Description: Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

Tei sighed as she quietly stepped out into the open clearing, her eyes closing as the breeze tugged at her hair and clothes. When she had been in the Academy, Tei had never gotten to learn to use Kai. She had missed a day of school because of a large burn she got when training to use the Rat of Flame. It had haunted her ever since her graduation and now was the time to learn it.

Calling up a memory of Tsubasa telling her how to use Kai, she formed the hand signs and focused her entire mind on the hand signs. There was no one around to use the genjutsu, but she at least needed to practice. When nothing happened, she huffed loudly, throwing her hands up. Easily frustrated, Tei was what their father liked to call "a true decendant of the Tsukinos". They all shared that same quality: frustrated quickly, yet stubborn as ever.

She took a small breath and slowly let it out, letting her body relax as she tried to focus her mind again. Clasping her hands together, she formed the signs again, but heard something behind her and quickly turned to see what it was.
