Mission: Silver Forgers(private Gesshin, Matthais, and Ren only)

Sand Genin

Matthais was as ready as he'll ever be, THis was his first mission. And it wasn't even with his squad. All he knew was that he would be paired with Gesshin Hyuuga and a Jounin called Ren. This would interesting to see how it would work out. There mission was to stop people that are making their own conterfeit money. So basiclly that have stop the people. And how hard could that be. With a Jounin and two Hyuuga it should be easy enough to find them and stop them. Matthais rose up his metal hand. 'I must pass my first mission.' He thought.

He waited for the squad by the gates. The gates were open at the moment. He looked out to the desert. 'At least you understand being lonely.' He thought to the sands of the vast desert. he wanted to go nnow, hell he even wanted to do this mission himself. But it is a C-ranked mission. And he needs a jounin to come along. Gesshin had nothing better to do sh Matthais invited him.

Matthais took out an apple from a small pouch on his waist. He pulled down his ninja mask and ate the apple. THe apple was plump and red. His favorite kind. When he was done he threw the core on the ground and sat down waiting. 'Hopefully they'll come soon.'

Sand Jounin

"Excited for this mission are we?" Ren asked as he seemed to appear out of nowhere, leaning against the inside of the gate walls just inches from the boy. He didn't look over at the boy when he spoke to him, but he had already taken in everything he needed to know about the boy. He was on the shorter end, to be expected since he was young, and not exactly very large. The boy didn't seem to be weak, but there was definitely a lack of visible muscles; not very different from Ren's own figure. The rest was useless information, the clothes he wore and the weapon he carried; but one thing did catch his eye. The boy had a metallic hand attached to his left arm. From what Ren had heard, this boy was a Hyuuga, he had no idea why someone who's fighting style revolved around chakra control would have something so restricting blocking his hand, so Ren could only assume that it wasn't a glove at all.

Ren himself was only a moderate length taller, with the same basic build as his temporary teammate. He had compact muscles, like a jungle cat's, ones that were powerful as any but not quite as visible. Covering the majority of his body was cloth, which wasn't the best idea in the desert, but Ren didn't seem to mind. Covering his feet were a pair of black shoes, looking to be some form of hybrid between a sneaker and a boot. The rest of his outfit consisted of black jeans, a white tunic which opened up slightly to reveal his collar bone, and a black scarf that was wrapped around his neck. Attached to the front of the scarf, glittering in the intense sunlight, was the metal headband that revealed him to be a Sunagakure no Sato shinobi. Hanging at his waist was a beautifully crafted katana, the handle wrapped in blue silk. The pommel held three tiny bells, ringing as they shook in the light breeze. The cross guard was a circle with what seemed to be two half-diamonds on either side.

Smirking to himself as he turned his closed eyes up to the sunlight, Ren began to listen for any sound that would announce the arrival of the second squad member. He had no idea why the Kazekage would do something as stupid as placing him with a squad once again, they had been over this when he was a Chuunin. However, Ren had recently come to terms with where he was in the world, so he would make sure not to screw things up too badly. Again his thoughts were wandering, and yet there was no real sign of the other genin, Sighing, he opened one eye and turned it down upon the genin that was actually there. "Are you Matthais or Gesshin?" He asked in a tone that revealed the fact that he actually had very little interest in the answer. He was just passing time.

Sand Genin

With every step he took forward he looked backward. He waited and watched as the slow winds covered his tracks. The sand was fascinatingly malicious. The young boy turned his head to the sky and was struck by the realization that he was running late. In honesty, he had never been to this part of the village before. His life had consisted of one that barely left the four walls of his home, let alone the residential and market sectors of the village. This was a whole new world.

In the distance he noticed two people seemingly awaiting his arrival. Hopefully they wouldn’t make too much of him being late. As he came into focus they would notice his pure white hair. His grey eyes were half closed, the sand was irritating them and he would rather not damage his strongest asset. On his forehead he proudly displayed his Sunagakure headband, although it was covered by some of his hair. It was not meant as a sign of disrespect, he just liked for his hair to be free flowing. His body build was average, nothing stood out in particular. He wore a beaten up v-neck t-shirt. It was originally plain white, but over the years it had gotten a little messy here and there. As per usual, he wore his black sweatpants. They were loose fitting and provided for optimum maneuverability. He couldn’t rationalize why he preferred them to shorts, he just did. His body was full of bruises and scars. He didn’t mind them. They were how he learned and a catalyst that would eventually make him stronger.

