his ability to circulate chakra through the upper half of his body. Keiichi was an arrogant man that did not wish to have a tarnished reputation, and surely this failure would tarnish his image in the eyes of some. He dabbled with the idea of suicide for some time, but then he came to the conclusion that a life lived is far more valuable than a life lost. He spoke with some of the higher ups and requested a transfer to another village where he could live out his retired days. Out of sympathy they granted it to him, allowing him to leave for a newly allied Sunagakure. Once he reached Suna, he worked on starting a family with a young lady that he had encountered back during his active duty. They eventually had seven children, the fourth being Gesshin. Keiichi’s wife had a large family that was very close and involved in the children’s upbringing. Gesshin appreciates his family, and always keeps in mind one thing that his father taught him. “Reliance on weapons for success is weakness.”
Academy DaysGesshin entered the academy at a fairly late age of 12. Until that point he had been training with his father and the rest of his family. His training was very intense, and the marks of it could be noticed on his body. Gesshin was a very persistent trainer, which both pleased and frustrated his father. In the depths of his heart, Keiichi did not want Gesshin to become a shinobi. He had lived that life and knew what the child would face and deemed it a poor way to live out life. Despite this he knew that the child wanted nothing more than to become a shinobi so he catered to those aspirations, hoping that strenuous training might deter him. It didn’t, in fact the challenge only made him work harder and get more excited. Keiichi was an avid speaker against weapons, feeling that they were a sign of weakness, but when he trained the child he used weapons against him. It showed how to counter them, and how the pain caused by weapons measured up against the pain caused by Taijutsu. When Gesshin finally did enter the Academy he was not in it for long. The instructors were frustrated by him since he thought so much of himself. They were even more frustrated when they found that he was well trained. Some instructors felt that such training is undermining the institution and making their job that much more challenging. Gesshin refused to partake in exercises that involved weaponry, he was mocked by his classmates saying he was afraid of weapons. When the time came he showed them that weapons did not mean everything. He eventually graduated the Academy, some would speculate that it may have been because it was easier to send him into the real shinobi world than to deal with him in an academy setting. This is where he was now, a fairly accomplished student entering the world of men.

School. Who would opt to put themselves through such a heinous thing?
Let us run the scholarly gauntlet so we can be stripped of what we know and have that replaced with uncertainty. Nope, not his style. But.
This was supposed to be something different than just school. This was to be an experience, learning through the senses as opposed to the mundane route, books books books.
Should everything go well in this endeavor, one will find themselves a proud ninja. Nay, an adventurer. One cannot deny that such a position in society opens up a wide spectrum of opportunities for the overly ambitious to explore. Overly ambitious defines Toyo. Of course for him it may not be in the entrepreneur/pioneer spirit, it may more or less be his childish imagination.
Childish he was. There he stood in his assortment of colorful clothing put together by his mother. He couldn’t stop smiling if he wanted to, something about being here felt right to him. As his long brown hair blew in the soothing wind, the boy began to walk around the ground, striding confidently as if he owned the place. In his mind he was drawing out blueprints, trying to see if there was anything worthwhile that could be made of the building itself. Unbeknownst to him, his explorative senses would most likely factor in nicely to any ninja scenarios he may find himself in in the future.
Then without breaking stride he let out a sigh. Not one of exhaustion or discontent, more so a sigh of impatience. There was no need to prolong the inevitable, why can’t the grand adventure not begin now? Patience is one of the many key traits he lacks, but maybe it will come along as he matures. Too bad maturity seems like a distant ideal as of this moment.
Sure, to the on-looker Toyo may come off as a space-case, but to have as much going on in his head as he did would make anyone into a cloud-niner. Even though his head may be in the clouds, his overall appearance made the boy out to be approachable.
Without any provocation his expression changed from excited to curious. There could have been a multitude of reasons for such a change, but the truth was that he was questioning his own ability. Some people fail to realize that dreamers often do acknowledge themselves as human and having limits. Toyo was not completely ignorant of the danger that lied ahead, after all his uncle did lose an arm. Was this really what he wanted to spend the remainder of his childhood doing? Training to become a real shinobi?
His actions answered that question, as he broke out into dance in the middle of the road. Toyo was not the greatest dancer, he just kind of moved a lot. The fear of having to deal with the reality of being a shinobi is a risk worth it to reach the level where all the doors open for the ambitious youngster. There were just so many adventures inside of the grand adventure itself as well. No self-proclaimed adventurer could turn down such an opportunity.
Uncertainty would be his plan in entering such a world. Being the person he was he could find positives and only positives to support each and every path that he could take. So what it comes down to in the future is cost-benefit. If he were to try for ANBU he would be missing out on Med-Nin, but was there a chance that Med-Nin would provide the child with more pleasure. Toyo was never one to try and prove his intellectual worth outwardly, but without realizing it he was a very bright boy. Even so it would be gut wrenchingly hard to choose one over the other when you are a person that wants it all, not just a sample.
With every new life the world is revitalized, what was once obvious is now mysterious. There are those who choose to accept second hand knowledge as truth, and then those who must experience themselves and find their own truths. The ambitious, the curious, the oblivious. Toyo the dreamer.