As he neared his destination he wondered why he had been assigned to a mission that was not with members of his own squad. There was a small confrontation associated with him hiding some of his key characteristics, but had that been truly enough for him to be reassigned. Maybe someone just had confidence in his ability and put a good word in. No matter how it came to be, today he was going to set off on his first mission. It was another issue entirely that his first mission would be a C-rank.

He acknowledged both of the people standing before him. Gesshin couldn’t be sure that they were his teammates, but he did have a gut feeling that they were.

”I’m Gesshin.”

He didn’t like giving out his name, especially when he was uncertain of whether or not they were actually his teammates. A name places a label on oneself, just as any other label could limit one’s understanding of another so can a name. Oh well, sometimes it was necessary.

Sand Genin

"I'm Matthais Hyuuga." Matthais strecthed out his metal hand to shake the jounin's. "And that guy there is Gesshin." Matthais withdrew his hand from the Jounin and pointed and the white haired Hyuuga that was just showing up. So this was the team that was made for this mission. A bit of an odd team, two Genin Hyuuga with one Jounin. But being apart of the hyuuga clan would and hopefully make up for the one missing Genin. "Okay, let's get started. In case you guys didn't read the letter that were suppose to get, there are people making fake money. It is our mission to stop them. Now," He looked at the Jounin "Its up to you if we are allowed to kill them. I have no problem with it."

Matthais turned around and looked out unto the desert. "Today I get my first mission." He said in a low voice so that the others wouldn't hear. THen in a shouting vioce "Lets Get going you guys." He started to walk then started to talk. "I think that we have a huge advantage, with the byakugan we'll be able to see hidden bombs and people from far away. This shouls be easy." He said in a cocky voice.

Sand Jounin

Ren shook the metallic hand of his genin teammate's and nodded his head at each introduction, making note of their name even though he wouldn't need to remember them soon enough. He turned his back on the genin known as Gesshin, barely having gauged his appearance. The boy was a Hyuuga, and he wore the fact proudly Ren assumed. Either way, he didn't need to know much more about the boys than the fact they were both obviously taijutsu users, maybe even experts, and that they both had extended sight.

"You have good eyes, Matthais-kun, but they aren't all-mighty. You would do well to never overestimate the power they give you." He said to the genin with the metallic arm, looking down at him as he followed the boy through the gates. His scarf trailed through the air behind him, like a massive black tail. "Gesshin, don't fall behind!" He called out. "Oh, and as for killing, let's avoid it if possible. Jail is a much more cruel fate than death." He added on, directing it to the both of them. With a smile he turned his face up to the sky and basked in the warmth of the day.

Sand Genin

The mission seemed basic enough. They were to punish individuals who were exceedingly greedy. Greed was a basic flaw of the human species, everyone was intrinsically greedy. It almost seems wrong to punish someone for exercising abstract methods to better themselves. Gesshin was not concerned with the moral dilemma that the mission might raise, it was his obligation to enforce the law. The team was definitely different than any other he had been a part of. There were only two Genin to one Jounin, and the Genin shared a common bloodline. It was strange enough that another Hyuuga existed in Sunagakure, but to be placed in the same squad? Seemed like a waste of a distinct skill set. Either way, they would have to make it work for at least one mission, then he could return to his normal squad.

The Genin seemed to be overconfident, but the Jounin was quick to shut down his ego. Surely the Byakugan would help, but to accomplish a mission like this one it would take more than just special eyes. On top of that, it seemed as though the Genin considered himself the leader of the squad through the way he addressed the group. Matthais also suggested the possibility of killing the enemy, which seemed like a bit much for counterfeit money. Fortunately Ren agreed that killing the criminals would be over doing it, and noted that if they were to kill them they may end up in jail. Jail would prove to be a waste of all these years of training, and therefore must be avoided at all costs.

Gesshin hurried up so that he would not hold back the group.

”Understood.”

Sand Genin

Matthais got irratated with the jounin's remark. 'I've killed before, you idiot.' He thought. But he knew better then to say it out loud. He walked though the sand. 'Now if I was making illegal money where would hide?' He asked himself in his mind. 'They dont want to be found, but maybe they want to lead us to a trap. And there is the possibility that I'm being paranoid.' Matthais shook the thought away. 'Maybe Ren or Gesshin had some ideas.' "Okay guys, I have no idea what to do. I was thinking that Gesshin and I could use our Byakugans to search the desert, but its to huge and to do a complete scan with two Hyuuga would take days. And we dont have that kind of time. So I was guessing that maybe we could seperate for a bit. I think that Gesshin and I should head east, and Jounin Ren should head more west. That way we cover more ground, if you find something you could shout for us. And we could call for you. What do you guys think?" Matthais waited for their answer.

Sand Jounin

Ren thought this over for a while, having stopped abruptly in the middle of the desert. It seemed the weather was agreeable today, and the sun wasn't too intense, so he kept his scarf down. Biting down on his bottom lip as he thought things over, he gazed off toward the east. "Before I send you out to get lost in the desert, lets think logically. If these counterfeiters are just average criminals, most likely the kind that higher thugs because they have no real skills of their own besides criminal thought processes and forging, then they won't just randomly set up their operations in the middle of the desert where they can get lost. We'd be looking for a cave or other sheltered area, probably near quite a few landmarks that mark an invisible path." He said, as he pondered further.

His head turned to the east, and then to the west. Sighing, he turned his head once again to the north, off in the distance was a shadowy figure. Smiling broadly, Ren pointed toward it with one finger. "You don't need fancy bloodlines to find someone, you just need a brain. That, my friend, is a cactus. Not just any cactus, it is a rather large cactus, considering its size from so far away. I imagine we can start there, if we get up close and find another large area somewhere in the horizon we have our path." He said, chewing the bottom lip once again.

These boys are young...they haven't learned yet.. I hope they don't screw up. He thought to himself, though he wasn't trying to fool himself into thinking he cared about the boys' well-being. It really only mattered that he get the mission he was assigned done. Plus, losing two genin would end very badly upon his return, he was sure of that one.

Sand Genin

The other Hyuuga boy knew the basics pertaining to the mission, but his proposal to go about finding the criminals was wild. Searching the whole desert would take nearly forever even with Byakugan’s. The Jounin had a better idea, lowly criminals would need a sign of sorts to find their way back to their hideout in the vast desert sands. Gesshin’s only concern was that the criminals were not necessarily lowly criminals. They very well could be members of a crime syndicate, and even have shinobi backgrounds. He wasn’t worried, more like curious. Either way, they should let their guard down.

He followed the lead of the Jounin and headed towards the cactus. It was a fairly good idea, but there had to be something more to these thieves.

”What is the purpose of generating fake money? It would be to purchase whatever their hearts desire, but there could only be so much they would want for themselves. If I were to purchase things with counterfeit money I would most likely opt to resell the items to people who didn’t have access to them. That would be one hell of a profit margin. So maybe the markers we are looking for would start at the forest and come in towards the hideout, since the non-villagers would struggle greatly with the desert.”

He thought his idea was fairly thought out, of course it could be entirely off. Either way, they had no better leads. Any idea would be better than no idea at all. Gesshin had never been beyond the boundaries of the village, therefore he had no idea where to start. Hopefully one of the other two would have some sort of idea.

Sand Genin

Matthais didnt say anything to Gesshin's question. For every time he talked he was shot down. He looked at the cactus, from the distance he was from it, it did seem fairly large. 'So now we are going to a plant out in the middle of the desert. Oh great this will be a fun mission.' He thought with sarcaism, He looked around and saw a small Oasis. It was the same Oasis that he killed that other genin. He stopped for a moment. Then continued to walk. 'I really hope that this isnt payback. I just want to complete this mision and go home.' That memory wasn't the worst he had. THe worst was when he was attacked by an Akatsuki member. He was almost killed, until a Jounin stopped the Akatsuki member, however she was captured. It was all Matthais's fault, if he had just stayed home. But that is nothing more then a memory, and he needed to complete this mission.
